Another wonderful experience at Ashford Castle last weekend. It gets better each time we visit. The boat cruise was informative and fun. The Falconry Experience is not to be missed. Great, knowledgeable, friendly guides, who clearly love what they do, makes the experience unique and very enjoyable. A walk to Cong village for coffee - or perhaps something stronger..?..is a lovely way to spend and hour or two. Notwithstanding the extraordinary location and beautiful condition and setting of the hotel, the best thing we found is the careful attention of all staff who are welcoming and genuinely helpful, but without any fuss or sense of self -importance, or, dare I say it, being "posh"! It is a first class experience throughout, yet delivered in the most pleasant, welcoming manner. Easy luxury is a rare treat. You will find it here.

Incredible visit
My wife and I just returned from Ireland. We were fortunate enough to spend 4 nights at Ashford Castle. While I don't have a "bucket list", this was a dream visit of mine of many decades. I finally made it and it exceeded my expectations. As with most of Ireland, the scenery around the castle is spectacular. But the real attraction at the castle are the people. The service level is unique and you are treated like family. Many of the staff members have worked there for decades. They are committed to making every visit special. And they succeed. Highly recommend a stay at Ashford Castle!

Wonderful visit!
Our trip to Ashford Castle was amazing! It is luxury in its finest form. The attention to detail was top-notch. You will not be disappointed if you choose to visit. We enjoyed many of the outdoor activities because the weather in July was fabulous in Ireland!

Excellent exclusive hotel
Ashford Castle is one of the most prestigious hotels to stay at in Ireland and deservedly so. Although the way I had a great experience stayingin the castle, it is a little unusual that the Sister hotel guests are essentially not allowed in the castle unless they have a reservation fordinner, etc. This makes a castle very exclusive. Was great for me, but seems a little less than friendly. The staff was excellent and everything about the service was perfect. If you’re going to stay here, you must get a room in the castle for the full experience.

This is one of the finest properties we have ever visited. It is a beautiful castle, but it is also a world class hotel in the most beautiful setting you can imagine. The grounds are large and bikes are available for guests, the fishing on the river and the lake are first rate, and the service is unmatched. We have stayed twice and can't wait to go back again.
