El Pescador

My husband, my sister, and I went to El Pescador for a fishing adventure and a winter getaway. We got everything we were hoping for and more! My sister spent lots of time adventuring on the Caye, found wonderful people to enjoy these adventures with, while my husband and I went fishing. The fishing was outstanding, and we were successful on all 3 days. Our guide Gordi was the best! I am a beginner, and my husband is more experienced, and Gordi made sure that we caught fish! We also did a day trip to have a bbq meal on the beach of fresh conch and fish....so yummy! We swam and snorkeled and saw turtles and fish of so many colors. Every day, we gathered with the others staying at the lodge, and had wonderful meals and great conversation. The staff is the best! This was a fabulous trip!

El Pescador made my shirt (3 night) trip incredibly easy and enjoyable! I booked very last minute and they handled all of the logistics. The winds made fishing tough, but I still managed to catch a permit and a lot of bonefish in a couple days of fishing. The food and drink was good, the pools/common area was great, and the rooms were spacious. Most of all, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend for people that value the fishing experience and are willing to pay a little extra to have all of the details/logistics worked out for them. The hotel and location is not great for beaches, so it is only good for non-anglers if there are other activities that they are interested in and/or if they want to hang out by the pools. Great staff. Great guides. Lots of fish. Nice accommodations. Great communication between staff members as to what your needs are and they are proactive with what should be done. The food is excellent and the menu changes daily. I hope to make it back.

El Pescador Lodge exceeded all of our expectations! From their amazing staff at the lodge, to their ALLSTAR lineup of flats fishing guides and unbelievable meals- we were blown away! My wife and mother in law are convinced the Rosaria gives the best messages in the world!! Cannot wait to go back!

We returned to El Pescador to a warm welcome by the staff who once again embraced us as family. The staff delivers unsurpassed customer service with genuine kindness and warmth. The rooms are well appointed, the food delicious and the fishing guides always put us on fish, and provided pointers along the way which was helpful to me as a less experienced fisherman. Although we didn’t use any of the pools, they were certainly inviting. We look forward to our next visit, only next time we will stay longer.
