Las Casitas del Colca in Arequipa, Peru
With its luxury pedigree and a quiet canyon setting in bucolic southern Peru, Las Casitas del Colca embraces its harmonious surroundings. A cluster of 20 private and spacious casitas - some freestanding and others separated by a common lobby - are each individually appointed with cool indigenous tiles, foyers that segue to bedrooms and lounge areas, working fireplaces, and dressing rooms attached to bathrooms. There are also indoor and outdoor showers, allowing you to bathe beneath the cloudless skies. Each guest residence also has its own terrace as well as a private plunge pool. Rooms are equipped with telephones, wireless internet access, heated flooring, and mini bars for your additional comfort.
Housed in the resort's main building is the intimate à la carte restaurant whose menu is graced with Peruvian specialties. Andean meals are created from a cornucopia of fresh herbs and vegetables tended with care at the on-site gentleman's farm. Pastures are spotted with animals and livestock - including horses, cows, and rabbits - plus a trio of ponds filled with trout. Las Casita del Colca also has its own culinary school where students can learn from skilled chefs. Spa Samay is a place of relaxation and well being. Enter it through a meandering path through a fragrant eucalyptus grove and a small greenhouse growing the herbs and plants featured in the signature spa treatments. The activities offered are some of the simplest of pleasures, such as stargazing and horseback riding - a true complement the serene nature of this blessed land. Spend time in harmony with the Colca Canyon at Las Casitas del Colca.

Reviews for Las Casitas del Colca
Eco-friendly accompdation with fabolous single houses with everything you can imagine. Great free activities such as Pisco sour and cooking classes. Hreat gatdens and biological farm where you can see pigs, llamas, alpacas and guinea pigs. Great spa center and wonderful views of the whole valley. Really quite and romantic place to stay. Utterly recomendable.
Beautiful casitas. Very quiet when we were there but breakfast and dinner service was excellent. Very good massage at the small spa. Overall would recommend due to beautiful rooms and grounds. The premium casitas Re located furthest away from the main building and it was quite a hike to dinner!

great hotel great stay. Amazing rooms, amazing service, great location. We had a really wonderful time. Unfortunately we did not try the restaurant other than the breakfast time. Breakfast was great, except if you expect almost a lunch menu during breakfast (which i don't). Would happily stay there again

What a paradise!! We stayed here for one night and wished we were staying for at least a week. It is fantastic. We were in the Colca Canyon to see the mighty condors and we were so lucky our travel agent booked this hotel. We had a separate luxurious bungalow surrounded by beautiful gardens. We really enjoyed walking around the grounds and watching the hummingbirds. We also enjoyed the stunning views of the canyon. Dinner in the restaurant was a treat, especially after we had enjoyed a lesson on making pisco sours. Service is excellent, facilities top notch and food delicious.

OK general experience but the feeling is that nothing has been updated since 2011. A lot of lamps not working and the interior starts to look tarnished. The service was very uneven with some service being very nice and then the front desk who was seen once during the stay. To call it a 5 star hotel in 2017 is a slap in the face toward a lot of the newer hotels in Peru since a lot has happened within Peru but time seems to have stood still at the casitas..The alpaca was really perfect at lunch but then it seems that the chef was switched for the dinner service and at dinner the filet was terrible...At least the kids liked the pasta Alfredo so maybe the chef should only make that....Don't expect a luxury hotel but the breakfast and the hot spring jacuzzi with the room was good.
