Malliouhana

We stayed at Malliouhana back in August. Overall, the hotel is lovely; it has a boutique feel, and the gardens are beautiful. The ocean was stunning, and views were gorgeous from most areas of the property, plus our room. I would give the hotel 4.5 stars, but the beach problems lower the overall experience. We (2 adults, one tween) flew into Anguilla from SXM (I was definitely a little nervous about the tiny plane, but ended up loving the flight). The resort arranged for our transportation and we arrived at Malliouhana. We were greeted but the team, and had a delicious rum punch and cold towel. Loved the aromatherapy bracelets, they were so calming. We were upgraded to a one-bedroom suite from the Jr. Suite which we really appreciated. The room was beautiful (if a bit worn) and the view was unreal. We had a few AC issues and a leak during the stay, all of which was handled appropriately. We ate at all of the restaurants, and the food in general ranged from fine to excellent. Bar Soleil was great, and the Taco Tuesday night was especially fun. We also did the chocolate & rum tasting. Breakfast was always excellent, and the staff was especially wonderful. Definitely try Karoma's daily juice special. The beach itself was one of the best I have been to. We did get bit by sea lice the first couple of days, but cortisone helped with that. The water is super clear and it was a perfect temp. The beach employees were all nice, but it was hit or miss in terms of service. We were there during Carnival, and knew our first few days would be more crowded, but it was a blast seeing the sailboats and the poker run. That being said, after Carnival ended, the yachts overtook the cove by Malliouhana. At one point, I counted ten of them in the small cove by the hotel. It is strange because they congregate there, and ONLY there on Mead's Bay. I'm not sure why (does the hotel allow it, get money for it? Is it for safety reasons?), but it truly took away from the serene atmosphere. I was under the impression that Anguilla was more secluded and it was a shame that the lame house music and the smell of fuel took over the beach. I am not usually one to be too bothered by boats, people, etc. but it definitely got to be too much. If it was this bad during the slow season, I can't imagine how bad it must be when it's busier. All in all, we did have a good visit. The staff went above and beyond for us (especially when a family emergency happened towards the end of our stay). I will never forget the kindness they displayed. Malliouhana is exactly the kind of hotel we like - smaller, boutique-y, with a family feel. That being said, I don't know if I'll be back to the hotel purely because of the beach/yacht situation. Anguilla is not a cheap trip, and the beaches are unreal - but to be surrounded by yachts, bad music and the smell of fuel is likely not worth it. I really hope there are changes regarding this, as we'd love to come back otherwise.

Just as the title says, that's what started our vacation off. Jihvell at the front desk was genuinely welcoming along with the ladies at breakfast, Camicia, Glennica and Miguel. We looked so forward to breakfast every morning as it was such a treat it was amazing!💯 Now back to my 100 calorie oatmeal. 😏Stefan the pool attendant was very informative and great at his job. Stephano greeted us with a smile and a chat to get our car. One time he was busy and the front desk manager went up and she got it for us! Lemmy at Leon's was great! Appreciate him getting us ready for that beautiful Meads Bay beach! Ooh the beach, how I miss it -absolutely stunning! Malliouhana was so beautiful & genuinely welcoming, we can't wait to go back!

Our 5 nights at Malliouhana was absolutely amazing and perfect! The hotel is a beautiful combination of luxury and Caribbean casual! Our rooms were amazing and spacious will stunning views. The property offers 3 gorgeous beaches and views that are unrivaled. And the staff was absolutely amazing. Everything about Malliouhana was magical and we cannot wait to return!

This is our second visit. The staff remembers you. They know your likes and dislikes. The are kid freindly. The pool is gorgeous and relaxing. The beach was amazing. We found pockets around the beach where kids wanted to go and explore. They had alot of fun. The manager Kevan is very freidly and kim was great as well. All staff were amaxing, Mike/yannick/CJ/Atil/Carona/Caly/Sarah/Tangy to name a few.

We stayed at Malliouhana at the beginning of August. The weather was perfect. It was the start of their down season so the resort wasn't packed. We’ve never experienced such amazing service. The whole staff is so friendly and accommodating. We were there celebrating some big family milestones, and they made each and every one of us feel so special. They truly made our vacation feel like a once in a lifetime experience. The photos do not do the resort justice. It is stunning from the entrance to the lobby to the well appointed and very comfortable rooms. The pools are gorgeous and you can’t beat the beach! Their restaurants and room service were always delicious. And so are the drinks! Everything was top-notch. We will 100% come back. I’ve never been so sad to leave a vacation. Book it, you won’t regret it.
