An exceptional stay, outstanding service and a truly special hotel.
We’ve just had an incredible stay at the Viceroy Bali in Ubud, and it genuinely exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is spectacular. The setting overlooking the lush valley is breathtaking, the villas are beautiful, and everything feels peaceful, private and luxurious. But what really sets the Viceroy apart is the people. The level of service throughout our stay was exceptional — warm, personal and genuine without ever feeling forced. A special mention has to go to Patrick, the General Manager. It’s rare to see a General Manager who is so visible, approachable and personally invested in his guests’ experience. Patrick took the time to speak with us, made us feel genuinely welcome and clearly leads his team by example. You can see his attention to detail reflected throughout the entire hotel. We also have to mention Gung, our waiter, who was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, attentive, professional and always seemed to know exactly what we needed before we even had to ask. His personality and genuine warmth made our meals and time at the hotel even more enjoyable. He is a real credit to the Viceroy. There are many beautiful luxury hotels in Bali, but it’s the people who turn a beautiful hotel into somewhere you remember. Patrick, Gung and the whole Viceroy team did exactly that for us. From the stunning surroundings and beautiful accommodation to the food and exceptional service, we couldn’t fault our stay. Viceroy Bali is somewhere we would return to without hesitation and recommend wholeheartedly. A genuine 5-star experience. Lee, Kate, Jack and Sam.

A dream
What a dream! A piece of heaven on earth. Reception: If only I had a garland put on me every time I got somewere, it would make all the difference 😂 From the moment the car door was opened, the warmth was palpable, and I do not mean the weather. Such beautiful smiles sat at reception every day. Always willing to help. No request was too small/big an ask. As first timers in Bali, we had no clue what to do, and were frankly overwhelmed, so much to do so little time, then came Eka to the rescue. He helped us plan it all. We came early, our room was not ready but they still got it ready sooner than expected ...while we waited we went and had a bite to eat at the Cascades! Cas Cades: What lovely staff and food!!! Every single waiter greets you with a smile, amd make an effort to learn your name and your story! Where you are from, what your plans are, it was baeutiful. The food is exceptional. Every morsel, even a salad is made with so much care, you can taste it. I remember Herry, but am embarrassed to admit I forgot the name of the kind waiter who talked to me about my photography and hike on mount Batur. I told him I was new to photography and just trying to get the hang of it and he said 'if you dont try you will never learn! The more you practice the more expert you will become!' He was so sincere, so kind, it was as if I was speaking to family. The aesthetics and atmosphere of the place was top teir. Apertif: We were fortunate enough to have a meal at this fine dining restaurant. I must admit, both Taf and I have never been fans of fine dining- we always found the taste and flavours to be directly proportional to the portions 😂 ...then came Apertif, to redeem fine dining for us! Again, what friendly humans, man this place. Even in it's 'poshness' the people made it such a comfortable, sincere, and non-pretentious atmosphere! The food, dear Lord, full of flavour, and well seasoned, the waiters and waitresses took us carefully through the menu, catered for each dietary requirement and the individualised menu's that you are given to take with you is such a special touch. The 'manager'??, again apologies for not remembering his name, was such a welcoming and lovely soul. The best surprise was we only told Eka and Chess (who drove us around that day) that it was Taf's birthday and they did a little birthday treat for him, candle and all. Made me look really good..as if I planned it. 😂 Akoya Spa: I was so fortunate to be looked after by the gorgeous ladies here. Reena and Widiya were exceptional. Such proffessional spa treatment with a personal touch as well. Each time I walked in feeling very old and crusty, and walked out like I have had a whole system upgrade, and a new body installed. They made me feel so comfortable through each treatment . God bless each of these ladies. The gaurds, grounds men, cleaners and all ancillary staff- I know I only experienced the final product of the hard work and dedication of many other people who continously work in the background. Whoever we saw greeted us with such politeness, the rooms were cleaned twice a day, and every time left with a special something. Loved the evening treats left on the pillows or table. I felt like a child again, being fed, and put to bed each night. We see you all. And we appreciate you. Special shout out to Chess Kehtut: Thank you for driving us around, and teaching is aboit balinese culture and tradition. It was such an eye opener and by the end of each excurtion we felt you were now part of our family. I will now look for a 'Chess' everywere I go, hopefully we find him. 💗 To the owners of the Viceroy: What an epic establishement you have created. Thank you for granting us an opporutnity to revive ourselves. Both Taf and I were working 6months straight and were very burnt out. God bless you. P.S: please give your employees all the bonusus, Christmas, boxing day, and anything you can think of, they really fill the beautiful buildings and scenery with love, life and character As the great Arny once said 'We will be back!'

Amongst the very best!
We have stayed in many top class hotels around the world and our stay at the Viceroy rates among the very best. The rooms, pools and views are incredible as you can see in the pictures, but what you can’t see is the service. You get the impression that the staff genuinely enjoy working there and their manner was so relaxed and welcoming without being intrusive, we felt like family. Thoroughly recommend and we will certainly be booking again when coming back!

One of the best experiences ever
My wife and I stayed at Viceroy for our honeymoon, and although we stayed for 2 nights, we both wished we could have stayed longer! We stayed in one of the villas, which was absolutely beautiful — spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Unfortunately, I developed a very bad sore throat during our stay. The hotel team immediately took care of me, arranged for me to see a doctor, and made sure I was properly checked. Their care and attention really meant a lot to us. On the same day, the hotel also organised an excursion for us to visit the rice fields, a waterfall, and a coffee plantation. Yogi was with us throughout the experience, and he was fantastic. He was extremely friendly, helpful, and made sure we had the best experience possible. Overall, Viceroy made our honeymoon truly special. From the beautiful villa to the exceptional service and genuine care from the staff, everything was wonderful. We would definitely recommend Viceroy and hope to come back for a longer stay next time!

The room was immaculately clean, beautifully designed, and fitted with stylish touches throughout. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the view from the room was simply breathtaking.
