We are on day 5 of our 8 day vacation. Family with 2 teenage kids thoroughly enjoying every minute here. I’m extremely proud of myself for choosing this over similar properties at other beaches. The beach, resort, quality, staff, activities are amazing at Aurora. Everyone from bell men, beach attendees, restaurant staff, groundskeeper, landscapers, drivers, butlers, cleaning staff, entertainment park staff, front staff to general managers were all so pleasant and helpful. Anything you need from reservations on and off site to pickleball games is all accessible. I thoroughly enjoyed the Pickleball clinic and competitive games played. Just one lesson with them improved my game tremendously. Son and I enjoyed the greenhouse tour which we got to taste some fresh ripe grapes and greens. Extremely impressed with all the fine details this resort offers (cold towels, fresh glass bottled waters, sun lotions, cold plunge, etc) The restaurants on site were all good. Some service was better than others but nothing unusual being it is island time. The only gripe if I had to nit pick was the scheduling of activities. Racket sports should ideally start around 8 or 9 to get a good start to the day as well as beat the hot sun. Also wished they offered the yoga classes earlier as well. It was hard to do most activities since they were all schedules around the same time, approx 10am. We also ate at sharkeys, tastys, Ken’s bbq, sunshine shack, and straw hat. All good food if you prefer the menu choices. We will definitely be back again and hopefully longer to take in more of the beaches, entertainment center, food/crayfish/snapper/lobster, turn down service and the gorgeous island. We rented a car and felt very comfortable driving on the left side here. This is definitely one of my favorite Caribbean island.

I only golfed at the Aurora Anguilla Resort. We arrived on a private yacht, a call was made and a small dingy was sent out from the shore to bring us in. The equipment was top notch, they also supplied us with golf balls. There was a small buffet available with juice, coffee, tea and a lite breakfast breads and fruit. The carts were clean and reasonably new. The course was magnificent, greens ran true, fast but not tournament quick. The rough was challenging, the fairway cut short but full. Overall a lovely golf course. For three golfers, renting equipment and playing one game the cost was $ 1,700. total. Yes - seventeen hundred dollars. $500 to play - $75 for equipment / each...Ouch

First time in Anguilla- the Aurora did not disappoint. We were greeted by Justin Time upon arrival - he was attentive and welcoming throughout our stay- always approach us each time he saw us and addressed us by name- impressive and a true super-star! Another memorable staff Merlon at the beach sports shed-super helpful and always with a smile. So many others from front desk- to housekeeping -the whole staff were accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Enjoyed a golf lesson with Richard who taught us the basics of golf in a short time. The room was spacious-clean and comfortable. We rented a car to explore the island- did not regret the opportunity to get round on our own. Beautiful beaches and great restaurants throughout the island. Will definitely return!

I travel to evaluate hotels for magazines and always consider the preferences of the person writing the review. If you want a sense of what I prefer, I usually stay at high-end hotels like Jumeirah, Puento Romane, Waldorf, Conrad Hotels, St Regis, Six Senses, Ett Hem Stockholm, and Sanders Copenhagen to mention a few. In most cases, my family travels with me, including my husband and two children/tweens. We are staying at Aurora Anguilla during the low season end of Oct/beg Nov. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. Service is attentive and friendly. We were welcomed with fruit, pralines, and a bottle of wine to celebrate our 21st anniversary. It was a thoughtful gesture, although we do not drink alcohol. During our visit, the breakfast buffet was very limited. I recommend not purchasing it in advance. I regretted paying for it for all four of us, as no one really wanted to eat from it. I was expecting more from a hotel of this class when it comes to the buffé. The selection mostly caters to guests who enjoy a sweet breakfast with pastries, cakes, and croissants. Even the plain yogurts contained sugar. There was some pineapple, a few slices of cheese, and cured salmon. It was also disappointing that there was no fresh-pressed juice available, such as orange juice. Ordering à la carte is a better option would you stay here. The rooms are fresh and cleaned frequently. The beach is beautiful and the staff are consistently kind and helpful. The hotel has a large activity center with plenty of options for children and teenagers. The water park is limited if your kids are older, mine are 10 and 12 and strong swimmers. There are three slides and a lazy river. For younger children, there are more suitable areas and activities The hotel has only a handful of guests, and several restaurants were closed, which makes it difficult to fully evaluate the property. For dining options I will update the review after a couple of days.
