The Oberoi Amarvilas, Agra

No words could ever express the emotional feelings of seeing the beautiful Taj Mahal as you enter this amazing property and being able to see it from your bedroom balcony every day will be a memory that will stay with us forever. We chose this hotel after watching the programme about how they train their staff here in the UK and to say the service and experience was beyond our wildest dreams is an understatement, without exception everything about our stay here was superb, from the food, drink, service, pool, gardens and rooms everything was first class and we were made to feel valued guests with nothing being too much trouble for anyone. I honestly cannot pick out one member of staff because everyone went above and beyond to deliver an exceptional service. It is very close to the Taj Mahal with a courtesy buggy taking guests to and from this sensational palace with the romantic history surrounding it. Everywhere is clean with the most beautiful gardens imaginable. The pool area is luxurious and a beautiful place to enjoy some peace and quiet. We had a celebratory dinner served on our balcony to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary overlooking the Taj Mahal and this is a memory that will stay with us forever - thank you to each and every staff member who made our stay so wonderful I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel or visiting again

We had a wonderful stay at The Oberoi Amarvilas. The staff provided exceptional service from the moment we arrived until we departed. The location, specifically proximity to the Taj Maha was unbeatable. Overall a great experience for our family!

Oberoi Agra and our guide Muzi were fantastic. The property is out of a dream. The staff made you feel important and were attentive. We were celebrating my birthday and the hotel had little surprises during our stay. It was very special. Our guide Muzi was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped provide memorable experiences.

Of course, when traveling to India for the first time, one must see the iconic Taj Mahal, and there is no better place to stay than the Oberoi Amarvilas where all the rooms have a view of the monument. We stayed in a 4th floor room with balcony and enjoyed the sublime view with a cocktail as the sun set. We also enjoyed a lovely evening meal at Esphahan and a lavish breakfast at Bellevue following our sunrise visit to the Taj the following day. The hotel is beautiful, the service impressive, and the views really can't be surpassed unless you are at the Taj itself. Our only regret is that we stayed just one night, in hindsight we should have booked a second night in order to appreciate and enjoy all the hotel has to offer but alas, our India itinerary was already 6 weeks long. Next time!
