There is a reason we have been coming to this resort for over 15 years - great location on Rendezvous Bay, beautiful resort, and most importantly the team. Everyone at Aurora makes you not only feel welcome, they make you feel like family. From Gregory in security who always has a smile and makes sure that we know all the fun events on the property, to Andrew Cosbert in landscaping who found out that my grandsons had a bit of sunburn and brought fresh aloe to us!!!. Breakfast at Chefs Table offers a lovely buffet with a gorgeous view of the water and hills of St Martin. The team there goes above and beyond. Neivan knew that I liked berries and brought a bowl to me every morning. Dwayneshia greeted us with a warm smile everyday. Natalie, Samarro, Joyce, Jocelyn, Sharon, and Shadae were fantastic - always remembering our names and whether we preferred coffee, tea, cappuccino. They even made sure that fried johnny cakes were on the buffet for our last breakfast since that was our grandson's favorite new food. At the beach and lobby bars, Rinaldo and Jahvade added so much fun to our stay, crafting amazing cocktails and creating a convivial atmosphere. My husband and I got married at Aurora in 2015 and were celebrating our anniversary while we were there. Justin "Time" Otto arranged for us to share a cocktail underneath the coconut trees by villa 2100 where we said our wedding vows 10 years prior. It was so special and meaningful to us that we could toast our anniversary in that exact spot. The beach is gorgeous and the calm, warm water is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and sailing. Kemi, Morise, and Marlin on the beach team made sure everyday was perfect - including a special Hobie Cat sail for our grandsons with Marlin. They set up your beach chairs, fill small coolers with bottles of water, and bring complimentary cups of sorbet to your chair in the afternoon. If you prefer to be more active, their water park is fun for all ages - including 3 giant water slides and a lazy river. There is also golf, pickle ball, tennis, a rock climbing wall, non-motorized watersports, and mini golf available on the property. The spa is wonderful as well. Management is always present but not intrusive. Derek Carty and Petal checked in to ensure our stay was going great - which it definitely was. Whether you want to relax or be active, Aurora has something for everyone.

From the pick up at the ferry to the return to the ferry everything offered is exceptional! The staff are genuinely friendly and engaging and it’s clear they enjoy being at the resort as much as the guest do! Resident resort ambassador Justin is the kind and resourceful representative any organization would want as their chief of meet and greet. The grounds are impeccably manicured and for a non golfer, the course was so beautiful I begin to question why I wasn’t a golfer, the beauty of the course is just that inviting. To walk directly out from your beach suite into sheer clear ocean water bliss is a reason to fall in love if but only to be able to share such a heavenly aesthetic and experience. If peace and tranquility are your love language this resort whispers sweet nothings and somethings all day every day…indeed a love affair I did not want to end! We visited Aurora for breakfast , whilst staying on the island. The approach to the hotel and then the walk to the restaurant is very impressive and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant has a lovely view of the sea and St Maarten in the distance. The staff are very attentive and our table was cleared and relaid each time we went to the buffet area. My daughter and I enjoyed freshly made omelettes, local vegetables and the selection of fresh fruits which are all kept chilled in the fridges. We liked the grapefruit juice and iced house waters. I didn’t like the coffee but was able to order a latte for an extra cost. Next time, it would probably be better for us to order from the a la carte but other guests seemed to enjoy lots of waffles and cakes, so clearly the hotel knows what it is doing. We will definitely go back.
