A Family Trip to Breckenridge
Back in the 1800s, a careless cartographer neglected to put Breckenridge on the map. Util the mistake was discovered and corrected, the town was known as Colorado's Kingdom. Although Breckenridge is now one the most famous destinations in Colorado, its townspeople like to celebrate its former “kingdom” status. As such, in each year, the town celebrates Kingdom Days, an event that features living history reenactments, historic walking tours, gold panning, old western gun fights, and, would you believe, outhouse races. The event is free, and if you stay at the budget-friendly Fireside Inn, this will be the ultimate family vacation. Spend your first day adjusting to the altitude and hanging out in or near the in. The owners have two adorable standard poodles, which the kids will enjoy. The Fireside Inn is across the street from the Father Dyer Church. Dyer was the minister who traveled from town to town on his skis, delivering the mail, along with the word of God. You can see stain glassed images of Mr. Dyer in the church windows.

Every Good Italian Girl MUST eat here:
Growing up in Denver with a very strong Italian family, there wasn't a single Sunday dinner or holiday that didn't include a trip to Gaetano's, an Italian restaurant known in the Italian community as being a family owned, and the perfect vision of Italian fare and tradition.
As I got older, I ventured away from the standard restaurants I went to as a kid and started exploring the newer Italian restaurants and what I found was that they're a plethora of them all over Denver!
If you're craving garlic, mozzarella, a copious amounts of fantastical red wine; you'll want to check out any, or all of these joints. Make sure to go with an empty tummy, you'll need to save room for Tiramisu! read more about Every Good Italian Girl MUST eat here:... Read More
