Our stay at the Oberoi Amar Vilas was truly unforgettable. The service was exceptional from start to finish, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. The views of the Taj Mahal from the hotel are simply breathtaking—especially at sunrise and sunset—and the entire property feels calm, luxurious, and beautifully maintained. It was the perfect place to relax after exploring and genuinely felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We also had an unforgettable visit to the Taj Mahal, made even more special by our guide. Sandeep was incredibly knowledgeable and knew exactly where to stand for the best views and photos, making the whole experience seamless and memorable. Highly recommend booking a knowledgeable guide like Sandeep if you’re visiting—you’ll come away understanding so much more than if you went on your own.

Truly Spectacular! The hotel grounds, rooms, restaurants and pool are the best, period. Staff...amazing. The hotel had arranged Sandeep Taj to guide us through the early morning Taj Mahal tour. Wow, he took us to all the great photo locations with the right light before the crowds showed up, no line to enter the Taj, and truly knew his stuff, very informative. AMAZING!

Our stay at The Oberoi Amarvilas Agra was truly exceptional. We stayed for two days, and it was without question the best hotel of our entire India trip. The property itself is stunning, the atmosphere is unique, and the level of service is simply outstanding - attentive, warm, and flawless in every detail. A very special highlight was our visit to the Taj Mahal and nearby sites, guided by the hotel’s historian and photographer, Sandeep. His knowledge of Indian culture, traditions, and the history of the Taj Mahal was remarkable. He could answer every question with depth and clarity, and his insights into yoga and meditation added an unexpected and enriching dimension to the experience. He also showed us hidden spots we would never have discovered on our own.

There are not many hotels that do hospitality as well as the Oberoi Amarvilas… we would highly recommend staying at this outstanding hotel. From the fist class welcome from the attentive staff, to the thoughtful small details (like getting me medicine for my mosquito bites and leaving mosquito replant patches at the table) which made us feel completely at home and well looked after. The dine under the stars experience is a must book if you are travelling for a social occasion like we were, and was an incredible dining experience, worth every penny! They also help book your Taj Mahal trip for you, and they have a wonderful group of tour guides working with them, and we visited with the lovely Kishore who was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen too (he’s travelled to over 50 countries!!) we could not recommend staying here enough.
