If it wasn’t for the staff at this hotel, we honestly would have checked out and gone elsewhere. We traveled as part of a large wedding group and were not completely happy with the setup of our room. For three people getting ready for wedding events, having only one bathroom and no powder room was difficult. While it is considered a suite, it did not feel like a true suite for our needs. In hindsight, perhaps we should have booked sooner or selected a different accommodation. The reason we stayed was the staff. Point blank, period. From the moment we arrived, Tishema greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. Jojo, our driver, provided top-tier service throughout our stay. He was professional, friendly, reliable, and always a pleasure to be around. Jimmy, the General Manager, was kind and pleasant whenever we interacted with him. But the real star of this hotel is Miguel. Every morning Miguel had our breakfast reservation ready, greeted us with warmth, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We looked forward to seeing him every day. He consistently went above and beyond and made our mornings special. We only wanted to have breakfast every day because of the service and hospitality he provided. Long after we've forgotten details about the room, we will remember Miguel and how he made us feel. Hospitality comes naturally to him, and it shows. He is truly an asset to this property and one of the main reasons we enjoyed our stay. Bobo was awesome and would do anything to make our stay special. Tee was my number one go-to person. She helped us with literally everything we needed from beginning to end. Whenever we called, she came running and always went above and beyond. Her kindness, responsiveness, and willingness to help never went unnoticed. She made what could have been a stressful wedding week feel effortless and enjoyable. She is an incredible asset to this property. The housekeeping team also deserves recognition. The room was clean, fresh towels were provided daily, and turndown service was much appreciated during a busy wedding week. There were some areas that could be improved. Our terrace appeared neglected and was unfortunately not a space we wanted to use because of its condition. The shower was also leaky, which became a bit annoying, although we were so busy with wedding events that we managed to overlook it. I will also say that some of the pre-arrival communication left me feeling uneasy and concerned about what to expect. The reservation experience did not leave the best first impression and had me worried about the trip before arriving. Thankfully, once we arrived and met Miguel, Tee, Bobo, Jojo, Tishema, and the rest of the team, those concerns quickly disappeared. A quick mention to Tie at the bar, who made some of the best margaritas and espresso martinis I've had in a long time. I'd also like to recognize Stephano and Manuel, who helped make our stay enjoyable and contributed to the warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout the resort. One of my favorite parts of the resort was the small cove next to the restaurant. I actually enjoyed it more than the main beach. While there wasn't a formal setup there, it felt like a hidden gem and was the perfect place to take a swim after breakfast. Absolutely spectacular. I would also like to recognize Lemmy at the beach, who provided truly top-tier service. He made sure we were perfectly set up, checked on us throughout the day, and delivered some of the best food and drinks we had during our stay. His attention to detail, friendly personality, and genuine hospitality made our beach days effortless and enjoyable. Service like his is what elevates a vacation from good to memorable. Does the property feel like the Auberge experience I expected in every aspect? Not entirely. There are areas that could use attention, particularly with room layouts, maintenance details, and parts of the guest experience before arrival. However, what this resort does have is something far more important: incredible people. Miguel, Tee, Bobo, Jojo,Darenique,Jarah, Dikeera, Lemmy, Tie, Stephano, Manuel, and the rest of the team transformed what could have been an average stay into a memorable one. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care are the reason we stayed, the reason we enjoyed ourselves, and the reason we left happy. And if management reads this review, please recognize Miguel and Tee. They are exceptional hospitality professionals and were the biggest reasons our stay turned around. Miguel, in particular, is truly outstanding and one of the finest hospitality professionals we have encountered anywhere in the world. People like him are the reason guests return

My husband and I stayed at Malliouhana for eight nights to celebrate our anniversary. The resort itself is stunning. The views are some of the best we’ve ever experienced, our room in Jasmine Villa was beautiful, and Meads Bay was absolutely perfect during our stay. Unfortunately, the service did not match the setting. Many staff members seemed indifferent or unfriendly, and we often felt like a burden whenever we requested anything—from beach service to housekeeping and minibar refills. The beach experience was particularly disappointing. There is a call-button system for service, but it was largely ineffective and often required multiple attempts before anyone responded. Service was consistently slow, and on two separate occasions while waiting to order drinks or close our tab, we observed beach attendants using the Hobie Cat recreationally without guests. Housekeeping was inconsistent, and our minibar frequently went unstocked. One particularly disappointing interaction occurred when a staff member named Melissa responded to a minibar refill request with an audible sigh and eye roll after being thanked. While there were a few excellent employees (Kevin and Stephano), they were the exception. Our anniversary dinner at Celeste was underwhelming, with small portions and disappointing food for the steep price. We were also surprised to be charged for a dessert presented with a “Happy Anniversary” message—something we have never experienced before in our travels. You start to feel nickel and dimed. On our last morning, housekeeping mistakenly sent our dirty laundry out for cleaning, despite no laundry form being submitted or request being made. It took over an hour to have our clothes returned while we were trying to pack and check out, and no apology was offered. My husband and I have stayed at five-star resorts all over the world, and this is the first property where asking for even the most routine service consistently felt like an imposition. At this price point, exceptional hospitality should be expected. In fact, we found ourselves spending several afternoons and evenings at the Four Seasons and Cap Juluca during our stay. The difference in service, hospitality, overall atmosphere, and guest experience was remarkable. Both properties delivered the level of warmth, attentiveness, and five-star experience that we had expected from Malliouhana. Malliouhana offers some of the most beautiful views in Anguilla, but luxury hospitality is about more than scenery. For travelers seeking a true five-star experience and overall better vibe, I would recommend Four Seasons or Cap Juluca instead.

Truly the best experience for a honeymoon we could ask for! The staff was great, the service was amazing, the view is amazing and it’s so peaceful. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a luxury experience and a home away from home.

My husband treated me to a very special 2 hour massage and I wasn’t sure if that would be too long. Samantha was my esthetician and she was simply amazing. She gave me an incredible massage and then a facial, while wrapping my body like a cocoon. I wish she could be my personal masseuse! No exaggeration simply wonderful. Next year I may have to treat myself!
