Banyan Tree Phuket

This is specifically about the Italian restaurant TRE at the Banyan Tree Phuket. Overlooking part of the laguna, the space was completely transformed from where an a la carte breakfast was served into an elegant dining space. We were offered mosquito repellent immediately upon seating followed by water service. Home made foccacia was olive oil rich with a crisp crust. Starters of bolognese arancini and deep fried artichoke (the latter resembling little lamb cutlets delicately flavoured with just the right amount of olive oil, garlic and lemon) simply delicious. The fettucine carbonara featured freshly made home made pasta with confit egg yolk topped with freshly grated truffle was possibly one of the best interpretations of this dish (outside of Italy!) ever eaten. A "special" of lobster cannelloni was a real game changer; delicate, sweet and moreish. Service from LookSorn and Putt was quite excellent with the frequent interaction from Executive Chef Herb enhancing the experience. A real five star experience.

Rooms and pool from villa look great however you can hear people next door talking while you are in your main bedroom. Never experienced such thing from hotel of such standards…. Because sleep is so important, i only give one point. In addition food quality at breakfast is ok, not great as in other hotels.

I had the good fortune of having a 90 min spa and massage experience with Cookie, at the Banyan Tree Phuket. This was without doubt the best massage experience I’ve ever had in my adult life! The environment, dedicated tropical treatment rooms, the meditation pre and post massage, the car and attention given through all stages of the spa and massage ritual was second to none! Cookie’s magic hands ensured I received the full benefits of the massage. The training received from Cookie and the rest of the team at Banyan Tree Phuket on their onsite academy is clear. A thoroughly enjoyable experience which I would have no hesitation in recommending.

It was great experience for my wife and I to disconnect completely we stayed at the Spa Pool Villa and our hosts Kolick and PK were the best! Very kind , attentive and made the whole experience memorable considering it was a first visit !
