What's good The view of Taj Mahal and its proximity. Campus is grand, royal and green. What's not good Prices are exorbitant and one need to appreciate the conviniently placed hotel to pay. What to do Better have a coffee in the bar restaurant which has a view of the Taj.

This is by far one of the most magical places you get to go to in your whole life. Amazing view of taj mahal with a traditional yet luxerious hotel. A must must visit when in agra. Cannot be missed. Try to get drinks in terrace or eat at any of their restaurants

We had the pleasure of staying at the Oberoi for 2 nights while winding down our vacation in India, what a treat! We took the train in from Jhansi, which of course was running late, so we ended up checking in around 10:30/11:00 PM. The hotel staff were very friendly, understood we were late and wanted to get us checked in as quickly as possible so we could go and get some food as we had skipped dinner. The offered us drinks upon arrival along with towels to wipe down with, which was much needed at the time. Upon arrival in our rooms we were greeted with a knock on the door and complimentary avocado toast and little finger sandwiches along with some juice to get us through the night, we had an early start the next morning. The rooms were beautiful, clean and we had a gorgeous view of the Taj Mahal. Our room also overlooked the pool area where nightly we were able to sit on the patio and enjoy the evening performance while watching the sunset with the Taj in the background. We even had the opportunity to experience a few visitors of the local Macaque monkeys. One climbed between balconies and started throwing cracker boxes and even the cookie jar off of the balcony that someone had left outside, no one was injured and house keeping came right away to clean it up, it was quite entertaining. One afternoon we were able to go for a dip in the pool, it was heavenly! The water was nice and cool to escape the days heat. The staff set you up with towels, snacks, an umbrella and all the necessities, all you have to do is show up, We ordered 2 drinks which we enjoyed pool side, although the staff didn't come around a second time, we would have stayed longer and for more drinks if they would have! The hotel is very close to the Taj and they will escort you over in a golf cart if asked or if doing a tour. They recommend seeing the Taj right when it opens at 6 AM. We did this, and it was worth it. You have beautiful lighting although crowded. The breakfast buffet at the Oberoi is delicious, it could fill you up for the whole day! With varieties of cuisine from western to traditional Indian they have everyhting you could think of! We also tried the same restaurant for dinner, it was good, had choices of western cuisine and Indian cuisine, but was very pricey for what you get. 4 Entrees', 2 Deserts, 2 bottles of wine and a soft drink cost us over $400 CAD. But we did expect to see higher prices for this hotel. The western food was good, not much different from what I could make at home. They also have a traditional Indian restaurant, unfortunately we were not able to try it as we did not make a reservation and only had 1 night for dinner in the hotel. I would without a doubt recommend the Oberoi to any of my friends and family. We will be back again one day and the Oberoi will be on our list to stay, hopefully for longer! I look forward to also visiting other Oberoi resorts around the world.

We had the most amazing stay here with a great of view of the Taj Mahal. Can definitely recommend the Indian cuisine restaurant. The chef even gave us his recipe for Butter Chicken. The staff couldn't do enough for us.
