Albergo Al Sole in Asolo, Italy

Touted as the crown jewel of Italy's Treviso Province, Asolo is home to the intimate and charming Albergo Al Sole. Housed in a freestanding 19th-century building with shuttered-clad windows and the occasional jutting terrace, you will enjoy the incredible town views as well as excellent service and charming accommodations. The 23 guestrooms and suites are spacious and wonderfully appealing, bridging the charm of the centuries past with the modern amenities expected from today's travelers. The stylish bathrooms, with their pedestal tubs and shiny chrome fixtures, are equally large and cloaked in beautiful Italian tiles with intricate details.

While Asolo has no shortage of fabulous ristorantes, you need not venture past the lobby doors. The hotel's Terrace restaurant is a private retreat with an excellent menu, complete with outdoor living room and savory views. You can also learn the art of Italian cooking with culinary lessons right on the premises at Las Terrazza Restaurant. The appeal of Albergo Al Sole, besides its romantic allure, is its enviable town center location. With a setting just a stone's throw from breathtaking Venice, Asolo is known for its stunning villas, manicured gardens and narrow, arcade-laden streets. It is also the hub for Italian antiquities with dealers displaying their wares the second Sunday of each month. Fill your days by sipping espresso in the market square, a lovely destination that is embellished with an ancient fountain, arched doorways and lovely porticos - or venture into Venice to shop for Murano glass or leather goods. Time spent in Asolo and its surrounding areas is definitely time spent well.

We stayed at Albergo al Sole in June for our wedding weekend. Last year we made our first trip to Asolo to look at hotels for our guest and fell in love with Albergo al Sole from the moment we walked in. Great first impressions. The owners gave us a warm welcome and even without a prior appointment took the time to show us around and tell us about the hotel. Until the weekend they were great with helping with any questions we had as well as the booking and dinners we wanted to host. The hotel was entirely booked for our guest the first weekend of June. Silvia and Elena and their staff really went above and beyond to make sure we had a magical weekend. Staff was always smiling and helpful with any questions or request we had during our stay. All guest were super happy and loved the location. The central location of the hotel is fantastic, creating a unique setting overlooking the main square. We stayed in one of the Junior Suites overlooking the square with a small balcony. Every morning one would automatically walk to the window to have a look at the view. The room was spacious with a large bathroom and air-condition. The rooms might not be the most modern but it certainly adds to the charm of the old town and the history of the hotel. The restaurant offers a variety of local specialties, presented in a modern and refined manner. The eating experience is not only one you make with your mouth but also with your eyes! Local food also means seasonal vegetables and fruits, and therefore more authentic and tasty dishes as well as more health-conscious choices. Great wine selection too! Overall amazing experience and are look forward to go back next year for our anniversary :)

Here for two nights and could not have been happier. From check in through check out everything was first class. The food both at breakfast and the one dinner at the hotel was terrific . The staff was even better. They could not do enough to ensure your satisfaction. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We spent four nights here and toured the beautiful town and took day trips. Helena and staff were sure to make us comfortable, assist us with making plans and most importantly, feed us the most delicious and creative food and marvelous local wines! We loved sitting on the balcony overlooking the town and beautiful valley. My husband went on a bike ride with a guide, beautiful countryside! I highly recommend visiting Asolo and enjoying Albergo Al Sole!

Located at the top of a beautiful hillside town, this small hotel is beautifully appointed. I had an elegant, spacious room on the first floor, ultra clean and well serviced. On the same floor is a small, boutique bar, and an elegant dining room, leading to a terrace, where breakfast overlooking the town, and valley below, is very special.

We planned a four day road trip from Venice where we were staying for one month. We seleceted the Albergo over the Cipriani because we felt it was more suitable to our style and it didn't disappoint. Sister owners Elena and Silvia were excellent hosts, the hotel was modern, beautiful and with an amazing view, especially from the Terrace Restaurant. The service was among the best we've experienced in Europe. We will recommend the Albergo to anyone visiting Asolo. And we will stay there on our next visit.
