About the Hotel

Stranded on island oasis with ocean swells that rise with the tide, Alila Villas Hadahaa is a rapturous Maldives retreat situated in the North Huvadhoo Atoll. The visionaries of this eco-friendly resort raised the bar by preserving the surrounding vegetation, using natural timber and leaving as little environmental footprint as possible - making Alila Villas Hadahaa the first Maldivian resort to comply with the Green Globe standards. When it comes to the 50 exquisite villas, the lines are blurred between interiors and exteriors by uniting the two in design, with the ocean lapping up to the edge of your private deck. Additional appointments such as private pools, living areas and personal gardens complete the picture.

Reviews for Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa

Fell short of expectations for Park Hyatt and the Maldives

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

The beginning of our trip was not enjoyable after we were given the worst room in the resort, facing the boat dock and next to a family with small, loud children. Our host Shahum was great and made arrangements right away once I told him of my displeasure. The next room was not great, but it wasn't next to loud children so we took that as a win. The rooms are very close together and don't afford much privacy. Never having gone to the Maldives I pictured seclusion, privacy and romance in the middle of the Indian Ocean. A honeymoon destination. This resort was not that. Instead it was full of family's and there was very little privacy due to the design, layout and density of the villas to maximize profit. The second half of our trip improved solely due to the fantastic staff on the island. The F&B director Fernando along with the F&B manager Kartikeya got to know my wife and I better as they were very active with all the guests. They listened to my feedback about the lack of local cuisine and seafood offered on property and prepared us some local reef fish sashimi for lunch and a Maldivian spiced reef fish for dinner which we very much enjoyed. Avnish at the bar had some creative and delicious cocktails for us. The "Magic Man" Ashra was engaging and entertaining as a server. Suneli and Tsiosela always greeted us with a warm smile and were very attentive in the dining room. Chef Sandeep prepared two Indian dinners for us that were delicious and a welcome change from an otherwise limited menu. On a side note the food prices were astronomical. It was a running joke when speaking to family back home about the $62 salads and $43 pizza's we had for lunch. I understand everything has to be imported but those prices were very off putting and lead to the expectation that every bite of whatever dish you ordered had to be the greatest of all time to live up to the price tag. Which sadly it was not. All in all the second half of our stay was resurrected because of the staff we just mentioned. Sadly that will not be enough for us to return because of the travel, cost, condition and layout of the resort.

Recent Stay at the Park Hyatt in the Maldives!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

My experience here was absolutely incredible! The staff were very kind, helpful, and always willing to engage in conversation! It was truly beautiful and there is not one singular complaint I am able to express! Our host, Akarm, was amazing and offered to assist my family and I with any concerns or issues throughout the duration of our stay. I hope one day to return again and experience the amazing aspects of this resort! Thank you! 🫶

Nothing Short of Paradise

Absolutely phenomenal experience. The reef at the resort is one of a kind, with beautiful and diverse wildlife so easily accessible. We stayed in an Overwater villa, and you could just climb down a ladder into the reef - how good! What really took this stay to another level was the staff at the resort. Akram made all of our stay very simple and easy, even bringing us some aloe vera when we got burnt. Kartik, the food and drinks manager at the Island Grill really looked after us, and made sure we got the best of what was already great food and wine. Hamzan who served us many times was so kind and great to talk to, and gave us nice personal touches. It is definitely worth the extra travel time to reach this resort - it was truly one of a kind.

Incredible location and service

We really enjoy our overwater villa with the natural reef at our doorstep. It was incredible to feel apart of the natural surrounds and see so much wildlife from in and out of the water. including turtles, colorful fish and a number of different rays. We were so fortunately to have been looked after so well by the staff at the Park Hyatt which go out of their way to make your holiday wonderful. They couldn't do enough for us. A holiday to remember

Perfection for wedding and honeymoon!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The staff at Park Hyatt Hadahaa went above and beyond for our wedding and honeymoon. They put in the effort to get to know us before the event and surprised us with personal touches in the ceremony that blew us away. We never dreamed we would see a pod of dolphins right outside our villa as we got ready for our wedding! The scenery cannot be beat. Everything was easy and well thought out. It was perfect and relaxed. The chef and food/bev director worked with us to create a custom dream menu for the after wedding 7 course meal on the beach. In fact, Chef Sandeep surprised us with food that was not on the menu almost everyday. It was beyond delicious and so thoughtful. We were there for 16 days and the food never got old. The staff pampered us and knew exactly what we needed or wanted even before we knew what we wanted or needed. Our host (called butler at other resorts), Monika, blew our socks off with her dedication to us and her level of hospitality and service. She would respond to any need within minutes - we felt like royalty. We had a few medical issues pop up and Dr. Santosh was incredibly quick to help, very skilled and knowledgeable, and checked back in to ensure we were okay. The healthcare was free of charge and Dr. Santosh far exceeded any expectations we had of a resort doctor. The dive shop was another highlight of the trip - we did multiple scuba certifications through Blue Journeys. Everyone at the shop (especially Ali) and on the dive boat was helpful, calming, a great teacher, service oriented, and had safety top of mind. The reefs are still healthy and alive around the island and islands nearby so it was incredibly special to witness life thriving there (so many reefs around other parts of the Maldives have lost their colors and life). I saw something magical on every dive (turtles, rays, sharks, dolphins, eels, huge schools of fish, and much more!). I highly recommend staying at Park Hyatt Hadahaa and diving with Blue Journeys! We could not have asked for anything more spectacular.
