Everything about this castle is magnificent! The rooms, the bed is like a cloud, the gardens are spectacular, the staff are fantastic and the “walking the hounds” was a great experience & a lot of fun!! The dungeon for dinner was disappointing & not up to the standard of the rest of the venue so we regret not having dinner in the fine dining restaurant but that would definitely not deter me from staying again.. next time I would allow more time to enjoy the property & it’s offerings!!

Amazing Stay. Everyone we encountered asked "What can we do to make your stay better". Very professional staff and outstanding service. Upon check-in, our bags were delivered to our room and our vehicle was parked by the valet. We were shown around the castle and then driven to our pre-booked hawk walk at the falconry school. We had our "own" hawk and our handler Jeff was amazing. We were notified when our room was ready, and shown to our quarters. Our room was incredibly nice and offered a beautiful on-suite with heated towel rack and floor. There were guest robes and slippers waiting in our room also. The room came equipped with a flat-screen television, blow dryer and iron and ironing board. We had reserved dinner in the George V dining room, which has a dress requirement outlined in the brochure. After dinner, we strolled the grounds and then retired to our room. Our bed was very comfortable and had wonderful linens. The next morning, we had the included breakfast, which was also delightful. Check out a smooth process and our bags were loaded and our car brought around for our departure. This was a bucket list stay for us. We don't usually stay at a place like Ashford Castle, but I can tell you that we had excellent service and were very well cared for. Would definitely consider staying again should we return to the area.

We just completed our 4 day group visit to Ashford Castle and I would be remiss if I didn’t share my accolades not only for one of the finest properties on earth but also for some of the finest staff in the travel industry. I have been arranging group travel for more than 30 years but Ashford Castle continues to amaze me. It was a fantastic stay. Our 40 passengers are affluent travelers who have traveled the world and they were in awe the entire time. Now about the staff. It’s always said that excellence filters from the top down and this is indeed the prime example of such excellence. Lisa, the manager, took us by the hand during each stage of our visit and added to the class and competency of all the staff. Since my first contact many years ago, I have had the pleasure of working with Regina, Catherine, Michael, Jenny, and many others but Sharon is always there in the planning stages of our events and those events were flawless. Her staff depict the class and hospitality that portrays your exceptional property very well. They were very efficient and don’t know how to say “no” to any requests. Yes, I know you have an exceptional training program but somehow Ashford Castle finds the perfect people to fill the many roles. How impressive!! Bravo Ashford Castle!! We will be returning for sure.

Ashford Castle is in my top 5 places I have ever been. The castle itself was much more relaxed and welcoming than I anticipated. We were very surprised to feel at home walking around in casual clothing and we were not the youngest people there.

Every moment of our visit to Ashford Castle was perfect. From our amazing arrival greeting being piped over the entry bridge to our superb gourmet dinner in the George V dining room. The next afternoon, when we were ready for our private Hawk Walk it was lightly raining. The front staff provided both my husband and myself with wellies, just in case it might be muddy. Our Hawk Walk was a dream come true. We hope to return again to Ashford Castle to enjoy much more of this brilliant hotel's activities. My husband wants to go fishing and I wish to enjoy the Chef's Island Picnic plus together go horseback riding. Our accommodations were truly exceptional! Every detail was thought of carefully. Each evening, not only did the attentive staff provide slippers, robe and chocolates, but they also laid a poem on our pillows and lit a lovely candle which glowed all night. Next time we come to Ireland, we plan to spend an entire week at Ashford Castle. It truly is the best of the best!
