Must have been lovely in its day.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed January 2, 2020

Upon arriving we were a little concerned about the crumbling deck and the state of the ponds at the front reception. First impressions do matter. Do yourself a favour, fix the decks and drain the swamp! Rooms were comfortable and spacious but again the deck at our villa was termite damaged and some of the finishings took away from the overall effect. Place is a fair way away from the town and the roads are pretty poor. Breakfast was good and the staff were lovely. Heard there are new owners - maybe they will inject some funds into some much needed repairs. Reckon they should do happy hour a little later in the day and make sure someone is at the bar when someone turns up for a drink.

We are here with my partner and 9 year old son and my daughter her husband and 4 children. We were booked to stay for 6 nights. After a terrible journey from Bangkok we arrived at dusk to what appeared to be a nice rural retreat. After checking in they told us that we would need to be bused to another hotel for breakfast as the restaurant was closed. We were also told the pool and bar were also closed. Their partner hotel were we are being transferred to doesn’t seem much better. We did get a meal last night but were told there was no beef for the curry. They only had 4 cans of Sprite etc etc. The staff are pleasant but they are covering up the cracks. At the resort we are being transferred to it doesn’t seem great. It is in drastic need of an upgrade.

Old resort to avoid especially when traveling with children

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed September 1, 2019

When I booked the hotel I should have been more careful (especially because I travel with my 2 babies) about the comments related to the old and dirty aspects of the resort because I need this resort needs some real refurbishment !!! A lot of mosquitoes inside and outside, the wooden floor everywhere is old and damaged, very dangerous when you have kids, the ponds all over the resort are green and not clean.... we had the feeling when entering the room (family rooms) that it wasn’t cleaned meaning a lot of dust and found some hair in the bed, no hot water, should I go on? This is just a nightmare when you have young babies like us. The only good aspects of this hotel are the staff (lovely people always available and willing to help...but they cannot replace a good management I guess) and the breakfast. We will never come back unfortunately, we were very scared about swimming in the private pool so ended up staying on one room only with a mosquito plug 😡

Short business stay in a nice pool villa

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed March 19, 2019

Nice place in a quit area of Huahin, in the middle of mountains and nice farming fields. 10 minutes from Black Mountain golf and water park. Place need maintenance, was clean and very friendly staff. On the night of arrival we had a diner with 7 people, everybody ordered another dish. The quality of each different dishes was excellent, Next day breakfast was also very good. Price/quality was accordingly.

Must have been lovely...

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed November 3, 2018

As many other visitors my comment will be to say that it is a pity to see such a nice place without better maintenance. By walking around you can imagine how it used to be or how it could be someone managed it properly. I compared this to a luxury car that you would not take to the shop for maintenance and that you would not wash for years... We enjoyed the private pool and the privacy of the cool rooms. When we were there, it was the season of the fireflies, so lovely. We got a good deal comparing to the double villa we got. Overall a good week end. The staff try to make you feel like in a 5* hotel. I can only imagine what they must hear about the place but they seem to keep smiling. But careful with wooden floor which is dangerous and the bathroom which needs renovation, etc
