We had a great two night stay. All the staff were lovely, very welcoming. The food was wonderful. The house is full of character. We left feeling really refreshed. Watch out for the entrance turn off the main road - as you have to make a sharp turn back on yourself to get through the gateway!

Stayed in June for two nights and had long looked forward to a break in Dunbrody. While we received a nice welcome and our room was fine, if rather tired, these were probably the highlights of our stay. The place really needs a lot of money spent on it and a major general uplift is required! The gardens seem particularly neglected. Most surprisingly, the food was average with the breakfast experience being particularly poor when this should be a highlight. The staff are helpful but not at the standard required for such a purported high class establishment – eg, ignoring a clearly chipped wine glass at our dinner, leaving wine glasses unfilled, advising us to wait outside on the patio and yet taking 20 minutes to bring out menus after having earlier advised us to go and eat in the on-site pub where we were met by a raucous stag party, filthy tables and no welcome from any of the waiting staff. There's a lot of local competition for hotels of this standard in this area (Waterford Castle, Mount Juliet, Monart, Kelly's etc) and we would defiantly try these establishments in the future rather than return to Dunbrody.

I spent one night here, which included an evening meal and breakfast. Food couldn't be faulted, excellent in taste and quality. Bedroom could have benefited from a bit of makeover. Not impressed with the coffee making machine, as my tea tasted of coffee. The grounds outside were lovely and well kept. There is no lift, so stairs have to be used. Staff did carry up our bags, however we carried them down ourselves next day. Overall its an OK experience, but not a wow. Not worth the cost, it's missing the added extras.

Spent two nights at Dunbrody House. First night we visited the on-site pub. Great Irish pub with good food and live music. We even met Kevin Dundon at the pub. As owner of the property and busy professional, he spent a lot of time talking with us. Second night we ate at the restaurant. Outstanding food and beautiful atmosphere. Our room was comfortable and large. We had direct access to the garden. We would definitely come back to Dunbrody House.

We had a delicious meal, three courses and a bottle of wine for €111. A little pricey but the food is of exceptional quality. Perfectly fresh and the flavours exquisite. I had pan fried trout and to say it was tasty is to do the dish an in justice!!! It was a lovely evening, spent in calm, relaxed environs.
