A very special stay in Ubud
We have stayed at some beautiful hotels around the world, and Viceroy Bali really is a very special place. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. What stood out most for us was the staff — genuinely warm, friendly and attentive without ever feeling overdone. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone made us feel incredibly welcome. We stayed in an Elephant Pool Villa and absolutely loved it. The setting overlooking the valley is stunning, the villa was beautiful and having our own pool made it a wonderful place to simply switch off for a few days. We also had dinner at Apéritif and did the seven-course Guided by the Moon menu, which was one of the highlights of our stay and something we would definitely recommend. The location is also perfect for Ubud. You feel completely removed from everything when you are at the resort, surrounded by the jungle and valley, but it is still easy to head into Ubud when you want to explore. A special thank you to Patrick and the entire Viceroy team for looking after Donna and me so well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and left wishing we had a little longer. We would happily return and would have no hesitation recommending Viceroy Bali to anyone looking for somewhere genuinely special in Ubud.

A truly peaceful and beautiful stay
A truly peaceful and beautiful stay at Viceroy Bali. What we loved most about Viceroy is the wonderful traditional Balinese feel of the property. The beautiful stone carvings, lush surroundings and architecture give the resort a real sense of place, rather than feeling like a generic luxury hotel. Our villa had beautiful views and was the perfect place to slow down, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The hospitality and service were also excellent. The staff were warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay, making us feel very well looked after without ever being intrusive. Viceroy is a wonderful choice if you are looking for somewhere peaceful, beautiful and relaxing, with exceptional hospitality and a strong sense of traditional Bali. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Exceptional - A must stay in Ubud
My stay at the Viceroy Bali was the most memorable experience and stay I've ever had. It left such an impression on me how kind and helpful all of the staff was. The service was impeccable and truly made me feel so comfortable during my stay. The room was so beautiful and was well worth it. It was my sister's birthday and they went above and beyond to make us feel special. The food at the Cascades restaurant was so delicious, I still think about it post trip. A special shoutout to Gama - he was the driver who picked us up from the airport and he also was our driver for one of our day tours of the rice terrace and temple. The rice terrace and temple tour was truly an amazing experience, he took us around the whole rice terrace, educated us on the processes and culture, as well as different fruits/flowers/plants and anything along our tour. He really took the time to educate us on Bali and Indonesian culture and I really loved how much I learned from him. Staying here truly felt like 5 star luxury. We spent our first half of the trip in Ubud and the second half in Uluwatu - and my sister and I were constantly discussing how our hotel to Uluwatu could not compare at all to the Viceroy Bali. I will definitely be returning to the Viceroy Bali and I can't way to be back. I highly recommend staying here. Its very close to Ubud center and was very central and made it very easy to get around. 11/10 experience!!

Perfection
Myself and my wife enjoyed 5 wonderful nights at the Viceroy Bali. The hotel is in an exceptional location, close enough to Ubud town for convenience but far enough away to feel truly remote and tranquil. The hotel grounds are immaculate and the views of the valley are stunning whether from the main pool, restaurant or private villa. The villas themselves are luxurious, large and comfortable (and a million times nicer than photographed). The outdoor space including private pool and loungers was a great area to unwind and we spent many hours gazing across the valley and enjoying the property. We enjoyed two meals at Cascades restaurant during our stay, particularly the evening accompanied by traditional Balinese dance. Food was excellent and the menus were expansive and filled with many interesting options. We both looked forward to the breakfast service which was a real highlight with many pastries, juices, smoothies and both eastern and western favourites available. A Balinese massage at the Akoya spa was included with our stay and was a fantastic experience. Of all the hotels many attributes the one that shines above all others is the staff. Everybody is so friendly and welcoming and we felt incredibly well looked after during our stay. Every member of staff went out of their way to make our time at the hotel special. GM Patrick went out of his way to chat with us several times during our stay and it was a real pleasure to meet him and get to know him a little (and hear another Irish accent far from home). We would highly recommend Viceroy Bali without hesitation and hope to visit again in the future.
