Reviews for Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club

The Aurora Anguilla delighted our family (especially our 4 yr old!)

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Our family loves beach vacations at resorts where we can enjoy great service and have fun. We found this property because it was a VIP Access property offering free breakfast. We saved us roughly $800 over the week since the (incredible) breakfast was comped as part of a loyalty program benefit through One Key. The Aurora is the best resort we have stayed at in the Caribbean. The service and attention to detail is second to none. The property is set on an amazing part of Rendezvous Bay. Bonus: there is a brand new waterpark with three great water slides. My son had the time of his life. We were looking for a fantastic place to have a family vacation, our lofty expectations were exceeded. A special shout out to Rakeem, Theresa, Natalie, and the entire Aurora staff, who made this trip of a lifetime. Thank you for making this an incredible trip!!!

Best of the best

This is my 2nd time staying at the Aurora. First was about 18 months ago for my birthday just my wife and I, but this time we decided to bring our kids for spring break. This place did not let us down before and it was just as great the second time around. We were greeted with a smile and a welcome drink which I hope gets on the menu soon. We stayed in the Merrywing tower this time with an AMAZING view of Rendezvous Bay. The room is probably about 700 sqft and it had a pull out couch so it was perfect for my two boys. The service here is just amazing, the staff really go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your time from the beach attendant to the front desk and the wait staff at all the restaurants was A+. The Aurora now has a breakfast buffet at Oliva which was perfect for the kids but i will warm you are on island time so just relax if a dish is gone it will get replenished in due time. The beach is just immaculate. I will say that the beach at the Merrywing was better than the Rendezvous side (IMO) Since we brought our kids we spent a great deal of time at the water park. We got to know the staff pretty well since we were there so much. I forget the waitress name but she saw us so much she even gave us free drinks on her. Tons of things for the kids to do with video games, chess, soccer, pool, mini golf, basketball, etc . Be warned the orange slide is the fast one. We was there for Easter and the Easter brunch was outstanding at the Richards restaurant. I cannot make any complaints even if I tried. This place is an 10/10 and I am sure we will be back for round #3 really soon. Kudos to the Aurora staff

Our 16-Year Love Affair with Cuisinart/Aurora For the past 16 years, Aurora has been our go to every time vacation comes up, it’s a place we return to, sometimes twice a year. It's not just a destination; it's our haven, where every moment is treasured, thanks to the exceptional team who consistently go above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Our days by the pool are nothing short of perfection, all thanks to Teresa. Her attentiveness, and genuine care ensure that each day is filled with joy and relaxation. The return of Justin as the hotel ambassador was great to see. His presence has always provided exceptional service and genuine hospitality. From the days of him being behind the beach bar or attending to guests' needs, Justin's commitment to excellence shines through, making every interaction delightful and memorable.Karen and her remarkable staff deserve accolades for crafting an unparalleled guest experience. Under her leadership, the teams professionalism, warmth, and dedication. Karen's leadership has made a culture of excellence, where every team member plays a role in creating unforgettable moments for guests. And let's not forget the view – a breathtaking backdrop with a beautiful beach that complements the service and hospitality. Thanks to Teresa, Justin, Karen, and the entire team, our love affair with Aurora only grows stronger with each passing year.

Estate homes are not worth the price

I’ve stayed at this property several times over the past 15 years when it was CuisinArt, but this was the first time under the Aurora name/ownership. Overall, the property is still run very similarly to when it was Cuisinart. The big difference is nicer furnishings and much better beach chairs. Many of the same employees are still there as when it was CuisinArt, which is wonderful, but there is a new general manager. I had met the previous general manager several times when the property was Cuisinart but I’m disappointed to say that I did not meet the new general manager. We were staying in one of the five bedroom estate homes, but I had friends staying in one of the three bedroom beachfront villas, which I had stayed in on previous visits, so I was able to see both. Both our home and my friends’ beach villa came with a dedicated Butler but the service level was mediocre at best. I have also stayed at the Four Seasons in their beachfront villas and the Butler service there is spectacular. Based on my previous stays at the Four Seasons in their 4 and 5 bedroom beachfront and oceanfront homes, I have to say that Aurora is overcharging for their five bedroom estate homes. There is a bit of a discount given that they are not on the beach, but you can’t even access the water from them. While they are large, the big problem is that they are in a state of disrepair. Several things were broken in the home (hooks missing in the bathroom, a dishwasher that constantly leaked, doors that did not close smoothly.), and there was an ant infestation going on in the kitchen and master bedroom when we arrived. Also, the home has not really been decorated. The furnishings were not new and the shelves were basically empty. It is fine to rent out these homes, but not at the price they are asking. If they are going to charge what they are charging, then they need to update the homes and put in better furnishings and decorations. In particular, the sunken bathtubs are gross and dangerous, because it is easy for kids to fall into them. The terrace needs more furnishings as well. There should be a larger table for dining and outdoor sofas in addition to the lounge chairs. There are several built-in benches, but they lacked cushions,. It felt as if these homes had been sitting empty, and when they realized someone had booked them, they rushed to throw in some items, but it was not enough to make it truly comfortable. Also, the Butler service was not up to par. I only saw our Butler on 3 occasions, and he was only moderately useful. Four Seasons really understands what dedicated Butler service should be and far surpasses Aurora here.

One Team One Dream

Legit tears when we left! I would say our family has stayed in a variety of luxury properties and this one rivals the best of the best. The BEST of the best. The service is hands down spoiling from the minute you arrive on island. We had a beach view suite and it was exquisite. Aiden, our Villa host checked in on us multiple times a day and catered to our every request. The rooms and housekeeping were top notch. We golf, and my husband is a critical golfer and he was beyond impressed with the grounds. Our daughter loved the waterpark. Wow! We will be back! Thank you!
