I love this place. Amazing food and service and beautiful rooms. Cannot fault this place. I love sitting in the lounge area in the evening with the piano player. Such a lovely and relaxed atmosphere. Want to try the Afternoon Tea next. Highly recommended

This is a great resort. Awesome staff, wonderful grounds, straight out of Downton Abbey, and I highly recommend a stay. Two issues though. I advised that there was a problem with the air conditioning that even if you put the temp up to 26C it was still refrigerator cold. Told them but seems it wasn't fixed for the 2nd night. Luckily it was cool enough for the window to be left open. The other is about the hair dryer. In the bathroom they have no plug for the great hair dryer they provide and in the room there is no mirror which you could use to dry your hair. For a top-notch establishment these seem odd to have been overlooked. Thanks to the staff though...they were really great.

Stayed here for one night. We really enjoyed our stay. The wild flower meadow at the front of the hotel is amazing. There are lots of interesting statues and art to look at around the hotel. We even managed to watch a game of polo. My only fault was that the air con wasn't working that well in our room.

It belongs to the Dorchester collection and you might think you can't go wrong but... no you can't go wrong here! The staff are all accommodating and lovely, which makes your stay even more worthwhile. The rooms are contemporary which I loved, and the whole theme revolves around horses. The Stable room which I stayed in was very comfortable and the room service extremely efficient in such a big property minding the fact that the stable rooms are not part of the main building hotel. The dress code for the "Barn" restaurant is casual chic and many young couples enjoying themselves. During the day you'll see families and at the spa there is a restrictive time till 5:30 pm for young children, which gives adults time and space to relax as the pool is indoor and gets quite noisy with a few kids jumping in and out of the pool. The spa treatments are superb. I hardly enjoy hotel spas as they tend to be very regimented in their style and method of therapy, but here it's something different. The private lounge at the spa is nice for an afternoon tea, flapjack and a book as there are many books and magazines available. I also enjoyed horse back riding in the magnificent fields, and around the golf course. All very charming in a very non arrogant manner.

My wife and i visited for a single night stay. The hotel has been beautifully designed. great bedrooms, restaurants, public spaces and amazing grounds. The hotel sets itself very high service standards, and regrettably fails to deliver consistently. i recommend checking restaurant availability before confirming a booking. Upon check-in, we tried to book a table for dinner, We were initially told the restaurant was full; and that we should have reserved in advance ! We then had a lengthy conversation with the duty manager who told us it was very busy but could accomodate us at 5.30 or 6; or 10pm finally, they agreed to allow us to have dinner at 7.30. At 7.32 we received a call asking why we were late.... From the time we arrived, until the time we left, the restaurant was at most one third full with empty tables everywhere. Worse, there were several tables of non-resident guests who were visiting only for dinner. I have no idea why they couldn't give us a reservation if the restaurant was so quiet. the hotel also should not accept tables form non-residents if they are expecting the hotel to be full. Food and service in the restaurant were excellent.
