I've been staying at this hotel for the past 10 years now and there's no doubt I will return in the future. I stay in a 2 bedroom villa complete with an amazing huge private pool which is maintained daily. Both villas have recently had new air conditioning units installed along with new oversized king-sized comfortable beds. Housekeeping does an amazing job servicing both villas daily. The buffet breakfast is decent with a selection of both Asian and Western cuisines. Ken and Albert are always on-hand during breakfast to assist with any requests such as local tours or any issues you may have. The front desk (reception) has recently been refurbished and looks incredible! (shout out to Natty and Michelle who are always there and happy to help with almost anything you need). It's disappointing to read many negative reviews about the beach which I believe is beyond the hotel's control. The hotel is located in a quiet area of Caweng - just a 10-minute walk to the bars and clubs and a 10-minute taxi ride from the airport. See you again real soon Briza!

Do not be taken in by good reviews, many recent reviews that I read and booked on the basis of are clearly fake and potentially written by staff. Stayed in a private pool room in March 2024, while the bed was comfortable and the room itself was pleasant, the bathroom smelled foul, and the toilet didn't flush properly. The pool needed a good clean with green slime on tiles and around internal lights. We stayed on a B&B basis, but skipped the last two days breakfast as the food was inedible, most patrons were only eating toast. Tea and coffee left stewing in pots. The hotel is not 'beach side' as advertised on many platforms. The sea comes up to the end of the property but it's not a usable beach area, and access is via a slippery seaweed covered concrete step on one side or a rusty set of steps on the other. The shared pool area has no shade, I never saw anyone using it and the pool bars are not operational. We were booked to stay for 5 nights, we actually left for one of those nights and stayed elsewhere. The staff were mostly pleasant, but one in particular essentially harassed people at breakfast and any time you walked through the property, trying to book you in for 'special' dinners, which were very overpriced noodles and spaghetti bolognese. Can't really make any positive remarks about the hotel.

I was meant to stay ten nights at The Briza Beach Resort but extended for ten more nights. Travelling solo at Resorts can make it a bit difficult to meet people. However, the staff instantly made me feel welcome. They are all friendly and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. I spent most mornings conversing with Albert and Ken, both great people passionate about a positive guest experience and who I can now gladly call friends. The room: I stayed in a balcony room without a pool. The room was large, with a super king-sized bed that was very comfortable. Housekeeping serviced and kept the room clean daily and always provided fresh towels. The air conditioning unit was brand new and worked exceptionally well. The location: The Briza is a close 10-minute walk or 2-minute drive to the main Chaweng Beach area yet is far enough removed from the loud music at night so you can be sure to get a good night's sleep. It is in close proximity to motorcycle rentals, good restaurants and quality massage spas. The Resort has a few areas where it can improve; the main pool could use an upgrade, and my understanding is that upgrades are ongoing to the Resort rooms. As mentioned in other reviews about the beach's cleanliness, the issue of plastic on the beach is not isolated to The Briza; plastic can be seen along the length of the beach. I am already planning my return to Koh Samui and will definitely be staying at The Briza.

I must say, I am extremely appalled and very disappointed in Briza Resort on Chaweng Beach in Koh Samui for their very poor level of service and accountability. They advertise false information on the accommodation they provide. When we tried to cancel a reservation due to dissatisfaction with the cleanliness of their rooms, they gave us a runaround on the refund. One of the associates even suggested that we could leave a bad review and tell other tourists? That’s not cool. Do better, Briza. There are so many gorgeous resorts to stay at, and while we agree on that, you are taking away from the beauty of Koh Samui by treating your clients this way!

Please do not believe the pictures as shown, these are a complete catfish and couldn’t be far from the truth. The hotel service wasn’t good, one towel to share between two of us, room wasn’t cleaned once and no toilet paper. The pool was not usable, it was absolutely filthy and looked like it would give you some kind of disease. The hot tub was also green. The beach area was disgraceful, filled with rusty, broken furniture. I don’t normally write these kind of reviews but our whole experience was ruined and I would hate for a family to book this resort in hope for a great holiday. The whole hotel needs touching up and taken care of.
