Banyan Tree Phuket

We had a wonderful holiday at Banyan Tree, Phuket. The villa was great and the whole resort just gave us a wonderful sense of relaxation and harmony. All the staff were keen to help make sure we had a fantastic experience. We would especially like to thank Pui,Jasmine and Jinny at the front desk and Niwat from F and B, for making our stay truly memorable. We hope to return next year for a longer stay.

Our stay at Banyan Tree Phuket was exceptional in every respect. This was our third visit, having first stayed here in 2012, and we keep returning for a reason. Over the years, Banyan Tree Phuket has continued to deliver that rare combination of beautiful surroundings, gracious hospitality, outstanding dining, impeccable service and genuine warmth that makes it such a special place. From the moment we arrived, everything was faultless. We stayed in one of the DoublePool Villas, which was truly magnificent. The villa offered an exceptional sense of space, privacy and tranquillity, with a beautiful private pool and spa that became one of the highlights of our stay. Everything was immaculately maintained and presented, and the standards of cleanliness throughout both our villa and the wider resort were impeccable. The atmosphere at Banyan Tree Phuket is wonderfully peaceful and refined. Set within the beautiful Laguna Phuket area, the resort feels secluded and serene, while still being conveniently located for exploring the surrounding area. The mature tropical gardens, lagoons and beautifully maintained grounds create a genuine sense of escape. What distinguishes Banyan Tree Phuket, however, is not simply the quality of its facilities, but the remarkable thoughtfulness and attention to detail that accompany the entire experience. There were so many lovely personal touches throughout our stay. Returning to find a beautiful bath prepared with rose petals was particularly special. Refreshing cold towels were thoughtfully provided at just the right moments—a simple gesture perhaps, but one that is so welcome in the tropical climate and indicative of the care and attention shown throughout the resort. Flowers were also beautifully arranged for our final breakfast, which was an incredibly thoughtful and memorable way to conclude our stay. Breakfast was consistently outstanding. Most mornings we enjoyed breakfast at Watercourt, where the extensive full buffet offered an excellent variety of beautifully presented, high-quality food. The choice was exceptional, catering to every taste, and the service each morning was faultless—warm, attentive and remarkably consistent. On one morning, we also had the pleasure of having breakfast at Tré, which provided a lovely change of setting. The peaceful surroundings, beautiful ambience and attentive service made it another memorable dining experience. A very special mention must go to Niwat, who went out of his way every morning to arrange a special noodle soup for my wife, who is vegetarian. It was such a thoughtful and personal gesture, and something she genuinely looked forward to each morning. She is forever grateful for his kindness and for the care he took to make her breakfasts special. It is precisely this type of personal attention that sets Banyan Tree apart. Our dinner at Saffron was another highlight of our stay. The food was exceptional, the ambience elegant yet warm, and the lovely live music added something particularly special to the evening, creating a wonderful atmosphere without ever overpowering the experience. The service was attentive, friendly and perfectly judged. It was a truly memorable evening and everything one could hope for from a fine dining experience at a resort of this calibre. Room service was also excellent, both in the quality and presentation of the food and in the prompt, courteous and friendly service. We enjoyed a spa treatment during our stay and, without exaggeration, the massages were among the very best we have ever experienced. The entire spa experience was exceptional—from the serene surroundings and peaceful atmosphere to the professionalism, warmth and extraordinary skill of the therapists. It was a genuine highlight of our holiday. We also spent time at the golf course and were equally impressed by the service there. The staff were welcoming, professional and attentive, and the caddy ladies were wonderful—friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and an absolute pleasure to spend the round with. Once again, it was the warmth and personality of the people that made the experience so memorable. Above everything else, however, it is the people who make Banyan Tree Phuket truly exceptional. We would like to give a heartfelt special mention to Tino, Monica, Jakub, Ado, Jeab, Lucky, Jinny, Sittichai, Shane, Herb and Niwat, together with all the many other wonderful members of the Banyan Tree team whose names we may not know, but whose kindness and hospitality contributed so greatly to our holiday. Every interaction was characterised by warmth, courtesy, professionalism and a genuine desire to make us feel welcome and cared for. Nothing ever felt forced or transactional. There is a sincerity to the hospitality here that is increasingly rare and very difficult to replicate. One of the things we love most about visiting Thailand is the extraordinary warmth and graciousness of the Thai people, and nowhere is that better exemplified than at Banyan Tree Phuket. The kindness of the staff, their generosity of spirit and the pride they take in looking after their guests are what elevate an already exceptional resort into something truly memorable. Having first visited in 2012 and now returning for our third stay, it says a great deal that Banyan Tree Phuket continues to leave such a strong impression on us. There are many beautiful hotels and resorts in the world, but very few places create the sense of warmth, familiarity and genuine attachment that makes you want to return time and again. We genuinely could not fault anything about our stay. Banyan Tree Phuket combines a superb location, tranquil atmosphere, magnificent villas, outstanding food, world-class spa and leisure facilities, immaculate cleanliness and impeccable service. Yet, for all of these wonderful qualities, its greatest asset will always be its people. We leave once again with wonderful memories and enormous gratitude to everyone who made our stay so special. This was our third visit, and it certainly will not be our last. We keep returning for a reason, and we cannot wait to come back again soon!

We had a wonderful dining experience at Saffron, thanks to Bee. She was incredibly warm, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. Her friendly personality, excellent recommendations, and attention to detail made us feel genuinely welcome and well looked after.

Our family of five had the most wonderful stay at Banyan Tree, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we felt so well looked after. Our spacious two bedroom villa was absolutely stunning. Having a full-sized private pool and spa was such a luxury, and both were the perfect temperature. The villa pool water and outdoor area was checked/maintained daily to ensure it was always immaculate. The housekeeping team did an exceptional job throughout our stay, keeping everything spotless with a smile always on their faces. The complimentary bikes were great. They made getting around the expansive resort so easy, and our kids absolutely loved riding around and exploring the beautiful grounds. The resort itself is incredibly well maintained, with lush gardens and pristine facilities that are a credit to the hardworking staff. We spent several days relaxing by the main pool, where we received outstanding service every day. A very special thank you to O and his fantastic team—Bus, Men, Namo, Ple and Poo—who consistently went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. On our very first day, we accidentally left a hat by the pool, and before we had even realised it was missing, O had already arranged for it to be returned to us. Our water glasses were never empty, and we enjoyed a delicious lunch by the pool each day. Although we visited during monsoon season, we were incredibly fortunate with the weather. We only experienced one full day of rain, which gave us the perfect opportunity to visit an elephant sanctuary and enjoy a round of golf. The resort also offered a fantastic range of complimentary activities. We participated in the water aerobics and lotus flower folding, while our children absolutely loved the Muay Thai class with Sun (this was an extra cost). It was one of the highlights of their trip, and we would highly recommend it to families. Banyan Tree truly offers the perfect balance of luxury, relaxation and warm hospitality. Every member of staff made us feel welcome, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about ensuring guests had an exceptional experience. We left with wonderful memories and are already hoping to return sooner rather than later.
