A home away from home!
El Pescador Lodge is pure paradise. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like family: genuine, kind, and always one step ahead of our needs. My husband and I both fished and had unforgettable days on the water with incredible guides. Evenings were filled with great food, unreal surroundings and exceptional new friends. Leaving felt like saying goodbye to family. We can’t wait to return!

Everything refurbished or newly replaced. This is a fly fishing resort not just a lodge. The finest most attentive staff anywhere. Great food. Comfortable beds. Pressed linens. Daily housekeeping.

El Pescador is fantastic! Highly recommend!
My wife and I visited El Pescador for vacation. We were looking for somewhere warm and tropical with good fishing. My wife is very much a beginning fly fisherman. I am definitely not advanced, but I've fly fished for a while for several different species. El Pescador was absolutely fantastic. The lodge's amenities are amazing and the staff is five-star! We opted for the Sunrise Suite, which was fabulous. We enjoyed the extra room to lounge and have more space. The food, bar, snacks, well everything the lodge provides, was excellent! The staff is absolutely the best. We felt very spoiled! We fished three full days and had mostly very good fishing (the weather wasn't entirely cooperative). We caught plenty of bonefish, and I was able to get into multiple tarpon! We also enjoyed two days of amazing snorkeling. The lodge is extremely accommodating in setting everything up. Rental golf carts are available right at the lodge for any exploring you want to do around Ambergris Caye or San Pedro. This is an excellent place for the fisherman and the "dabbler" fisher-wife. It would also be great for children and the entire family. A definite place for a couple's fishing trip! We will definitely be going back!!!

Experience of a lifetime
El Pescador is a historic, bucket list destination for any serious fly fisherman. I passed by the lodge 28 years ago when on my honeymoon and finally made it back this year. The staff, the guides and the overall experience was better than I imagined it would be. I have fished all over the western hemisphere and have to say l, this was the best experience to date. Can’t wait to come back.

El Pescador has carved out a real niche for itself. Its combination of comfortable and gracious living in a totally relaxed, outdoor setting is unique and has a charm all its own. When asked by Steve for our suggestions about how to make it better, we were hard pressed to come up with anything substantive.
I don't know whether you embrace all of your guests as you did our little family, but we felt as though we were being welcomed into a wonderfully warm, interesting, and entertaining family that we were only too happy to be adopted by.
