Baray Villa We’ve stayed at Sawasdee Village a few times now, but this was our first stay in the Baray Villa. The rooms are duplex, the decor is very impressive, lots of attention to detail. There is a huge bed upstairs, with two foot baths at the end of the bed, not that we used them, the bedroom has a pretty domed gold ceiling, large tv on the wall, large bathroom with an enormous free standing bath tub in the middle, with twin basins, there is a huge double wardrobe in the bathroom area. Downstairs there’s a large lounge with a 2nd tv, plenty of sofa space, the jacuzzi leads off the lounge, with doors that open directly into the private plunge pool area, with 2 loungers on a private balcony, an outdoor shower, there is also a second toilet downstairs. There are 14 villas leading into a pool that is only accessible for villa guests. Overall we were impressed with the villa, however there are a couple of things that could be improved upon, having stayed in the Cabana rooms previously, where the pool bar is manned, the pool bar in the Baray pool isn’t staffed, drinks and food have to be ordered via a phone on the counter, which you might as well order by room service as the bar is sadly looking like it needs some care and attention. There is a great addition of a small gym at Sawasdee, but would love to have a treadmill available. We have to say the staff at this resort are outstanding.

We stayed at the Baray Villas and everything was great. It is a beautiful property centrally situated in the middle of Kata. The rooms were impressive and even more impressive was the staff and service. The breakfast was good and everyone greets you with a big smile. There is also an hourly shuttle service to the Kata beach but you can also do a 10 minute walk to the beach.

This place and the Baray Villa was magical. It was 2 stories and the bedroom was on the second story. The bottom level had a seating area in the living room and also had direct pool acces from the living room which opened doors to the community pool it was the most romantic hotel and room. It was truly Thai authentic. The staff were so nice and the location was great. We rented scooters across the street at Tim Tim’s which I highly recommend. Beautiful place and very safe. The room had a guest bathroom on the bottom floor and a big living room area with tv. The bedroom was up the stairs and had a separate tub and shower and big space. We stayed in the Moon Suite Baray Villa. It was the most incredible experience. Kata was a lovely area. If you have the chance to stay in one of the Baray Villas please do so it will be one of the most memorable experiences.

An amazing stay, the baray villa was what we expected and much more. The beautiful walking pool seemed like a fairytale. Staff was very helpful and always ready to help. Breakfast had a little bit of everything and great coffee. Finally, the general architecture of the hotel and the attention to detail made us feel that we had a luxury stay!
