I travel to evaluate hotels for magazines and always consider the preferences of the person writing the review. If you want a sense of what I prefer, I usually stay at high-end hotels like Jumeirah, Puento Romane, Waldorf, Conrad Hotels, St Regis, Six Senses, Ett Hem Stockholm, and Sanders Copenhagen to mention a few. In most cases, my family travels with me, including my husband and two children/tweens. We are staying at Aurora Anguilla during the low season end of Oct/beg Nov. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. Service is attentive and friendly. We were welcomed with fruit, pralines, and a bottle of wine to celebrate our 21st anniversary. It was a thoughtful gesture, although we do not drink alcohol. During our visit, the breakfast buffet was very limited. I recommend not purchasing it in advance. I regretted paying for it for all four of us, as no one really wanted to eat from it. I was expecting more from a hotel of this class when it comes to the buffé. The selection mostly caters to guests who enjoy a sweet breakfast with pastries, cakes, and croissants. Even the plain yogurts contained sugar. There was some pineapple, a few slices of cheese, and cured salmon. It was also disappointing that there was no fresh-pressed juice available, such as orange juice. Ordering à la carte is a better option would you stay here. The rooms are fresh and cleaned frequently. The beach is beautiful and the staff are consistently kind and helpful. The hotel has a large activity center with plenty of options for children and teenagers. The water park is limited if your kids are older, mine are 10 and 12 and strong swimmers. There are three slides and a lazy river. For younger children, there are more suitable areas and activities The hotel has only a handful of guests, and several restaurants were closed, which makes it difficult to fully evaluate the property. For dining options I will update the review after a couple of days.

Hubby and I visited Aurora to celebrate his birthday and the entire staff was quite hospitable. We dined at Tokyo Bay and D Richards and had breakfast at Chef Table which were all great selections. Special thanks to the Resort Ambassador Justin Time who went out of his way to ensure that we had a memorable time. If you ever you visit Aurora make ask for Justin Time. Thanks Aurora

Stayed here for my 48th birthday in October and had the best time. Staff is super nice and friendly, willing to go out of their way to help. If you need a ride to any of the multitude of activities they have on the property, please ask for Justine Time and he’ll be there just in time! Loved everything about this place and are definitely planning to visit again in April 2026.
