Perfection
Myself and my wife enjoyed 5 wonderful nights at the Viceroy Bali. The hotel is in an exceptional location, close enough to Ubud town for convenience but far enough away to feel truly remote and tranquil. The hotel grounds are immaculate and the views of the valley are stunning whether from the main pool, restaurant or private villa. The villas themselves are luxurious, large and comfortable (and a million times nicer than photographed). The outdoor space including private pool and loungers was a great area to unwind and we spent many hours gazing across the valley and enjoying the property. We enjoyed two meals at Cascades restaurant during our stay, particularly the evening accompanied by traditional Balinese dance. Food was excellent and the menus were expansive and filled with many interesting options. We both looked forward to the breakfast service which was a real highlight with many pastries, juices, smoothies and both eastern and western favourites available. A Balinese massage at the Akoya spa was included with our stay and was a fantastic experience. Of all the hotels many attributes the one that shines above all others is the staff. Everybody is so friendly and welcoming and we felt incredibly well looked after during our stay. Every member of staff went out of their way to make our time at the hotel special. GM Patrick went out of his way to chat with us several times during our stay and it was a real pleasure to meet him and get to know him a little (and hear another Irish accent far from home). We would highly recommend Viceroy Bali without hesitation and hope to visit again in the future.

Comfortable luxury in Ubud
I went Bali for a birthday vacation with my husband and we loved the Viceroy in Ubud. The villas are gorgeous and feel very remote and private despite being very close to each other. We loved our infinity pool with views of the jungle. The shower, soaking tub, and bathroom are very luxurious. The restaurants are also excellent at Viceroy. Cascades has an expansive menu and everything we ordered was great. The breakfast in particular has so many wonderful options, including freshly baked croissant, which was a treat! We celebrated my birthday at Apertif with the nine course tasting menu. It was excellent was comparable to a Michelin star experience in terms of cuisine, atmosphere and service. And finally, it is with service where Viceroy really shines. We felt so taken care of by the staff who all remembered our names and preferences. Everyone was eager to please without being intrusive or patronizing. Our driver from the airport also was our tour-guide for our day exploring the area surrounding Ubud, and he was wonderful explaining so much about the Bali and its culture. Even the GM Patrick took the time to get to know us and we enjoyed getting to know him. We loved Ubud and Viceroy is a hotel I would recommend without hesitation.

A must stay in Ubud
Spent 5 amazing nights for our anniversary at the Viceroy Bali. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The property is meticulously maintained with a quiet / relaxing vibe. Our room was stunning, clean, private, and well appointed. We had a lovely pool villa with drinkable water. The resort provided bottled water and almond cookies that were yummy. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks were delicious. Every morning there were fresh baked goods that were better than some I’ve had in Paris. We also indulged in an exquisite 5 course meal at Aperitif. Centrally located so we could venture out early and come home to relax from the busy streets. Highly recommend staying here!

Luxury indeed with impeccable service.
This hotel won the title of "Best Small Luxury Hotel" in 2024 and I can see why. Its main qualities are the quality of service it offers and the beautiful setting just outside Ubud itself. The accommodation is indeed luxurious and it is worth choosing a Deluxe Villa with a small but more than adequate extremely private infinity pool which faces the forest. Indeed, privacy and location are at the heart of what is offered here and this is offered to all guests whether they are regular guests of high-quality luxury hotels or whether their stay is a special treat (as it was for us as we celebrated our Golden Wedding which occurred a couple of weeks earlier). The service was not at all stuffy but was very attentive and personal and much appreciated, as was the complimentary upgrade. It is, of course, an expensive luxury to stay in a hotel like this but that is justified by the quality it affords the guest. Naturally the quality of breakfast and other meals in the Cascade Restaurant was of a high standard and whilst we didn't take the opportunity to dine at the Michelin mentioned "Aperitif" fine dining restaurant we were able to sample a range of absolutely superb canapes and complimentary cocktails at a couple of invitational events which were a generous and unexpected touch. The culinary skill on show at the Pinstripe Bar on one such occasion was exceptional. A range of activities was provided including a fascinating evening walk led by a hotel member of staff but this hotel is above all an opportunity to experience classical service standards and luxurious accommodation and amenities. Management is attentive and personal and my wife and I were pleased that our special celebration holiday included four days at this beautiful hotel.

Out of this world
Honestly this place is unlike any other we have stayed at. The small family vibe friendly and courteous staff along with amazing restaurants and spa facilities made this a dream 3 days celebrating our 25th anniversary. Nik in Cascades and Ayuni on reception and the shop were exceptional. Thanks to Patrick and his team for a fabulous stay .
