Amazing! Beautiful. Quiet. Heated private pool. Staff very accommodating. Spa best ever! Balinese. Sandy, Africa and Luz great. Golf cart service fast and delightful! Axel practiced his English and we enjoyed! Steps somewhat difficult and they helped me every time! Even moved us to Villa with only one step! Limited dining but excellent food! Did day trip to Acapulco which staff arranged. Saw cliff divers. Views superb! Take some books and chill. The only problem we encountered was transfer from Aeromexico to American. As we were there not required hour prior to check in (didn’t know!)and there 50 minutes ahead. Car transfers by banyan tree to and from Acapulco airport excellent! Have already booked for next year!

The natural beauty is almost beyond words…only to be rivaled by the spacious, tranquil villa with private pool. The service was excellent in particular our breakfast server Irving and the pool attendant Julio, both of whom were very friendly and eager to please. The food was very good our favorites were the great breakfasts with fresh juice, excellent coffee and fantastic French toast. We had some great seafood dishes too (gotta have the shrimp tacos!). Fantastic massages (I had the Balinese and my partner the deep tissue—both great!). Overall an outstanding stay and truly memorable vacation!

This resort feels like a secret we almost hesitate to share. The villas seem to float off the cliffs, and from our oceanfront villa, the private infinity pool appeared to spill directly into the sea. On more than one morning, we watched whales pass by while sipping coffee in our robes. The sunsets here are not just beautiful, they are mesmerizing and cinematic. Despite the dramatic setting, getting here from New York was surprisingly easy, with a smooth connection through Mexico City. From the local airport, it’s only about a 30-minute drive, and arranging a car through the hotel was effortless, with a well appointed SUV waiting for us. Once we arrived, we never used the carts at all. Exploring the property on foot became part of the experience, with winding pathways and cliffside overlooks. The atmosphere is calm, modern, and deeply luxurious without ever feeling showy. Our days in January were warm, and evenings were never chilly enough to need a sweater, exactly what we were hoping for. The place was so quiet, most of what we heard was nature like waves crashing below the pool. We only noticed other guests during meals, and never from our villa. We spent hours outside on the loungers or in the hammock, quietly listening to the ocean below. Inside the villa, both the bedroom and bathroom were positioned for uninterrupted ocean views. Multiple relaxing lighting modes, blackout curtains, excellent air conditioning, and thoughtful details—candles, incense, fresh fruit—made the space feel indulgent and serene. We enjoyed the incense so much that we picked up a few to take home from the gift shop. Indoor–outdoor living felt completely natural during the day. Based on prior reviews, we came prepared for insects, but in January we barely encountered any, with only minimal bugs outdoors in the evenings if sitting directly under lights. Food and drink were consistently impressive. The coffee, food quality, and presentation easily matched what we expect in New York City. Las Rocas wasn’t open yet during our visit, but it’s already at the top of our list for when we return. We also celebrated a special anniversary spa day, enjoying a couples spa experience. We scheduled private yoga sessions as well, which stood out for the instructor’s professionalism and beautifully paced flow. What truly elevates this resort, though, is the people. Service here is warm, personal, and memorable. Everyone introduced themselves, and over the course of a week we genuinely got to know many of the staff. Oliva, Octavio, Marcela, Paulina, Melissa, Elizabeth, Adolpho, Jennifer, Hugo at breakfast, and Guillermo all played a role in making our stay unforgettable. Management was exceptional, any issue, no matter how small, was addressed quickly and thoughtfully. Celebrating a birthday and our anniversary during the same week felt especially meaningful, thanks to how much care and attention the team put into every detail. No place is perfect, and a few small tweaks would make an already stellar experience even better. Pool music could use more variety, it improved toward the end of our stay, shifting away from Top 40 to a more relaxed, lounge-style soundtrack that fit the setting much better. Streaming options on the TV would be welcome for quiet evenings, especially for English-language content. A bracelet-style room key, rather than a card fob, would also feel like a natural fit here. Still, these are minor notes in an otherwise extraordinary stay based on the setting, privacy, service, and overall experience. We’re already planning our return in January, which says everything.

Thanks for another amazing vacation. This is our first time back since Hurricane Otis, having been here more than 10 times before. It is always AMAZING to be here. Shout out to Luisa from management who always looks after us, Chef Rurik for an amazing special meal, Hugo, Guillermo, and of course Alvaro who took such good care of us at Rocas- a great addition to the Banyan team! Look forward to our 2026 trip already! Read less
