Just outside of San Jose, this amazing resort - with approximately three miles of scenic trails, a river and waterfalls - will show you the true wonder of Central America. Stunning guest villas offer flowing architecture that winds through the gardens and creates a modern-meets-tropical design that is at once elegantly stunning and gracefully tranquil. Bright and open rooms are spacious and breezy, with gleaming tiled floors, pure white walls, and vivid colorful accents - all tied in to the rich wood décor and furniture. Brilliant natural light streams in through large sliding glass doors, while the views from private garden terraces will truly take your breath away.

My wife and I went for a second massage with Daemie and Gloriana! They are absolutely fantastic! The herbal jacuzzi is wonderful and the massage to follow was the best I’ve ever had!

This place is A-maaaazing! It’s beautiful, exotic & relaxing. Not a party resort but great for families & friends needing to reconnect and enjoy nature. A lot of backpackers stay here a day or two before traveling to other part of CR. The staff is welcoming, friendly & hospitable. The food is delicious. I’ve decided to come here twice a year.

Elizabeth and Dani were incredible! We wanted a treatment after a week long stay in Santa Teresa, leaving very sun burnt. The lovely therapists recommended the “after sun” treatment and wow oh wow it was amazing!!! From the incredible view to the treatment, all wonderful! They managed to wrap our entire bodies in banana leaves and aloe Vera to cool our skin down and thoroughly enjoyed it! Rate it 11/10!! Definitely recommend

Xandari Resort is a beautiful, serene, visually stunning property. If your vacation goal is peace and quiet; looking to "get away from it all", this is the place for you. The natural foliage is stunning! The villas are well appointed, the food is fresh and delicious! Every meal I had did not disappoint! The staff was courteous, friendly and gracious. The spa is a must do!!! All of the sessions take place in individual huts overlooking the mountain range. The sunset pool is too die for! If you're planning a trip to Costa Rica Xandari is a must do!!

We love Xandari. You have the perfect combination of elegance and comfort, without the pretension and over solicitousness of other comparable hotels.

We have never been to a place where the imprint of human creativity is so well balanced with the beauty of nature.

My experience at Xandari has been more than value...it's about personal warmth and touch. Gentility is a rare treasure in the service industry. Costa Rica offers this on many levels and Xandari exceeds it.

“Travel Dates: March 24-28, 2013 Room: Villa 3 We are from the States. We chose Xandari based upon ratings from the trip advisor website, its proximity to the San Jose airport and its centrally located position (w/r/t to the country as a whole). We chose to rent a vehicle (easy to drive in Costa Rica as long as u have a 4x4 vehicle and a GPS)- would recommend limited night time driving. Xandari was an oasis set on the hillside with beautiful views of San Jose. The first night we arrived, we were greeted by the bellman and hotel desk staff. We were quickly whisked away to our room. We had an Ultra villa, which was more than enough room for me and my wife. The room had a small collection of ants near the screen door (my wife is terrified of bugs so this was more of an issue for her). The staff was extremely apologetic and quickly made arrangements to transfer us to another room. They did so within 15 minutes and we failed to have another complaint. Service at the restaurant was great, especially given the laissez-faire attitudes of most Costa-Ricans. The grounds were well maintained. The staff was extremely attentive and responsive to any request. The rooms were cleaned well by the maids. The bed, at least in my unit, was comfortable. Things to note: No air-condition, but they do have fans upon request (it gets quite cool at night, so this wasn't a significant issue for us). No TVs in the room, but they do have one in the main house (more of an issue if u like to keep up on your sports, etc while on vacation). Mild-moderate amount of insects outside of your rooms, but keep in mind the resort is set in a hill side jungle, replete with water falls, etc so this should be expected”
