Banyan Tree Phuket

We stayed in a 3 bedroom Double Pool Villa for 6 nights and had the best time. Our personal butler, BEST, was truly the best. He was attentive, helpful and responsive. The hotel is well maintained despite being the 1st of the franchise. The grounds are big and we enjoyed cycling to and from activities, restaurants and the golf club. The food was excellent at all the restaurants we patronised and the in-room villa BBQ was incredible with fresh ingredients. We also really enjoyed our Thai cooking class. Whilst the hotel offers a free session, we had paid for the private one as there were 6 of us and it was worth it. We also did the Banyan Signature at the Spa and that was amazing. We have done many treatments and this was one of the better ones. The staff at Banyan Tree Phuket were not only professional, but they also go the extra mile and wore such genuine smiles and gave such care, it made the experience truly special. Highly recommend! Great for couples and families.

This was our fourth or fifth stay at Banyan Tree Phuket, although our first visit since 2016. We already had very fond memories of the resort, but were genuinely impressed by how much it has improved over the years. Originally opened in 1994, this is the original Banyan Tree resort and, for us, still the best. It has a sense of maturity and character that is difficult to replicate, while the recent improvements have kept it feeling fresh and relevant. We stayed in a Double Pool Villa, which was an excellent choice when travelling with our teenage daughter. There was plenty of space for everyone, both indoors and outside, and the villa gave us exactly the privacy and comfort we were looking for. In fact, we spent much more time there than we expected, enjoying the private pool and the beautiful, peaceful panorama across the lagoon. The location of the villa was also very convenient. The Italian restaurant was only a short walk away, and we also enjoyed dining at the Golf Club. The menu there was surprisingly diverse, with everything from excellent Thai curries to Western dishes, so there was always something to suit everyone. What really stood out, however, was the service. Throughout our stay, the team were warm, attentive and professional without ever being intrusive. It is clear that Banyan Tree Phuket continues to take great pride in looking after its guests. After so many years, it was wonderful to return and discover that a place we remembered so fondly had actually become even better. We loved our stay and will certainly be back. The original Banyan Tree and, in our opinion, still the best.

Is there actually anyone working in the reservation department? I called the hotel four times regarding my reservation, and every single time the operator or front office team transferred my call to the reservation department. However, I was left waiting for a very long time without anyone answering the call. It is extremely frustrating to keep calling, being transferred, and then waiting endlessly without being able to speak to anyone from the reservation team. I understand that hotels can be busy, but this level of communication is simply not acceptable. If a guest is trying to make or manage a reservation, there should at least be someone available to answer the reservation line or provide proper assistance. I hope the hotel management takes this seriously and improves the communication between the front office and reservation team. Good customer service should start from the very first interaction, even before a guest arrives at the hotel.

The staff were very patient, attentive, and professional throughout the experience. They paid close attention to my preferences, and the pressure was just right, making the treatment very comfortable and relaxing. I especially appreciated their attention to detail and thoughtful service. One area that could be improved is the soundproofing between the treatment rooms. Sounds from staff preparing the neighboring rooms could be heard quite clearly at times, which slightly affected the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Better sound insulation would make the overall spa experience even more relaxing and enjoyable.

Amazing experience as always. Guitar was my therapist for a massage and she offered a 5 star experience. First time back to The Banyan Tree in over 10 years and still the same tranquil spa with very experienced therapists.
