Outstanding 5 Star Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We arrived on Saturday August 15, 2026 for a 6 night stay. The property and staff are amazing! We completely enjoyed our stay and have already booked another visit. This property is clean, well maintained and the staff is incredible. They are completely focused on providing a great vacation experience for their valued guests. The Valet staff and the Shuttle drivers are amazing! We have been to many of the properties in the MVC portfolio and this is our new NUMBER 1!

Ritz-Carlton with completely failed air conditioning

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We stayed at this Ritz-Carlton expecting the basics of a luxury hotel. What we got was a room that never dropped below the outdoor high temperature the entire time we were there. On arrival the room was already as hot as the outside air. We set the thermostat to Max AC and left it there for the full 48 hours. The temperature did not move a single degree. Not during the day and not overnight when the mountain air cooled. We reported the problem to the front desk multiple times. Each time we were told the system was functioning as intended. Their eventual suggestion was that we open the windows and treat the constant roar of the adjacent highway as white noise. We were also informed that little could be done because the building is simply too old. I have stayed in Motel 6s that controlled indoor temperature more reliably than this property. A hotel that cannot cool a room even one degree below the outdoor high has no business calling itself a five-star resort. On actual performance this place is two stars at best. This experience makes it impossible to take seriously any invitation to join the Ritz-Carlton travel club. Handsome furniture and an impressive lobby do not compensate for a room that cannot perform the most basic function of keeping its guests cool. If the building is too old to provide working air conditioning, that is not an excuse. It is a reason the property should not be sold under this brand. Extremely disappointing. Will not return.

THE BEST FAMILY VACATION

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

If I could give the Ritz Club in Vail 10 stars, I would happily do so. From the moment our party of 10 arrived, the service and hospitality was impeccable. We had a 3 BR Villa for our party of 6 adults and 4 children. We had 2 littles who required pack n plays and when we got to the villa, there were 4 little robes and 4 pairs of slippers for the kids and the 2 pack n plays had Ritz bears, a bag of baby products for the bath and the cutest Shhh sign for baby sleeping. Of course the other 2 children wanted bears, so we called down and they happily said they would send up 2 more. Housekeeping came quickly but said they were out of the bears but brought 2 little Ritz kid lions. The pool area was wonderful - never crowded, even on a Saturday and the poolside service from Beth at the lounge was wonderful! She was so friendly and accommodating. Our villa was wonderful and so quiet. Alex and Victor from the valet/bell services were wonderful and Clare and Greyson at the front desk were always ready with a smile to help us with everything. We hated to leave but have such wonderful memories - we can’t wait to come back next summer!

Go Off Season

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

If you don't ski or hike go to this resort off season. We went in May, after ski season, and before hiking season. It was very quiet and restful. The resort is beautiful, the villas are spacious, and the staff is wonderful.

Wish it, dream it, do it.

A trip down memory lane. Great friends, good times, no snow. The village is changing. No red lion, no el sabor and no Los amigos. It’s all about the love. ❤️ Wish it, dream it, do it!
