The Springs Resort & Spa at Arenal

It is a beautiful resort with tons of flowers and very well maintained. It looks exactly like the pictures on-line. Honeymoon suite was amazing (this room saved our vacation), housekeeping was excellent. The grounds/flora are gorgeous. Also, horseback riding on property is excellent. Horses are well taken care of and the staff is top notch!!! On to the mediocre part. Spa, Food and Drinks. They were so expensive. They must water down the alcohol. This is silly but no cold towel on arrival, we had a long day of travel that would have been really nice. I'd suggest an adult only hot spring area? too many kids jumping off things they shouldn't be. If you want me to wear a plastic wristband to alert staff of my status please upgrade the room key to a bracelet/chip and use that as status. For the price of the room the Wildlife sanctuary, morning nature hike, birdwatching and night walks should be included at Club Rio.

Our family of five stayed at The Springs Resort & Spa in a two‑bedroom Springs Suite, and the suite itself was absolutely beautiful—spacious, comfortable, and perfect for a family. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate during our four-night stay, and we only caught a glimpse of the volcano for a few minutes. That said, we still had a wonderful time and found plenty to enjoy around the resort. The hot spring pools were incredible, and our 11‑year‑old especially loved the slide. It’s very clear this is a family‑friendly resort, and we really appreciated how respectfully the kids were treated—no differently than the adults. Breakfast was included and was excellent: a buffet with made‑to‑order omelets, delicious French toast, and plenty of options for everyone. We also really enjoyed the game room, especially playing ping pong together as a family. Overall, the staff was extremely pleasant and kind, which made the experience even better. Even though I’m giving this a 5‑star review, there are a few areas where improvements could make a big difference—especially considering the price point. We noticed many dirty glasses left around the pool areas and towels that were not returned, so some extra attention to cleanup would go a long way. The beds were extremely hard, and the pillows felt overused and lumpy. A few minor upgrades in this area would have made the stay more comfortable. Overall, The Springs Resort is a beautiful, welcoming destination with fantastic hot springs and a great atmosphere for families. With a little more attention to maintenance and comfort, it could be truly exceptional.

We had an amazing experience at the springs resort and spa! Everyone there was very friendly and always willing to help us out with anything we needed. Bayron in particular went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time! He had the perfect suggestions and was very enthusiastic! Bayron is also super personable and gave us some great conversation! He is super hard working and knows his stuff! 10/10 would come back!!!

Amazing location and friendly staff. I highly recommend the unique location. However, my daughter has a dairy allergy and there was communication issues with the staff. Which resulted in her getting sick.
