Reviews for El Pescador
My wife and I traveled to Belize for the first time to attend a close friend's wedding at El Pescador. Wow! What a great experience! The lodging accommodations were very comfortable, the food was terrific, service staff was always friendly and the bar/bar staff were great!

I never write reviews, but this place was so spectacular I felt I owed it to the staff and to fellow travelers to write one. The resort is best styled as a luxury lodge. It primarily caters to fishing enthusiasts. However, expert and novice anglers are well served. There are daily one on one fly casting lessons. The guides worked hard to find fish. While we were there several people had grand slams (tarpon, bone, permit in a single day). But what was also impressive were the activities for guests that do not fish. The lodge provided bikes, canoeing, kayaking in the mangrove lagoon, paddle boarding all inclusive. They also arranged tours of Mayan ruins, diving or snorkeling. The staff was so gracious. They each knew the guests by name. The Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton can not equal the attentiveness of the staff at El Pescador. They anticipate your needs and wants with the warmth of friends and family. It is not just service with a smile. When you leave you are leaving new found friends.
The staff and owner of El Pescador really saved my trip. Because of a flight mishap I missed Day 1 of a 3-day trip. I was able to extend my trip and El Pescador helped me out with a free night and discounted extra night. I caught more fish on my extra day than the rest of the trip combined. The staff were wonderful and really took great care of us. The guides were excellent and knowledgeable. We met lots of great people and had a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!!!
My wife and I just got back from a great trip to El Pescadore. We were there as part of an Orvis Baton Rouge entourage. Grounds were immaculate and food was excellent. Staff was very attentive and aimed to take care of any concerns. We fished three exciting days targeting bonefish and tarpon. Afternoons were spent poolside with a great assortment of beverages. Dinner was served outdoors where we all traded fishing tales. I'd definitely love to return to experience this great resort.

El Pescador for is a fantastic resort. All inclusive with great fresh food, so good that we didn't lose weight on vacation. The staff is extremely warm and friendly and do their best to make everyone feel at home. Everything is easy there. Super fishing guides, lunch served on the boat, water and limeade-great for staying hydrated. Incredible fishing in pristine water. We caught so many fish and learned so much from our guide, Ketchu. Pook and I are ready to go back ASAP!
