Unique & beautiful hotel in a unique city. This was our second stay here, and brought our family along for this Thanksgiving weekend. They were blown away by its unique decor and first class manner, incl. the valet parking. An added plus is the convenient location: right at the entry to Biltmore Estate and Asheville city shops. A must experience stay in a must visit city- just do it!!!

We booked a girls weekend getaway for Christmas shopping and spa. The main hotel was booked, so we reserved a room in The Manor House which is directly across the street. From first arriving at valet parking to check out, our every request was met with a smile. Our room was not equipped with a mini fridge, so we were able to secure one right away. We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and were promptly checked in and given room keys. The weekend we were there, Asheville received a record snowfall around 10+ inches which fell continuously early Friday morning to late afternoon Saturday. The Grand Bohemian restaurant & bar was one of the very few establishments remaining open. Due to the icy roads, we cancelled our downtown dining reservations and walked to Ruth Chris Steakhouse for dinner, which was fantastic. The hotel provided guests with large umbrellas which were a godsend due to the constant sleet/snow and winds. We tried shopping at the Biltmore Village Shops, but again many were closed due to the roads. We reserved spa appointments for Friday; I enjoyed a massage and my friend had a facial. The spa treatments have various "add-ons" you can select if you choose. I added dry brushing to my massage which was great. Locally hand crafted Privai spa products are available for purchase and I left with a tub of rich body cream and muscle therapy lotion. Please note the spa does not have a restroom, pool or sauna. This hotel does have a small workout room equipped with treadmills & ellipticals, free weights and typical weight machines. Floor mats are not provided, so you'll have to bring one or use hand towels which are provided. Water is available in a fresh jug dispenser; there was also a large dispenser of lemon water which looked sketchy and dirty. The workout room is small but adequate. We visited the bar several times and enjoyed it very much (hey it was a snow storm, don't judge!) Our weekend packaged included a $50 breakfast allowance and we took advantage of this all three days. The best thing on the breakfast menu was the WNC local trout Eggs Benedict with grit cakes. We spit an order of blue cheese grits and were in heaven. Thank goodness for that workout room! We had to ask for a few things from the concierge or housekeeping and these were delivered promptly. We had a King room in The Manor House; the large bathroom did not have a door but a heavy curtain for privacy. There were large privacy glass doors for the walk-in shower and separate toilet. There was no fan for this area. Our room looked out toward Biltmore Village and the railroad tracks. Be aware that a train ran through here approximately 3:20 am. If you have a noise machine, I would highly recommend bringing it. Otherwise, the room was very quiet and comfortable. I'm looking forward to staying at this property again. I've visited the beautiful Grand Bohemian Hotel in Charleston, SC and it has a completely different vibe and decor. This hotel blends perfectly with the mountain surroundings, having a rustic, almost Bavarian feel. I can say that many of the staff had to spend the night due to the snowstorm and treacherous road conditions. Most guests seemed to be enjoying themselves and certainly everyone's needs were met with a smile. Kudos to the staff and management!

Beautiful lobby with a huntsman's atmosphere. Large open fireplace is centrally located and the surrounding walls are adorned with various animal heads. Add in some antique firearms, and you get the message. Staff is very professional and extremely courteous. Our room had a king-size bed that was very comfortable. The room, itself, was spacious, clean, and nicely appointed. One enters the room to background music playing over the Bose music system (nice). A unique feature, that we could not quite understand, was the bay window into the bathroom!!!! They did put 2 half doors on the opening so you could get some privacy. But, between the glass doors on the shower and toilet, one wonders what were they thinking when they put in that opening??!!! Regardless, this is a place worth seeing and staying over.

We stayed at this hotel due to a business conference my husband was attending. When we arrived to check-in, there was a complete backlog and it took over an hour for us to get in our room. After a long day driving, it was really exhausting to have to wait so long in the crowded lobby along with everyone else. After that hiccup, we did have a really nice stay. Our king room did not have a large bathtub as advertised on the website, and I was really disappointed about that. In fact, the bathroom was really designed for one person. The only way to get any privacy at all in the bathroom was to close the noisy sliding barn door. It was very loud if you had to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Definitely not a very good arrangement. Other than that, the room was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable and I really enjoyed the coffee maker in the room. The lobby area was really nice and I did love the fresh apples and hot chocolate that were provided for the guests to enjoy. The staff was excellent! They were all extremely helpful and very nice. The location was also nice as it was so close to walk to all the shops. I don't know if I would have paid the price for this hotel on my own, but we did enjoy it during my husband's conference.

Gorgeously decorated hotel. Convenient to Biltmore and charming Biltmore Village. Wonderful staff prompt check-in even without a reservation. Warm hot beverages in the lobby with seating around a large fireplace. Soaker tub in room, very clean with charming decor, soft sheets, comfy bed. Nice little gym with fruit infused water, fruit and clean towels. Perfect hotel for our romantic getaway to Asheville without our kids.
