An Anniversary Celebration Beyond Our Expectations!
Our stay at Viceroy Bali was simply unforgettable. It was the perfect place to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The location is absolutely stunning, nestled on the edge of a lush tropical valley with breathtaking greenery in every direction. The setting is peaceful, private, and truly captures the beauty of central Bali. One of the highlights was CasCades Restaurant. Perched above the valley, it offers spectacular 180-degree panoramic views that make every meal feel special. Breakfast was exceptional, with an extensive à la carte menu featuring freshly prepared hot dishes, tropical fruits, smoothies, pastries, excellent coffee, and much more. It was easily one of the best hotel breakfasts we have experienced. The service throughout our stay was outstanding. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely welcome. From the reception staff to the restaurant team, spa therapists, and buggy drivers, everyone was warm, personable, and sincerely interested in making our stay memorable. We truly enjoyed our conversations with each of them, and their hospitality made us feel more like valued guests than customers. Our villa was among the finest accommodations we have ever stayed in. It was spacious, filled with natural light from the large patio doors, and beautifully designed with a traditional Balinese thatched roof. The elegant marble flooring, generous bathroom, private pool, and large balcony overlooking the valley created a luxurious yet relaxing atmosphere. Viceroy Bali exceeded our expectations in every way. If you are looking for a luxury resort that combines spectacular scenery, exceptional service, beautiful accommodations, and an unforgettable dining experience, this is the place to stay. We could not have chosen a better place to celebrate such a special milestone, and we are already looking forward to returning to Viceroy Bali.

Fantastic Family stay at Viceroy Bali
Nestled in Bali’s cultural heart of Ubud, Viceroy Bali is a boutique luxury retreat that feels wonderfully secluded while remaining just minutes from the town’s vibrant cafés, galleries and boutiques. Family owned and perched above the breathtaking Petanu River Valley, the resort is renowned for its spectacular jungle setting, warm Balinese hospitality and collection of private pool villas, making it one of the island’s most exclusive escapes. Our stay in The Viceroy Villa was nothing short of exceptional. This expansive two bedroom residence offered everything we could have wished for as a family. Floor to ceiling windows framed uninterrupted views across the lush river valley, while the enormous private swimming pool was a tranquil sanctuary for our family. It’s our second time staying at the decadent villa and after the recent refurbishment it’s more luxurious than ever. Evenings were spent soaking in the jacuzzi or gathering around the outdoor fire pit as the sounds of the rainforest created an atmosphere that felt both peaceful and incredibly luxurious. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered, while our butler ensured every request was handled with genuine warmth and impeccable attention throughout our stay. Beyond the villa, the facilities are equally impressive. We loved relaxing beside the resort’s elegant main infinity pool overlooking the valley, while the fully equipped fitness centre and squash court made it easy to stay active. The award winning Akoya Spa provided one of the highlights of our stay, offering beautifully designed treatment rooms and a tranquil setting that perfectly complements the surrounding nature. Dining was another standout experience. Each morning began with an outstanding à la carte breakfast at Cascades, where beautifully presented dishes were served alongside panoramic jungle views. One evening we enjoyed an unforgettable degustation dinner at Apéritif, the resort’s acclaimed fine dining restaurant, where creative tasting menus paired European techniques with Indonesian flavours in an elegant Art Deco setting. Combining extraordinary accommodation, outstanding dining, exceptional wellness facilities and heartfelt service, Viceroy Bali delivers an experience that feels both intimate and indulgent. It is the perfect choice for travellers seeking refined luxury immersed in the natural beauty of Ubud, and a resort we would happily return to again and again.

Incredible service and hotel at the Viceroy
We stayed at the Viceroy for 7 nights to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. First impressions of the hotel are very impressive. We booked a deluxe terrace room which has been renovated recently. The best feature of the room is the huge heated infinity pool which over looks the valley and jungle. The service at this hotel is impeccable. The food is incredible and always arrives on time and the staff are so attentive. We would like to specially thank Wiaata the hotel driver who took us on all of our excursions. He was so polite and knowledgable and gave us lots of good advice on what to see and when. We had 3 massages each at the spa. My wife’s masseuse, Astee, was amazing and would like to thank her for the treatments. Overall it is a beautiful boutique hotel in a wonderful location to see all of Ubud has to offer. I’m sure we will be back again one day!
