The Springs Resort & Spa at Arenal

This resort is absolutely amazing!!! The scenery is spectacular with every room viewing the incredible Arenal Volcano. The resort is wrapped around the cliffside and at every level there are several hot springs for you to relax in. So many activities available for you to enjoy that you never have to leave the resort. Also equally fabulous are the staff, they’re always eager to assist and always smiling. A special shout out to Esteban who was always available to lend a hand. He was so personable and addressed each one of us by name. He helped explain how to navigate the roads, shuttled us through the rain, and pointed out sloths at the hotel entrance. It was a pleasure visiting this beautiful country which was made even better by visiting this resort!

We came here to celebrate our twin sons’ college graduation. This was the perfect trip! The resort was amazing. Beauty EVERYWHERE! Great views of Arenal Volcano. Amazing pools, hot springs, and we enjoyed the water slide and mini golf. The rooms were always clean. We loved the tubing at Club Rio as well as the animal sanctuary tour there. The hot springs were awesome there too. The game areas were fun; we played pool, poker, and checkers in the evenings. All of the food was beyond delicious. Beautifully presented & so good! And the service was impeccable in every area! The staff were friendly and attentive. Tony was especially fantastic! He served us at Treetop Grill; he knew our names immediately and remembered them two days later at breakfast! Wow! We had the best time and will recommend The Springs to anyone going to Costa Rica!

The hotel staff are truley wonderful and go out their way to make you comfortbale so that cannot be faulted, also the rooms are large and clean and very well maintained - you wont actually have a bad stay if you stay at this hotel and its perfectly pleasent. The volacano hike, the tour company used is lovely and the again very helpful, but its a walk near the volcano and honestly the view from the hotel is much better. the reason the hotel only gets three stars instead of 5, is because the hotel itself feels a little man made and artifcal around such beautiful natural surroundings. The hot springs etc - this takes away that feel of luxury and almost makes it feel a little tacky - and probably not worth the premium price.
