Reviews for Finca Cortesin Hotel Golf & Spa
After a busy period of weddings and family fun we decided to chill here for a few days and enjoy some ‘us’ time. We really couldn’t have picked a better spot. I overuse the word stunning with regard to hotels but this really is gorgeous. Our suite had a separate living room, enormous bathroom and separate cloakroom as well as a kitchen and lovely terrace. The décor is breath taking. We intend to buy a house in the Costa Del Sol and when we do I will hunt down their interior designer. Prices for food and wine are reasonable and there is a great choice of eating and drinking venues. The views, real estate and staff are all exactly as you would wish. Nearly hotel perfection. On restaurants Kabuki Raw was fabulous. Truly delicious Japanese food. Exquisite. The balance of venues were also very good. But the Italian one was poor – really average food – a stodgy bruschetta and a slimy scallopini al limone were low lights on otherwise excellent food. At breakfast despite asking for boiling water every day I didn’t get it once. Please, please Spanish hotels understand the tea needs to be made with the hottest water. The coffee was also not hot. I hate waste and the delivery of meats, cheese, toast (always underdone and also not hot), yoghurt and on one memorable day nachos for breakfast seems a little wasteful if you don’t yet know what you want to eat. But this is nit picking. We loved Finca Cortesin and confidently look forward to our return visit.

The course is nicely maintained but new greens last year don't justify the price you pay. Also, while some of the holes are wonderful, some are just mediocre or worse. So far the best course we played is Sotogrande.

The environment was spectacular both inside and out but the service at breakfast was awful. We chose from the menu but only the coffee and one course arrived out of several. The room was spacious and very comfortable.

We stayed at Finca CortesÃn for 5 nights for a much-needed get-away following a busy year with no real vacations away from home. It is a peaceful location away from the busy Costa del Sol so ideal for a relaxing break yet with easy access to the coast, beaches and towns. Facilities are excellent - golf, spa, on-site restaurants and a beach club reachable by complimentary shuttle. We had a very nice room with lovely decorations and a luxurious bathroom with Penhaligon toiletries. Public rooms are particularly comfortable with furnishings with Moorish influences. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

We stayed one night at the Finca Cortesin while we were touring in Andalusia last October and I wish we would have booked more nights! The hotel is absolutely STUNNING! Designed with a touch of Iberian history, the decoration mix modern and old pieces of art, antique wood tables and modern fabric pattern. The service is TOP NOTCH! Staff is available, smiling and helpful. After our dinner at the hotel, there was a piano concert on the hotel terrace and it was such a delightful moment - last drink, music and warm wind from the sea ! The hotel offers a lot of services: Spa, gym, tennis, yoga, golf course & class, free WiFi, laundry service, valet parking. There are 3 pools in the hotel - two outside and one inside - so you barely see any other guests and you have the feeling to be alone - so peaceful! The food was outstanding ; the breakfast over the top and for dinner we ate at Kabuki Raw - the hotel's One Michelin Starred signature restaurant. The cuisine is a fusion of Japanese with Mediterranean influences. It was simply perfect! The cherry on the cake of this hotel is it's fabulous (and so trendy) Beach Club! Swimming Pool, Palm Trees, Sea, & Cocktails - what a perfect Mix! We loved it so much that we will definitively go back this year for a get away week end!
