Reviews for Il Borro Relais & Chateaux
We were there for a week, 17 to 24 april 2017. It was a perfect stay!!! We stayed in one of the rooms in the ancient little Villa. It is very nice to stay there, the rooms are very confortable and have all the modernities we need, with a delicated decoration. We were very lucky because we had a perfect wheather, sunshining days and very cold at night. In the morning, we had to walk aproximately 200meters from our room to the restaurant to take breakfast, but it was not a problem in a sunshine morning. The restaurant is a little bit far from the reception, but they have transfers to get the guests from here to there, anytime. But, if you have a car, it will be easier, since they have a parking near the restaurant Osteria del Borro. The houses with 3 or 4 bedrooms are very far from the main property and from the old village, so, if you stay there, you will defenetely need to rent a car if you want to take breakfast at the restaurant or go anywhere. They are about 2 or 3 Km far from anything. They have transfers to get the guests in an out, but it takes too long, specially if the hotel is full. Our group stayed half in one of the 3 bedrooms houses, (that they call "Caseta") and half at the old Village. The group that stayed at the "Casseta" did not like the breakfast there. The coffe was cold and, of course, they did not have the same variety that we had in the restaurant breakfast buffett. Our room is called "Poeta" and it is at the first floor, what give us more privacy and we could sleep with the windows opened to take advantage of the fresh air at night. We used to wake up with the song of the birds. Very nice experience!!!

Ferragamo family know how to host customers. Once you join Il Borro you can stay inside for days, the little mediaval town is now "the hotel" and everything is like a fairy tale. Food, activities, pools, wine cellar etc... I'd love that my whole country could be like this place, well preserved and simply perfect!

It's a real experience to stay in a stone house in a small medieval village, under the Tuscany sun, to bike in the vineyards and olive plantation near by. The renovation of Il Borro village was perfectly done maintaining the traditional elements and up-grading to the luxury of our time. Fantastic place, fantastic views! The food was excellent, the staff was very nice, we really taste the Tuscany from another century.

We just spent three days at this fabulous property. Everything is top shelf and the staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The grounds are spectacular. What a terrific setting for long walks. The restaurants were great, particularly for breakfast where the buffet was sensational and the service fantastic. We defintiely plan to return, soon.
