In a tranquil corner of northern Bali,The Damai exudes a soft-spoken grace that mirrors the beauty of the region. This divine sanctuary is oeLovina(TM)s most elegant, intimate, and relaxed,” raves Fodor(TM)s. Each of its eight bungalows is tastefully adorned with antiques and beautiful textiles that recreate ancient Indonesian patterns. Nature is essential to the property, from the bungalows(TM) private open-air baths and the spa pavilion overlooking a neighboring rice paddy to the al fresco restaurant serving organic produce grown right on the grounds.

This place is the bomb! It is up the mountain road and worth the ride. They have wonderful and kind staff in a beautiful setting. It is very peaceful with I believe 11 rooms. We stayed in the beautiful villa with the plunge pool (shout out to Gus De!). We had a deck with chaise lounge chairs and also our own shady nook to shelter from the sun if we wished. The room was gorgeous with a view out to the sea. We had a place to read books and while we had a TV…..why turn it on. We had a tub and outdoor shower. The lighting if you’re into that, is great. The bugs generally stayed out of our room with a stray ant here or there which is surprising for a jungle. Our pool stayed bug free too. What a place! Just beautiful. While we’ve been here we’ve had breakfast and dinner. Both excellent! The bar is welcoming and before I forget…get a massage or two. The ladies are top notch!! My husband and I both got massages and feel really relaxed and it’s the day after😌🙏🏼🙌🏻. Here are some pictures. You decide. It’s really nice here.

The Damai (Hard to find, Hard to leave) is a gem, well hidden inside a lush forest. From the villas, however, there is a fantastic view over the sea. The staff provide a fantastic service. The food is in a class by itself. Tip: choose a pool villa.

Our stay was a wonderful experience. The breakfast is one of the best i’ve experienced The rooms are a little dated. No netflix and no easy access to powerpoints to dry hair. We stayed in a room far from the main reception but the courtesy cart was readily available to pick us up at any given time. Also a courtesy car was available to take us into Lovina for bookings at local restaurants. To my surprise the local restaurants supplied courtesy cars for pickup and drop off. Lovina central was very disappointing. Beaches dirty and really nothing to see. We went on a dolphin tour. Saw many dolphins. The best part of the trip.

It is a very nice hotel with very nice staf. The rooms are very pretty. And take a cocktail at the Bar! The mojiti with rum is amazing! The staf was very helpful when unfortunately we needed to leave earlier than planned. Thank you for everything! We come back for sure! The spa is amazing! You should really try it.

A superb location in the hills above the black sand beaches on the north coast of Bali. Very comfortable accommodation. Impressive food offering. Very helpful staff. This is the complete luxury package that offers a taste of real Bali off the tourism mainstream.
