We have just returned from Banyan Tree after two wonderful weeks Our pool villa was superb , to be able to swim before breakfast in total privacy was a new experience for me , certainly got the days off to a good start . The villa was cleaned immaculately every day as were the gardens . Breakfast was excellent with everything we could expect to eat , although we did not have young children with us , the kids breakfast station made me smile , and was very popular with the young guests . Ok evening meals are a little expensive , we ate out in the town on a few occasions for a change of scene too .The expense of eating in might affect the hotel soon as there are some good restaurants in the town at half the prices ! We have stayed at many first class hotels over the years and Banyan Tree is up there with the best . Chinese New Year dinner was very good and the hotel was really well decorated for the event . The hotel management were to be seen around regularly , ensuring that all was going according to plan and guests were made to feel welcome . The acid test is would we return ? and it is a big YES from us ! Well done to the staff and management of the Banyan Tree . Chris and Carole Shaw

We spent 10 days at a signature pool villa, and had a really relaxing time. The pool is just great, refreshing, and large enough for a decent swim. The restaurants are great. The food, particularly in the Tre (international) and Saffron (Thai) is great, and the staff is very friendly. The villa was very well taken care of, very clean, and there was a little gift every evening. Internet coverage and speed throughout the resort are good. The only drawback were the moskitos in the garden.

This is a very disappointing hotel. The villa s are old fashioned, even a bit shabby. Breakfast is soso, not very tastful food but ok, waiters not very well trained. Beach is beautiful but cushions and towels had beter days. The only thing that is up to date are the prices. I think there are beter places to stay in Phuket .

Arrival : Met at airport by extremely professional hotel representative and taken to perfect car to resort by extremely good driver.Check in by Alex of whom was excellent. Took us to villa in golf cart and showed us around. Villa: Totally amazing with beautiful pool and gardens. Lobby lounge : Excellent food, drinks and service. Breakfast:Wonderful choice, even serve sparkling wine. Service again excellent. Pool Area: Good for lunch, excellent service. Spa: My husband had 90 minute treatment and said it was one of the best he has had. Location: Fabulous beach just across from hotel , found two great beach bars Catch and Dream beach we visited for lunch. Downtown 15 minutes away where there are some amazing restaurants , they will pick you up at hotel and drop you back as part of service. To summarise we travel extensively and our barometer ia always would we return and the answer is Yes definitely.I had to stop my husband tipping as all of the staff were outstanding. This escelates from the General Manager of whom we met at breakfast, he was genuinely interested in how happy we were with everything - our only two negatives were there was building work going on around the pool, they are updating the gym and the price of wine.

at first, I thought this resort is probably tired and old, to my surprise, all facilities are very well kept and our villa is remodeled. We stayed in a 2 bedrooms pool villa, very good size for a family of four, plenty of room for the kids to run around. Very nice section of a private beach, good location within the complex. Oh, their the spa is on the top of their game, a must try. Restaurant within the resort is on the expensive side, almost a rip-off, suggest to dine outside and buy food from the nearby village supermarket and cook in the kitchen.
