There are no words to convey the magnificence of this hotel. It is so much more than a hotel. They staff here from waiters and gardeners to the spa staff and bartenders....the owners are always willing to do whatever is necessary to keep their guests happy. We have stayed in many five star hotels and nothing else comes close to the experience of staying at the Hacienda. The Swickards have created something truly special here and treat us like family. Don't even think of not spending time here.

What a stunningly beautiful and enchanting resort, hidden away in the historic town of Alamos, Mexico. Last week I had the privilege of discovering this magical place while on an executive retreat...far from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, California. This unforgettable hotel had all the amenities of a 5 star resort. The incredible guest rooms transport you to another place in time with beautiful stone-work, statues and even a fireplace. The grounds are immaculately kept with staff constantly patrolling its expansive footprint. Don't forget to visit their Tequila bar with over 450 varieties, as well as the chance to book a deep tissue massage...which was heavenly! A beautiful historic church also sits on their grounds which was a treat to visit in-between one of my workshops. I hope to return soon with my family and friends. Do yourself a favor and stay at this special place, if you have the chance. Hacienda de los Santos is a treasure!

Stunning, romantic, historic … a sparkling gem set in the colonial town of Alamos. This was our first visit, and our three-night stay was not long enough. Introduced by long-time friends of the Hacienda, this 30+ year labor of love is completely unique and a feast for the eyes and soul. Everywhere you turn, there is something new and beautiful to see. Each of the guest rooms are uniquely different, spacious, and magnificent. The grounds and other facilities are all immaculate. There was literally not a leaf out of place on the grounds … the ultimate in privacy and calm. The restaurant fare for all meals was varied and delicious, with the bar, outdoor and private dining areas unique and inviting. The staff was very kind accommodating, having only one concern … how to make our stay special. It’s easy to be at a loss for superlative adjectives to describe the Hacienda and its employees. If you’re going to be in Alamos, stay here. There is not a better 5-star experience

When we show up at the hacienda we melt into a puddle ! We have been flying into Alamos since before the Hacienda de los Santos existed. We met the Swickard's in 1993 when they re- built the first part of several haciendas that now incorporate the hotel property. So we have experienced over 30 years of extreme refinery. Hospitality, attention to detail, a happy loving staff that truly enjoys taking care of guests, is just part of the Alamos experience. It is no wonder that the Hacienda de Los Santos is the number one boutique hotel in North America ! Come and enjoy the magic. If you do not fly yourself use the Cross Border Express and hop on Volaris - 1.5 hour flight from Tiajuana to Ciudad Obregón then 1.2 hour drive to the front door of the Hacienda - the hotel will arrange a driver to pick you up. If you fly yourselves in the hacienda has a big hangar on the Alamos Airport to keep your plane happy while you visit! 18 years ago we purchased a home above the palacio, and to this day we spend a large percentage of time at the Hacienda de los Santos - we have met many guests both American and Mexican all Of whom have become friends.
