The Place to Stay in Uluwatu!

We had a wonderful stay at Alila Villas Uluwatu. The views from the reception and restaurants are magical. All the staff are extremely friendly and professional, the hotel manager answers WhatsApp message requests within minutes! The rooms are modern, spacious and well maintained with a large outdoor area and private pool. The breakfast, lunch and dinner served at the hotel is fresh, delicious and 5 stars all-around! The local Indonesian cuisine at the hotel for lunch/ dinner is a must, the flavours and quality is exceptional. There is also access to a remote and untouched beach 600 steps away from the pool area - definitely worth a trek and visit in the morning hours! We couldn't recommend Alila Villas Uluwatu more! A+

Memorable Stay with Thoughtful Services

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We were very happy with the special arrangements prepared for us—it added a thoughtful and personal touch to our experience. The villa was spacious and comfortable. However, we did notice that some of the amenities felt a little dated. For example, the control switches could be modernised, and there were visible cracks on certain floor tiles. It would also be more convenient to have a central switch to control the standalone table lamps. Features such as automated curtains or screens would also help elevate the in-villa experience. Additionally, we would suggest providing extra towels specifically for use at the villa’s pool, as we preferred not to mix them with the shower towels. The host and staff were warm, attentive, and very responsive to our needs throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated. We did encounter a slight issue during breakfast at CIRE around 7 a.m. — it seemed there was a shortage of staff, and it took some time before our order was taken. The food also took a while to be served. That said, all the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. The food quality was excellent, though we felt the menu had limited variety.

“The Alila Uluwatu is a truly gorgeous property with breathtaking views. It was the perfect end to our honeymoon. I strongly recommend the hotel for a private getaway for couples although there were some families present at the time we were there. Definitely a very pricey hotel. The saying ""if you have to ask then you probably can't afford it"" I think fits well. However with views and luxury behind them I figure one shouldn't complain. Really miss waking up to seeing my private pool, cabana and the blue skies and seas of the Indian ocean sprawled out before me. Service couldn't be flawed either. Smiles everywhere accompanied by genuine interest to make sure all was well with meals, spa, rooms etc."
