Amazing Anniversary Experience
We came here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary five years ago and couldn’t wait to return for our 30th! We were greeted with the warmest of welcomes then shown to our gorgeous room which had everything we could possibly need including a N’espresso coffee machine, a jar of Amberley Castle baked cookies, a Dyson hairdryer and luxurious L’Occitane toiletries. We enjoyed our pre dinner cocktails in one of the relaxing lounges before we were taken to the restaurant for an amazing dinner which was heaven for food lovers like us! The bed and pillows were so comfortable I really didn’t want to get up in the morning, however, breakfast was fantastic so it was worth it! We walked that off with a wander around the beautiful hotel grounds and into Amberley which is full of chocolate box thatched cottages, a little church, the pottery and Village Store, which are also nearby and worth a visit. All in all we didn’t want our amazing experience to end and wish we could’ve stayed longer. The friendly, attentive staff, gorgeous surroundings and cleanliness of the hotel were all exceptional and we really can’t wait to return again.

A truly wonderful experience
The main restaurant is wonderful so make sure you book to eat there one evening. The Castle is beautiful inside and out and the staff were all welcoming, professional and pleased to welcome us.

A perfect place to spend at least a couple of days with excellent amenities, restaurant, rooms and particularly people
Spend at least 2 days to give you time to have a good look round teh castle and grounds. The team at Amberley castle are first class, the restaurant is set in an amazing hall with fabulous ceiling and views. It is also within 15 mins drive of Arundel castle which we would highly recommend a visit to if you hav ethe time.

Super stay
Made to feel welcome by Carol at reception from the second we arrived and that warmth and professionalism continued to our departure. Carol was the outstanding member of staff for us but all were great. The building is historic as you would expect and if you want air conditioning and power showers this is not the hotel for you, old buildings do not lend themselves to ultra modern touches. The food is good, the service excellent and the only criticism we found was that the mattresses ( we tried two rooms and both with the same issue) were on the soft side.

Once again Amberley Castle provided the perfect venue for a birthday afternoon tea service was as professional as ever but also friendly food delicious as always a must at anytime - the surroundings as always were beautiful lawns lovely and the dinner room magically
