Buri Rasa Village Koh Samui in Koh Samui, Thailand

The breezy, open-air cabins and villas of the five-star Buri Rasa Village Koh Samui nestle up to the quiet end of Chaweng Beach, a strip of flour-white sand on the east side of an island that’s an hour plane ride from Bangkok. That means you’ll find tranquility here, amplified by unique local spa treatments and special touches such as complimentary high tea served seaside.

Take a sunrise walk before departing on a boat trip to Ang Thong National Marine Park, an archipelago of 42 islands whose dramatic limestone peaks rise from the sea. Trek through the jungle, spotting langurs, hair-nosed otters and white-bellied sea eagles. Summit the peak of Ko Mae Ko for a view across the whole park – only two of the islands are inhabited, and ancient civilizations of sea gypsies still fish there. Return home for a fresh-caught, lantern-lit dinner.

Excellent hotel, great customer service, walking distance to nightlife and shopping malls. Hotel has its own secluded beach, nice pool area and very well maintained gardens. Good breakfast and fast wifi. Parking also available free of charge.

We have stayed here twice, enjoyed it both times, staff are excellent, breakfast is great and i really like the location but there are a few things that would possibly put me off returning. 1. The noise from bedrooms above, our room was on the ground floor and there were rooms above us, if they wake in the bedroom above before you have woken, chances are you will also be woke as you can hear pretty much everything. 2 They set up the restaurant on the beach and if you are on the beach on your bed they ask you to move, a few times we had been there all day and were relaxing as the sun was going down reading a book and were asked to move to make way for the evening meal set up. 3 food in the restaurant is very expensive compared to other places very near by, we generally ate in any of the restaurants along the beach sometimes for half the price. overall i do like the place, i wanted to give it a 'very good' but for these reasons i couldn't

Without a doubt...we've been charmed since the first moment after entering the resort. We were charmed by both, the staffs' warm welcome and their extraordinary good manners at the reception. The personnel giving its best to make the guests feel as comfortable as possible - in particular Ms.Sao :-) The best way to describe the feelings we had during our stay ist the following: We didn't feel beeing treated like "ordinary hotel guests in any random hotel" - moreover we felt like beeing part of a little family - it really was a dream! We were charmed by the entire wonderful hotel resort surrounded by nature and plants with its nicely equipped Thai-style bungalows including an ocean view dinning area wich was a true oasis of calm for us. Incredibly beautiful. We were charmed by the ocean wich was shimmering in turquoise colors and the fine sand at the clean beach wich is situated directly next to the resort - by the way it's the most beautiful stretch at Chawengbeach. The location of Buri Rasa is perfect too. Inside the resort you don't notice anything of the alive city of Chaweng. On the one hand you can enjoy the silence, on the other hand plenty of shops and restaurants are within a walking distance. We spent 10 incredibly beautiful and unforgettable days in one of the upper bungalows with a small, covered outside area, a great and comfortable bed, a nice bathroom wich was equipped with a traditional open Thai-shower beside a regular rainwater shower. Everything was furnished in a tender and elegant style. It's impossible not to feel comfortable there. The roomservie was perfectly neat and clean and in the evenings we were always asked for our well-being before the room was made ready for the night. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of different foods, wich was beautiful arranged and presented. Everything tasted deliciously - we can especially recommend the Thai-coffee...very tasty! Everyday started with a smile on the faces of the very obliging resort staff - and because of them we also woke up and went to bed with a smile on our faces during our 10 day stay. Thank you so much Buri Rasa Village (Team) - our dreams came true! Kop Khun ka / kap Miriam & Michael

We stayed 5 nights at Buri Rasa, unfortunately we had bad weather but the hotel, the staff hotel, the hotel room, the hotel food, everything was great!! To be honest, the food was so good that we gained weight! They offer happy hours and I must admit their cocktails are very nice! Thank you Buri Rasa! Especially to Bank (waiter). We had the best of stay because of you. Totally recommend this hotel.

The Buri Rasa hotel is a great experience for couples and those wanting to get away much of the noise and crazy of Chaweng, but who still want to be close enough to the action to enjoy the island. I think stay was relaxing and just what the doctor ordered. The crowd is a bit older and more mature as compared with resorts closer to the bars; this gives the hotel a better environment to enjoy, IMO.
