Magical Getaway
My mother and I stayed at S-Fort Castle for two nights on December 8th and 9th, and it was truly one of the most magical experiences we have ever had. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with incredible warmth and kindness. The staff were absolutely outstanding, and we would especially like to mention the wonderful Hungarian gentleman who greeted my mother in Hungarian. Since she does not speak English, this meant so much to us and immediately made her feel comfortable and at home. The hospitality was exceptional. We received detailed and thoughtful information about everything, and the wide range of activities available was impressive. There was always something interesting to do, and the staff were happy to help with any request. On our first evening, at the end of our dinner, I was surprised with a lovely birthday treat. We had not mentioned any special occasion in advance, so this gesture truly touched my heart. It showed how attentive and caring the staff are — they genuinely listened to what I said and went out of their way to make me feel special. The surroundings are simply breathtaking. The landscape is beautiful, and the Christmas decorations made the entire castle feel even more magical and festive. It truly felt like stepping into a fairytale. The food was phenomenal — every meal was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The room service was unforgettable and added an extra touch of luxury to our stay. Thanks to the amazing staff, the atmosphere, and the attention to every little detail, we truly felt like Disney princesses during our visit. This stay was more than just a hotel experience — it was a memory we will cherish forever. We are incredibly grateful to everyone at S-Fort Castle for making our time there so special. We cannot wait to return! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable and magical getaway.

Home Away From Home
A stay at Ashford Castle is beyond spectacular. One key to its extraordinary experience are the staff! From the moment you enter, you will feel you've come home to a warm and caring family who have simply been awaiting your return (and they will really remember you if you do return!), Exploring the fabulous grounds and woods (don't miss the ruins of Cong Abbey), and any activities that appeal to you will make for lifetime memories and gorgeous photos. And you can't miss Eoin's Ashford Unique Experiences. Music, art, history, soda bread baking, cheese making, sheep and knitting, Wild Atlantic Way, whatever your fancy, he will curate the experiences. Eoin is a treasure on his own. Being at Ashford Castle for however long is a memory you will cherish. You do not even need to live in an 80 room castle to believe Ashford is your dream home away from home.

A wonderful experience in every sense, from the beautiful surroundings, the fine food and wines, the service and comfort, but more especially the Irish charm of the staff that dispels any stuffiness or pretentiousness.

Our third time staying here and it really is one of the best hotels in the world. The attention to detail, friendliness, attentiveness, exceptional food and service is incredible and worth that bit extra in cost. You really do just relax and sink into the experience. We will be back!

Relax, recreate, and renew!
My daughter and I stayed at Ashford Castle at the end of the three-week trip. It was an amazing experience with incredible staff. The accommodations were not only luxurious and elegant, but comfortable and soothing. We took advantage of their wonderful restaurants, the elegant spa and services, the Hawk Walk, and private boat ride. I would highly recommend this for traveling families, couples, or individuals in need of a welcoming place to relax, recreate, and renew!

This is one of the finest properties we have ever visited. It is a beautiful castle, but it is also a world class hotel in the most beautiful setting you can imagine. The grounds are large and bikes are available for guests, the fishing on the river and the lake are first rate, and the service is unmatched. We have stayed twice and can't wait to go back again.
