Phum Baitang in Krong Siem Reap, Cambodia

Designed to give the feel of an authentic Khmer village in rural surroundings – it does just that. Enormous care has been taken in its construction, and the interiors have same theme of rural simplicity. A little pot of bright green rice shoots decorate the tables, and shutters are made with woven banana leaves. Within the resort lie two restaurants, two bars, a boutique, a 50 meter infinity pool and a spa.

Enjoy the comfort of your own villa while admiring the lush jungle from your terrace. Explore the ancient temple of Angkor Wat during the day and take a cigar in lounge in the lazy afternoon. You can also spend a day in the tranquility of the spa or practice meditation in the yoga pavilion. In the evening, the Bay Phsar’s restaurant will serve you local flavors with sublime Khmer noodle dishes in a street food set up.

This place is well balanced - in harmony - you notice that every detail counts. First there are the wooden villas form a village-like cluster inspired by traditional design combined with a touch of luxury and are in perfect harmony... the choice of material, the colours, the smell of the soap, even the cows on the property... The amazing ancient farmhouse on the property has been converted into a great lounge, reminiscent of Cambodia’s golden days. Thé place to have a cocktail and dream away in ancient time having visited the magnificent temples of Angkor, the wonders of an ancient culture. So whether you’re looking for an authentic Cambodian experience or just a relaxing stay in the area that feels like a home away from home in Cambodia, this green village has it all. But last but not least the service is excellent and makes the hotel a top 5 stars hotel. From Front office people, to the service in the bar and restaurant, the gardeners, the housekeeping team - are all very friendly, helpful, respectful. Congratulations for an impeccable experience - we will certainly be back and recommend this amazing magical hotel to friends and family.

Great room, we stayed in the pool villa. The room was large, clean and great to have a big bathroom with two basins! Service was great, Breakfast wasn’t large but you can order your own eggs or omelette. Large pool is 50 metres, resort is close to tow. Spa was also good. No complaints here!

Beautiful and peaceful resort Very well maintain Rooms are just simple but perfect Room service very efficient in a timely manner Staffs in restaurants and bar super friendly , smiley and helpful. Just what you need if you look for few quiet days in siem reap One note to the hotel: the only thing that was not up to your standards is the front desk. While we found in general the level of service of the team extremly good , one single staff lower down our impression on your resort. The foreign lady Camille at the front desk at repeatitive times ,despite not being very friendly, was just not really helpfull.

We stayed at at Phumbaitang on July. I never experienced a resort so well kept and looked after. Our room was amazing with private swimming pool. All staff were wonderful and the service they give. Right from the time we arrived and They were very helpful and polite. Food at breakfast is excellent. I would 100% stay again and recommend to others.

I traveled solo and stayed here for 2 nights. Wanted some peace and quiet to think some things through. Phum Bintang was everything I imagined - luxury but subtle and unpretentious. I had a very peaceful stay and felt rejuvenated and well rested. Expect to be welcomed by truly top notch hospitality - Attentive, personal but nothing invasive. Let me put it this way, it was pricey but I felt it was worth every single penny. This place is faultless and I can't wait to come back again. Their spa is also the best I've ever had. I originally went for only one treatment. I thought it was so awesome so I did myself good and went for 3 treatments after learning I'll get 30% off. I loved every single moment of my 5.5 hour treatment. I sound a bit nuts raving about PB like this. To put things in perspective, I travel extensively and have stayed at top tier hotels in the ranks of Shangri La (Kerry Center in Shanghai), Four Seasons (Kona, Hawaii), Intercon (Hanoi), the South Place in London and Grand Hyatt (Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Taipei), to name a few. PB is by far my favorite hotel ever. It hits every single spot and I am confident to say this place is faultless and you should treat yourself by bringing yourself there if you can.
