Reviews for NH Collection Amsterdam Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky
excellent and very good location at the main square, near shopping center and entertainment i suppose it to young people because of short distance to find any thing you need new couple will enjoy in their rooms and big lobby and nice space
Situated on Dam Sq just 10 mins walk from the centre and close to all attractions. Reception staff were brilliant, the room was excellent even if we didn't get much of a view. Didnt eat there as it was rather expensive although breakfast (advertised at 29eu each) was offered at a discount, but we wanted to explore more local places to eat.

If you're looking for a super classy place for a coffee and a pastry, where you can watch the world go by in a cosy elegant bubble; then let me point you in the direction of Café Krasnapolsky at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky. I was dazzled by the Instagram worthy reception/lobby that you have to walk through to access the café. It was a bright, contemporary showstopper with beautiful interiors. At the Café entrance, I was greeted by the jovial head of serving staff/café manager and directed to my table. The room layout was a curved rectangle and I sat at the far end of it, in a green leather backed cosy corner overlooking Dam Square. I ordered a cappuccino and a lemon curd tart, both of which arrived promptly and were exquisitely presented. My cappuccino was delivered on a silver tray, with a shot glass of water, 2 china bowls - 1 with sugar - 1 containing a mini strawberry macaroon. On the side of my saucer beside my cappuccino, another little sweet delight - a caramel wafer. I turned my attention to my lemon curd tart. - which was actually a deconstructed lemon meringue pie. The shortcrust base was buttery and crumbled nicely. The meringue was light, fluffy and flavoursome. The only disappointment for me was the lemon curd itself. I like my lemon curd to be sharp and tangy. Unfortunately, my curd lacked a tasty strong punch. Fortunately, for me my macaroon didn't disappoint, Light chewy and filled with a lush chocolate filling, leaving me with a very big smile on my face. As I looked around the dining area, I was struck by the lovely diversity among the customers - a pleasing mix of tourists and locals, all intent on enjoying the tasty delights of Café Krasnapolsky. The room flowed beautifully, and the staff were the epitome of professionalism and provided excellent customer service. What I also loved about my experience at Café Krasnapolsky, was the way I was gifted time by the staff, to just relax, which I really appreciated as it gave me more time to appreciate the gorgeous surroundings. Just one last tip for all my fellow tech nuts, I'm happy to say that the wifi reception was excellent. I was able to catch up on emails, although I was happy to put down the phone for once. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky and would highly recommend it.

Lovely late lunch last Monday. Nothing was too much problem for the waiting staff. A relaxing, satisfying Visit and fabulous simple food (our choice - other options are available) on the Dam Square. Would highly recommend this hotel and/or the restaurant . I would return on a heart beat. Thank you Krasnapolskyđź’•

We stayed her for 3 nights. We took our 18 year old daughter here for her graduation gift. The hotel offered 3 single beds which I don’t love but it seems to be common in Europe. It would be nice to have 2 double beds in one room. No worries though, we pushed the beds together to make a king for me and the hubs. The room was tiny, and had a small desk. The door to the closet wouldn’t open of the chair to the desk was in the wrong place. All we needed it for was sleeping and that was fine. The location was fabulous. There was a street party all 3 nights we were there and it was loud but again, we came for a party. On Sundays they do vendor fairs in each little neighborhood as well. These things are all at your finger tips when staying here. We would definitely stay here again.
