It is a nice hotel with nice people and maybe we were tired but this hotel is more for one stop shopping. Rooms with a view, fantastic pool, nice service. The restaurants however should be made more exclusive. I can find these in any hilton as well. Again it is probably the nicest hotel here....

This stunning hotel gets one in the mood for a visit to the Taj Mahal. We have a view of this magnificent building from our room which overlooks manicured gardens and a huge swimming pool with the Taj peeking out from the fog in the distance. The service and ambiance of this Oberoi hotel are second to none. They do it so well!

We stayed in Agra at the Oberoi AmarVilas for one night on January 5th. The hotel was amazing. The staff worked to make us very comfortable and gave us many extra goodies. The weather was not very cooperative.. it was quite foggy until almost 11am, so we couldn't really see the Taj at sunrise, which was a disappointment. The restaurant staff was great.. very helpful, they even packed an assortment of pastries for us for our trip back to Delhi.

The service at this beautiful hotel is first rate and the staff could not be more accommodating. Stunning architecture and beauty abound and the convenience (not to mention view) to the Taj Mahal is wonderful.

This is the best hotel I have stayed in. The brochure description made it sound wonderful, with the Taj Mahal visible from every room. Being cynical, I wondered if I would need to stand on a chair and lean out the window, as in some UK ‘seaview’ hotels, but I was blown away by the clear view from the room and from the balcony outside. The service is mesmerizingly good with someone always available to help you in any way you wish. What’s more, this is service not just with a smile but with a genuine wish to not just satisfy you but to exceed your expectation. As just one example (and we experienced several), we checked in and needed to grab something to eat quickly because we were being picked up by our guide at a fixed time. We explained the problem but there was nothing on the menu hat could be prepared and eaten in the time available, so we asked if we could just have some bread rolls. These came, but then we were provided with some absolutely lovely mulligatawny soup, because they could not let us go out an empty stomach. When we finished, I asked for the bill, but was told that all the food was with their compliments as we could not have a proper meal. Yes, I know the room cost is astronomic, but this quite small gesture showed real care for their guests and was memorable. This hotel is a real treat and if you possibly can, you should go.
