Combining picturesque tropical accommodations with unforgettable adventure, El Pescador is both a haven and a playground off the east coast of Belize. This family-run resort enjoys a secluded location on the beach at Ambergris Caye, where each of the freestanding luxury villas - as well as all guest rooms in the gracious, colonial-style lodge - face the sea. Savor the Caribbean's distinctive flavors with fresh local cuisine at the restaurant, then head to the bar to swap the day's stories over signature rum punch. Whether you are dreaming of active pursuits, water adventures, or just relaxing in a beachfront paradise, the experienced staff at El Pescador resort will help you have the perfect Belize vacation.

From trolling the local waters to casting in the tarpon flats, fishing is a highlight at this singular resort. When not on the hunt for bonefish or permit, you might explore the region's famed barrier reef with El Pescador's own master dive and snorkel instructors. Stroll to nearby San Pedro town for its lively dining scene, or take a jungle river cruise to a Mayan archaeological site. When it comes to unique pursuits, the opportunities at El Pescador are endless.

El Pescador is smack in the middle of a fishing paradise. Bone fish, Permit and Tarpin are all on offer. The folks at El Pescador are warm, friendly, very service oriented and create a relaxed, enjoyable vibe. The staff is very well trained and just the nicest people. Our guide for the week was terrific- patient, knowledgeable and a great sense of humor. The food is delicious and plentiful, the beds very comfortable. Service, Room and Value all top rated. What more could a person who fished hard all day ask for? We’ll definitely be back.

If you love Flyfishing for bonefish, permit and tarpon on the flats in Belize this the resort to go to. Beautiful location on Ambergris Caye. The El Pescador Resort has beautiful rooms, fantastic food and a great staff of friendly faces. The fishing guides are knowledgeable of the area and how to go about catching them. In addition to the fantastic fishing opportunities there are lots of other eco tourism activities available.

This was our 3rd trip in 12 months. Another fantastic adventure and awesome accommodations by the lodge and Staff. landed over 40 Spooky Bonefish and had shots at Tarpon and Snook. The daily culinary experience was wonderful with family dining and conversation with the rest of the group. We are already looking forward to a trip in the future to target Permit and to see the mainland. Thank you to the entire El Pescador family! Joey and Heather Grenada MS.

My husband and I traveled to El Pescador with another couple and had an excellent time. The staff at El Pescador is wonderful. We stayed in a 2 room villa that was very roomy and comfortable. Well appointed. Fly fishing was a success. Scuba diving was excellent as well. El Pescador was very helpful setting up all out excursions including a trip to Lamanai which I recommend. Food is excellent, and very healthy with many options.

Anne and Ken of El Pescador manage a little slice of heaven! The world-class staff treat you like family, and you will leave on a first name basis. Bella and her kitchen crew prepar family-style, homemade meals every day, and the food is exceptional. Not to mention, the bar staff who treat you better than you should be ;) I haven't even touched upon the gorgeous accommodations, oceanic views, and tropical setting. This resort truly is a magical place. My husband and I decided to visit El Pescador for our honeymoon because of the reputation it holds as a fly fishing destination. We spent half of our time in Belize on a boat with La Estrella, Hilberto! We chased bones, permits, and tarpon in one of the most biologically diverse places on the planet. While fishing, we saw manatees, rays, and birds that people travel across the globe to see. We could have never imagined how special our trip would be. Thank you Trip Advisor for the recommendation and El Pescador for a trip of a lifetime! Bests, Georgie and Mario
