Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort Aruba

This visit marked our fourth stay at Bucuti & Tara and our 30th wedding anniversary, which made returning here feel especially fitting. Once again, the experience confirmed why this remains our place. What has not changed is exactly what keeps drawing us back. The Eagle Beach location is still exceptional, calm, wide, and never crowded. The atmosphere remains low key, adults only, and genuinely restorative. And the staff continues to be the heart of the resort. Warm, attentive, and thoughtful in a way that feels personal rather than procedural. Being recognized as returning guests matters here, and it shows in small but meaningful ways. What continues to evolve, and consistently for the better, is the overall experience. The addition of a wellness tea to the turndown service is a small but terrific touch that fits perfectly with the tone of the resort. Breakfast has changed slightly each year, usually for the better, and this year stood out. There was more seating, a more relaxed flow, and no pressure to hurry while taking in the morning beach views. The addition of new à la carte options to the included breakfast was also a welcome upgrade. The food and drink offerings have reached another level. The beach and bar menus are outstanding and easily the best resort casual dining we have experienced anywhere. The cocktail program is equally elevated. A banana old fashioned was genuinely one of the best old fashioneds I have had anywhere, not just at a resort. Terra, the new on site restaurant, delivered an elite dining experience and now fully aligns the culinary side of the resort with its premier setting and amenities. This was also our first stay outside the Tara building, in a standard room in the Bucuti building, and it was a delightful surprise. While the room was smaller, the quality of finishes and overall experience remained excellent. The balcony offered a beautiful sunset water view, and the partial view of a neighboring resort was not a distraction at all. It is a great option for repeat guests considering a different room type. After four visits, what stands out most is the consistency. Bucuti & Tara continues to improve without losing its identity. It remains serene, impeccably run, and quietly confident in what it offers. For couples and repeat travelers looking for tranquility, warmth, and a place that truly feels like a return rather than just another stay, it remains unmatched.

Every moment of our time at Bucuti felt so special. The staff were kind and accommodating at every turn. We were greeted as soon as we got out of the taxi and whisked through a quick tour of the property with a glass of champagne in hand. The resort is small enough to feel intimate, but large enough to feel spacious and uncrowded. We stayed during the big winter storm that hit the US east coast, and had to add a couple of nights to our stay. The staff were amazing at helping us work through the logistics. They also coordinated several of our excursions and even checked in with us when we came to the lobby to wait for our rides. Rooms were immaculate and large. We had the basic level room. But it still had a balcony, couch, king bed, table and chairs, fridge, coffee station, and microwave. The bathroom had a rainfall showerhead, TV built in to the mirror, and all of the little amenities one expects. Each room also has a dehumidifier and an air filter. Because there are no children or parties allowed, the entire resort, but especially the room, is peaceful and quiet. The in-room iPad has everything you might need to access regarding the resort. They use the iPad, or their app, to schedule reserving their beach chairs, which prevents any need to hustle for a chair each day. The resort has two restaurants, Elements and Terra. Both were excellent. Elements also serves as the breakfast buffet area and the beach bar. The breakfast buffet is next level with almost anything you can imagine as well as a made to order omelette station. Located on Eagle Beach, it's on the low rise area of the island. Within walking distance are about 10 restaurants, a few shops, a small grocery store, and a casino. They also have a shop on property with a little bit of everything, but you will pay a bit more for the convenience. We will definitely be back. The venue is on the high end of the spectrum as far as costs goes, but it is worth every single dollar. My only regret is that we eventually had to come home.

Fantastic experience during our week at Bucuti & Tara. Beautiful location on Eagle beach. Wonderful restaurant and the most friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are comfortable, clean and well maintained. Best asset, the nicest, most pleasant and happiest staff I’ve encountered.
