Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort Aruba

The Bucuti and Tara resort is a beautiful property, well located and very well run: a perfect place for a restful vacation. The food, accomodation and amenities were excellent and the service, in all areas, was stellar. We enjoyed every aspect of our vacation.

Bucuti and Tara is a special place. My wife and I have been to many Caribbean resorts, but this one was the perfect one for us. If you are looking for true peace and tranquility this is the place. They have thought of everything here. The umbrella reservation system really is as good as it sounds. The chairs/umbrellas are spaced out perfectly on the beach for privacy. The beach is absolutely pristine, and the water is so clear. We enjoyed being able to move between the beach and the pool with ease as well. Some little things that make a big difference - bottle fill stations for your water bottles, the best cushioned beach chairs I've sat on at a resort, a flag system to order on the beach, easy access to bathrooms, floats for the pool...I'm probably forgetting some things but all the little touches are here. Elements, the restaurant on site, provides a nice complimentary breakfast. The lunch food is great - we opted for salads, the rice bowl, or the chicken wrap most days. Dinner at Elements was good too, but treat yourself to the on-site restaurant Terra for a truly special experience. The staff here is AMAZING. They are so warm and kind and helpful. One of the servers, Juan, had us laughing every morning. Aisha at the hostess station always greeted us warmly. The Concierge team was super helpful too in making restaurant reservations when we had screwed up the times due to Daylight Savings from the US. Thank you to Fatima, Arlene, and Christopher. My wife and I generally don't go back to the same place twice because we like to have different experiences each year. However, we already booked this place again for next year. If you're looking for a drunken party scene with loud music, this is NOT the place at all. Instead, Bucuti and Tara feels like a carved out niche for those couples like us who want to listen to the sounds of the breeze and the waves while reading our books and dipping our toes in the water. If that's your vibe, this is your place.

Having stayed here on a previous occasion we could not wait to return. Everything about this Hotel / Resort meets or exceeds our expectations and we will be returning again some time soon. Staff go above and beyond to make your whole experience the best that it can be being attentive at all times. The resort is very well maintained inside and out, not a thing out of place. We like the "Sustainability" credentials that they have achieved, if only other hotels took this issue just as seriously. For those who have not yet visited, do not fear... Rooms are spacious, clean, with modern facilities including an iPad to order all necessary services including booking your beach umbrella, restaurant and wellness classes plus much more, could not be easier. The beach is beautiful, soft white sand for miles and not over crowded, the sea temperature was 28'C during our stay. Restaurants, any discerning palette would appreciate the food on the menu, whether a three course meal at the "Terra" a pleasant evening at the "Elements" or light bite at the "Sandbar" Highly recommended.

Loved our stay-within 2 days we were already discussing coming back. Now that we know the “The lay of the land”, we can take advantage of much more that Aruba has to offer. We plan on coming with friends next time-

My husband and I have gone to Aruba annually for 26 years. We tried different resorts for the first few years before "discovering" Bucuti, and now, we don't even think of going anywhere else. I cannot think of anything to put on a "needs improvement" list. The place is immaculate inside and out, and the staff is friendly and responsive to every request. The waitresses in the breakfast area know our names by day two! The early morning yoga and spa services are a lovely touch. We rarely go off-site to eat, as the dining options (from the breakfast offering to the beach bar to the upscale restaurant options) keep us happy and able to just hang out and enjoy what we go to Aruba for - the sun, the beach, the water, and taking a "time out" from the rest of world. The attention that Bucuti pays to its carbon footprint pushes it way over the top of the list.
