Reviews for Banyan Tree Phuket
This year was our 5th time at Banyan (I honestly can't keep count now)- every year we stay for 10 or more days and every year it becomes more like home to us. My 3 boys (now 4yrs, 6yrs and 9yrs) have practically come to know the fantastic staff here like they are relatives! We had the 2 bedrm deluxe villa (as the study can be converted to another spare bed - which we used for my eldest)! For more details on the villa - see previous reviews. The last few years the resort has been upgrading... i have seen them upgrading different parts as time has come along. Even the Villa Dining menu has been upgraded and the pool bar, and their cocktail list has improved! From day one of our stay - we were spoilt like rockstars! If you have stayed with them before, they'll take measures to make you feel even more special on your return stays - because that's just in their nature... kind and friendly and very welcoming! Even if you haven't stayed prior - the overwhelming welcome you get is amazing.. they are so obliging in many ways, and always with a smile! The new thing Banyan are doing for children which didn't happen our previous stays - they're giving little blue Banyan Backpacks for the kiddies - to keep them occupied and happy with activities! They pool has been stocked up with a tonne of pool toys and inflatables which is a bonus!! This is definitely an improvement from last year, as they did not have as much as they do now! Pool bar has been given a makeover (revamp) as has the gym! The staff.... the staff.... Oh my gosh... One thing I have to say is that every single one that crosses your path are the nicest ppl ever! The best staff belong to the Pool Bar and Pool! Of course I'm going to say that as that's where we lived our entire stay! They were so cool that we didn't swim in our own villa pool because we were so happy with them! Superstars - Mussi, Tiffy and SomCha! They are so super cool! Always attentive to every need and they remember whatever my husband or kids love to drink and eat! Spoilt us to death! I found myself chatting to all staff - including massage therapist - Lita who is training the newer staff now - she remembered me from last year - and I can say she was one of the best massage therapists! Banyan trained her to become a master therapist and I can say that they have someone really special. We cannot thank the staff there enough! A special thank you to Pui from the pool staff , Pramort, Yuth, Deed, Kob and of course Chef Maud who looked after us at our dinner at Watercourt!! Nok the buggy driver is a fantastic asset to this place! The resort is fantastic, and the renovations and upgrades to facilities have been noticed by us - but it really is the staff that make us come back again and again! Can't recommend this resort enough.... truly great!

I love this hotel because the villas are beautiful and good value. We stayed in a two bed signature villa and its one of the nicest places we¬īve stayed. Its spacious with its own den, kitchen, jacuzzi, out-door rain showers, massage area and beautiful bathrooms. Its the little touches that make this hotel shine. This is our second stay and the hotel recognised this by leaving a special gift and embroidered ¬®welcome back¬®pillow! The staff welcome us by name and the service is perfection what ever you need. Cycling to breakfast is a hi-light for my daughter and the little gifts left at turn down service. This hotel makes you want to come back again and again. I love it!

The worst thing about this hotel was having to come home! We arrived in the afternoon for a 3 night stay and the hotel was full so we had a short wait for the room, however, the ladies at reception kept us informed all the way and we were able to enjoy a lovely cocktail in the lobby lounge. We checked into a pool villa, which was a dream! I loved the bathroom, huge bed and of course our private outside area, complete with a our mini bird safari going on in the trees. Our room was kept sparklingly clean and this was done whilst at breakfast or when out at night for the turn down service so it didn't intrude on our time in the villa. The hotel grounds are lovely, with an amazing pool area with swim up bar and the usual attentive pool service. Breakfast was a feast and definitely one of the best hotel breakfasts that I have experienced. It did get very busy but that's the same with any hotel. I think it showed how well the place is run as the hotel was full but they still managed to keep us very happy and looked after. We had one meal in the Japanese restaurant (the Kobe beef is expensive but to die for!) and again their service was attentive but not overbearing. The food and drinks prices are on the high side (£6 for a beer, £10-15 for a cocktail) but again normal for a hotel of this standard. However, they were the best cocktails and meal of our holiday, well worth it! The hotel actually has a lot more around it than you would think. It is part of the Laguna complex and you can reach the other areas with the shuttle buses/boats that run around. Also the beach is stunning but to the left on the beach, you can walk up to Bangtao Village (about 2kilometres) and on the way there are loads of little beach side restaurants. We also got a taxi one night to the entrance of the Laguna complex (200 baht) and there is a smallish town with some good restaurants/shops and a few bars. We also got a taxi to Bangtao Village one night which was 300baht and took 15 minutes. Again, little restaurants and shops. We didn't want to leave, felt thoroughly pampered and would come back in a heartbeat!!

Had the pleasure of staying there for 5 nights with 2 friends in 2 bedroom pool villa , and it was genuinely a great experience, the staff the people , the resort was top class and we were made to feel most welcome in every possible way. From the resort bike rides to the golf to the food the service and the quality of the overall experience, I can highly recommend. The local beach bars and indeed the location was great ,

Spent 4 nights at the signature pool villa, and found that hotel staff were very attentive to details. Breakfast buffet was of high quality and very delicious! We certainly enjoyed the relaxing and comfy stay at the resort. However, more regular house maintenance was required as we came across 1) water leakage from the roof, 2) shutdown of mirror light in the bathroom; 3) falling-apart-tiles at the bottom of swimming pool; 4) slippy and muddy staircases to the kayaking site.
