Canada Trip Itineraries
Calgary Winter Romance
Calgary is a great city for couples, as there are many fun and romantic activities and venues to check out. This trip works better in the winter - a better season for snuggling, warming up by the fire and enjoying the bright lights at night. Also, activities for this trip are scheduled to start in the afternoons, as mornings are left open for leisurely breakfasts and lounging in bed - it's too cold to get up early! read more about Calgary Winter Romance... Business in Vancouver
The Loden Hotel is a great hotel to stay at when you're going to be doing a lot of business downtown Vancouver. It's a boutique hotel that caters to all of your needs. Voya, their in-house restaurant serves up culinary delights on a daily basis. They have fantastic cocktails, a colorful menu with lots of flavorful items made with fresh, local ingredients. Caffe Artigiano serves the best coffee in Vancouver and is popular amongst locals who need their java hit. They make great baked goods and the vegetarian breakfast wrap will keep you full during all those morning meetins. MARKET by Jean-Georges in the Shangri-La hotel is regularly frequented by business men and women because of their prix fixe lunch menu that's quite a good deal. Italian Kitchen is not far from the Loden Hotel and is a trendy spot to be seen for dinner after work. When you're not in meetings and winning over clients, head down Robson Street and browse through shops or take a gander in the Vancouver Art Gallery. Gastown and Canada Place are only a short walk (or even shorter cab ride) away. read more about Business in Vancouver... Read More
Top Ten Romantic Things to Do in Ontario
The list of romantic things to do in Ontario stretches well beyond the Niagara falls, although this global landmark is our first obvious pick. However, if you decide to go a bit further with your explorations and take some advice from the knowledgeable locals, you are guaranteed to find some great spots that might not be as spectacular as the Falls, but that surely are relaxing and exciting. Our favorite from the romantic list is the visit to the Toronto Islands, where you can get by ferry and take full advantage of being in the largest car free community in North America. The Lafleche Adventure Park is also a great choice, especially for passionate explorers, as the natural landmarks you will encounter here are truly amazing. Nevertheless, if you decide to go urban romantic for the night go and see a performance at the Factory Theatre, one of the most creative alternative theatre companies in Canada. read more about Top Ten Romantic Things to Do in Ontario... Best of Banff: Food, Sights and Festivals
Many people know Banff for its incredible scenery. Some think it is a tourist trap, over-commercialized and lacking character. This tour will show you another side of Banff - exposing you to the incredible culture of Banff, local food, history, and of course, some of the mountain lakes and areas of this national park. On this particular tour, you'll also enjoy the Dragon Boat Festival out at Lake Minnewanka where teams from across the region gather to compete. read more about Best of Banff: Food, Sights and Festivals... We spent a wonderful week at the end of the summer exploring the great parks of the Canadian Rockies, including Banff, Jasper, and Mt. Robson Provincial Park just over the border in B.C. This was a classic "hard days, soft nights" trip where we stayed at great hotels but spent our days being super-active, doing a bunch of hiking, biking, and kayaking. We also made a real effort to explore some hidden gems. read more about Rockies Ramblin'... Read More
First Time in Whistler
You've come to Whistler for the crisp fresh air and soft pillow-like snow and when you arrive, to your delight, you see that there is so much more. Whistler is a small town with a large list of fun things to do, year round.
Whistler Village is the main artery of the town. There you will find most of Whistler's restaurants, bars, hotels, cafes and attractions.
The base of the gondola for Whistler/Blackcomb is in the Village, but there's also another gondola over at Creekside, which is just a five minute bus ride away from the Village. There are grocery stores at both Creekside and in the Village, which is convenient if you're renting one of the many suites with cooking amenities.
Much of Whistler Village is pedestrian only and it's small enough that walking everywhere is a breeze. There is a bus system and taxi services, so if you're leaving the Village, it's quite easy to get around.
No matter what time of year you're venturing to Whistler, you're sure to have a good time and take advantage of the city's great outdoors. read more about First Time in Whistler... Read More
