The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra

From the moment we arrived, the experience felt exceptional. We were warmly welcomed at the car by Jublee, a charming young lady with the most sincere and caring smile. Nothing felt rehearsed or exaggerated; her warmth was simply genuine. She took the time to welcome us properly and even offered to take photographs for us at the beautiful, immaculate entrance. Stepping into The Oberoi Amarvilas felt like stepping into a dream. There is an immediate sense of being somewhere extraordinary, but what impressed us most was how the team made us feel genuinely special and cared for. A very special mention must go to Miss Suhani, who welcomed us and handled our arrival beautifully. She was professional, articulate, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in us—asking about our journey, our travels and Mauritius, which she knew about. While we chatted naturally with her, the team discreetly took care of the formalities, making check-in effortless and efficient. Suhani has a wonderful ability to combine professionalism with warmth and personality. She made us feel less like guests being “processed” through a check-in and more like people being personally welcomed into a home. That distinction is rare in hospitality. It was also wonderful to see a young woman carrying such responsibility with confidence, grace and competence. Proud to see women in positions of responsibility and excelling in them. Suhani handles her role distinctively, and she deserves special recognition. The greatest reason for my score of 10 is therefore simple: the people. The luxury of Amarvilas is undeniable, but it is the sincerity, attentiveness and humanity of its staff that turn a beautiful hotel into an unforgettable experience.
