Staying at the actual hotel, rather than a private villa, is a nightmare. NO HOT WATER IN THE SHOWER. Repeated requests to address this. Lots of promises, no action. Lights in the bathroom flickering on and off, suggesting an electrical issue. Lots of promises, no action. We have been here before, stayed in villas, and it was amazing. The hotel proper is falling apart. It’s completely awful for a ton of money. Never again.

I was fortunate enough to experience the trip of a lifetime with 16 of my friends at Sugar Hill located at The Tryall Club in Montego Bay. First, we were greeted by truly the most amazing staff, people, friends, who eventually felt like family. The estate was the most beautiful place any of us had stayed. All 8 couples had their own bedroom and bathroom and the main areas accommodated our very loud, energetic crew. The place was immaculate in every sense of the word. Onto the beautiful people that helped us make our stay unforgettable.... Marica was our Head of Staff and Chef but most importantly someone who loves what she does and the people she does it with. Her food was incredible, from breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner and dessert. There wasn't anything we weren't raving about! The pumpkin soup, chicken wings, blueberry muffins, coconut rice, pork & jerk chicken just to name a few. Kirk was everywhere you wanted him to be and we ALWAYS wanted him around. His demeanor was so calm and helpful throughout the entire day. Kirk had to make a lot of drink runs for this crew and he always had a smile on his face. Beverly gave the best hugs! She made us laugh and had the best dance moves. She has energy unlike anyone and we thank her for keeping our clothes clean on a daily basis. Lastly, Tash, Bowen and Radcliff who kept the entire estate in pristine condition both inside and out! This was an experience our group will never forget and thank you to the staff at Sugar Hill it will be VERY hard to top this one!

We came for our honeymoon and stayed in Bee Happy! Paulette, our house manager, was the kindest soul who took care of us every day and made this trip truly magical. We had the most relaxing time playing golf, tennis and pickleball and enjoying the beach and pool. On our last night, we had a private dinner on the beach that Kenroy set up for us. It was such a beautiful evening with delicious food! We will be coming back very soon and are already planning our next trip!

The Tryall Club is a magical place. From the warm and inviting Jamaican hospitality to the beauty of the grounds, villas and club house, our trip did not disappoint!

We are only two days back from our weeklong stay in paradise, which goes by the name Villa Lolita. Full disclosure, I am a luxury travel advisor. I am not easy to impress. I visited with my own family of 4, along with our friends, another family of 4. Our experience at Villa Lolita exceeded all expectations. Villa Lolita is a 5 star stay, from start to finish. When we pulled up the drive in our personal golf carts to see the villa, we saw a fresh, impeccably designed and decorated home, embodying a true sense of place. The house staff, who take tremendous pride in their jobs, were all there to welcome our families. Steps from the open air living area is a gorgeous infinity pool, with a view of the sea. It was hard to drag the four teens out of the pool. They simply did not want to leave this beautiful villa. With 5 bedrooms, we all had room to spread out. We ate our dinners out on the patio each night and had cocktails by the pool bar. We were even able to watch March Madness on the outdoor tv. The husbands used the home gym daily, as well as the steam sauna. The kids also enjoyed playing some pool in the billiards room. I enjoyed the indoor/outdoor shower in the Master Michigan Suite. Yes... all without leaving our villa. When we could drag them out of the villa, the boys golfed, did some tubing, swam in the ocean and enjoyed riding around in the golf carts. But, our experience at Villa Lolita was so special thanks to the outstanding staff, led by JJ, the house manager/butler and Marlon, the super talented Chef. Every night we had fresh, cold water at our bedside. Every morning the coffee was brewing before we awoke. We all agreed to be flexible and let Chef Marlon take the reigns with the menu, with our input about food preferences and dietary restrictions. JJ set up a new table scape with each meal. There was no need for any special "kid" meals...because the kids all tried new foods and loved each meal that Marlon made. As Marlon likes to say, "The flavor continues..." Jamaican style beans and collard greens at breakfast became a favorite of my son. Along with eggs, pounds of bacon, fresh baked banana break, pancakes, french toast.... JJ knew I loved Jamaican hot sauce on everything, so the bottle was set before me at every meal. On our last night, we had a birthday celebration for my twins' 15th birthday. We enjoyed lobster surf and turf and they each had their own birthday cakes made by Marlon, one chocolate cake, one carrot cake. All week we peppered JJ with questions about Villa Lolita and Tryall Club. We wanted to learn everything about this special place. I hope we didn't drive him too crazy! We were so sad to leave after a week. We hugged all of the staff goodbye...and we went home with clean laundry...because they wonderfully take care of that too, each day.
