Made famous as a haven for the Brigitte Bardot jet set, St. Tropez remains a beloved holiday destination for discriminating travelers. Offering a little slice of private paradise in this French Riviera playground is The Villa Book, Mas de L'Oumede. This classic 6-bedroom hideaway is tucked into the Parc de lâ€(TM)Oumède, an unspoiled rural area in the hills above famed Pampelonne Beach. With its terra cotta tiled floors, beamed ceilings and antique furnishings, it is a showcase of traditional Provencal style.

Thanks to Audrey and her team for another annual amazing trip. Sandy and her breakfast team did well. Lovely room beautiful gardens and such a warm atmosphere. Our favourite vacation with wonderful restaurants nearby. The hotel restaurants both need work. They should and don't compete with Allan llorca or chibois St Antoine. Uninspired food at high prices. Location is not enough. But what a joy to stay at the hotel!

We traveled from New York City with my husband. This place exceeded our expectations in every possible way! From location to the resort like grounds and accommodations , everything was perfect ! Very warm staff ! We enjoyed every single moment from arrival to departure! Special thanks to Malou at the reception desk. She called me the day before our arrival to find out if we had any special requests and to let us know that they are waiting for us. Upon arrival she upgraded our room to a villa with a private garden! Thank you!!!!

The hotel is now on my list of favorites! The staff knew what we needed before we did. The front desk was very helpful with regards to recommendations and restaurant reservations in town. We had fabulous meals for dinner but we did not get to enjoy breakfast due to time constraints. Our room was kept immaculate and after a long day of walking I so enjoyed a soak in the tub. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and I can only imagine how gorgeous the gardens are in warmer weather. My only quibble was room service food, they replaced an inedible steak promptly with a burger, but that steak should not be served at all if they do not get better quality cuts of beef. I will definitely try to return as our stay was one of the best we had in France!!

We enjoyed our stay here and the setting is gorgeous. The hotel is in a somewhat remote location so we ate here 4 of the 3 nights while were we here. We didn't want to drive on small windy road at night although in retrospect I wish we would have. When we went out for dinner we had really good meals. The food and service in the hotel were very disappointing. One night my red wine was brought in a chilled glass. When I pointed this out, the waiter smiled and nodded. Don't try to order room service on the iPad provided in the room because you will never get your breakfast. Every day I had to go ask for the menu to order room service. Every day we were charged a different amount for the same breakfast! As Americans we are not used to smoking. There is a lot of smoking in this hotel which really ruined our outdoor meals. The people in the room next to us smoked on their terrace so we could not enjoy sitting outside. Turndown people were really nice.

We had an amazing stay !! Everything from the room to the cleaning staff was excellent. The view from our balcony was so amazing it was hard to leave for dinner. Room service is excellent in fact and we dined in room a few times.
