Buri Rasa Village Koh Samui in Koh Samui, Thailand
The breezy, open-air cabins and villas of the five-star Buri Rasa Village Koh Samui nestle up to the quiet end of Chaweng Beach, a strip of flour-white sand on the east side of an island that’s an hour plane ride from Bangkok. That means you’ll find tranquility here, amplified by unique local spa treatments and special touches such as complimentary high tea served seaside.
Take a sunrise walk before departing on a boat trip to Ang Thong National Marine Park, an archipelago of 42 islands whose dramatic limestone peaks rise from the sea. Trek through the jungle, spotting langurs, hair-nosed otters and white-bellied sea eagles. Summit the peak of Ko Mae Ko for a view across the whole park – only two of the islands are inhabited, and ancient civilizations of sea gypsies still fish there. Return home for a fresh-caught, lantern-lit dinner.

Reviews for Buri Rasa Village Koh Samui
This was our first visit to Thailand. We could not have picked a better hotel than the Buri Rasa. This is a small luxurary hotel in the heart of Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui. From the moment you arrive at reception you are treated wonderfully. You are met with cold towels and a refreshing drink. Following a few formalities you are escorted to one of the 32 rooms that make up this beautiful, intimate hotel. The rooms are spacious and immaculate. The Buri Rasa gardens lead directly onto the lovely Chaweng Beach. More than anything else it is the hotel staff that makes this hotel so special. With there being only 32 rooms you are immediately recognised each day by a friendly face. I cannot imagine that there is a better hotel to visit on Chaweng Beach. We were there over Valentines Day and enjoyed a wonderful meal on the beach with exceptional food and service. I would highly recommend the Buri Rasa and rate it as one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Best wishes from the 3 D’s and an S.

The Buri Rasa is centrally located on busy Chaweng Beach. Rooms are of a good size, clean, traditional and stylish, in fitting with the design of the hotel grounds. The food and beverages are high quality and varied and it is clear that the management do their best to satisfy a wide range of nationalities staying at this small boutique hotel. The staff are exceptional - welcoming, helpful and friendly - a great example of Thai people at their very best. If you want to stay in Chaweng, the Buri Rasa will take some beating. Whole heartedly recommend.
This resort was recommended by a friend so our expectations were high... Initial impression of the hotel from the outside can be misleading as the front of the hotel looks small and it's along the main road of the busy Chaweng area. But as soon as you go past the entrance, it felt like an oasis separated from the hustle and bustle of the area. And as you walk past the pond, it felt like you're walking thru a quaint village which lived up to the resorts name. We arrived early and had to wait an hour or two but we were rewarded when we got upgraded to a pool villa! Boy the villa was huge! The room was beautifully furnished w/ Thai tradition. Small touches of both modern and classic Thai inspired designs gave that sublime tropical experience that you hope for. Nicely manicured garden with sitting areas, an outdoor daybed and a dip pool all in a private setting, you can't ask for more. Although the pool cover/shade could've been extended further as tenants upstairs can see you in the pool. Room was huge and came with all the facilities/amenities expected from a top resort. Nice touch on the complementary fruit basket, cake and nuts which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you! Beach location was good as you're only few steps from the protected enclosure.Good for the kids. Buffet breakfast was nice and had such a good variety for a relatively small resort. Kudos to the Thai tea station which I thought was unique. Two minor criticism, the main pool was small and felt like it was put in a rush as it didn't seem to blend in with the surroundings and; I'm an early bird so I like to getup early and walk to the beach. One of the male staff gave me the annoyed look and murmured something when I stepped onto the fresh sand he just swept. But it did not ruin my stay as the rest of the staff were friendly, courteous and nice. Note: The main shopping centre(Central Festival) is a good 15min walk so may not be good for babies/toddlers. Overall our expectations were met and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would consider the Buri Rasa chain when we come back to Thailand.
