I visit the Jerome often- typically for brunch or lunch with friends. Every visit seems to get better- I enjoy the Jerome's attention to detail and always providing an extraordinary experience. From the valets, to the hostess, servers and management the Jerome never disappoints and always exceeds my expectations.

We were met by the lovely cowboy-hatted young men who valeted our car and delivered our luggage to the room. The staff could not have been friendlier or more knowledgeable about the hotel. Our room was very spacious with a mega-comfortable deluxe king bed, the complimentary snacks and drinks was a nice touch and the humidifier an excellent and appreciated extra. We loved the tasteful western style decor, and enjoyed a cocktail in the bar too. We didn't use the heated pool which looked fun or have dinner but I'm sure we will next time. Complimentary shuttle service available but everything in Aspen is within walking distance. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Let me preface this by saying I never write reviews but this was too awful to not share. My boyfriend and I were scheduled to fly to Aspen directly from LA early on a Thursday morning. However after many rerouted flights and cancellations due to weather, we were unable to even get to Denver till 9pm at night. In essence, a day was lost. While I'm the Denver airport, we were told the roads to aspen were closed due to weather conditions. As a result, I called the hotel to ask what would happen if we cancelled the reservation as we didn't know how long it would take to get to Aspen and our skis were checked on a flight and wouldn't get there till at the earliest 2pm the following day assuming nothing went wrong (so 2 days would have been lost). The lady on the phone reassured me that we could reschedule the trip in full but only till the end of the month. Well it wasn't perfect but at least we had that option so we flew back to LA and made it home after 18 hours of travel. The following morning I called the hotel to reschedule and they told me that actually no you only get half of wait you originally paid and you get till the end of the month but you have to deal with the third party member you booked the tickets through in order to rebook. I called the third party and let them know the scenario and they said they would reschedule no problem. After two weeks of hotel power arguing with hotel Jerome, jerome finally agreed to let me rebook till the end of the year for the full value (since the month was almost over by then). So I called the hotel to reschedule and they then told that they never said that. I had to call hotel power again. Another 3 weeks of arguments went by and hotel Jerome agreed to let me rebook till the end of 2017 for half the value which is essentially a night and a half. I could have had more than that if I had slept the night in Denver but was told by Jerome that I could reschedule in full which was the deciding factor in us going home. Despite how nice I was to everyone during this annoying time, the reservations department at the hotel always tried to get me off the line and acted as if I was causing them such a headache just because I was trying to sort out a horrible situation. They completely cheated me of money and wasted 2 months worth of my free time and said it was because they can't control the weather. You may not be able to control the weather, but you can certainly control customer service and boy did you fail epically. As an example of how customer service should be is The Post Ranch Inn which we had also booked a stay in. The hotel couldn't be accessed by cars as the bridge to Big Sur was broken so they offered to pay for us to take a helicopter to the hotel since they wanted to accommodate a booking we had made so far in advance. They valued the customers decision to stay at their hotel, and as a result, I will keep going back there. Protect your money and DO NOT go to Jerome. It's a huge mistake especially considering there are often complications that come with getting into Aspen and they don't care about people, their money or their time.

Once again, our stay at the hotel Jerome exceeded all expectations. Aspen is a beautiful place and the hotel is beautifully decorated and appointed to match. But the best part, and what I look forward to is the service. Tamara, Missy and Mark at the concierge desk go the extra mile to make sure every excursion from the hotel is perfect and that while in the hotel, we have everything we need. The hostess at the Prospect restaurant, Lesley, always remembers our family and ushers us to our table with a smile and conversation. The waitstaff are knowledgeable and attentive. And to top everything off, the bellmen are a font of knowledge, giving you important tips for enjoying Aspen as they hold open he door and hand you a bottle of water. Make mine the Hotel Jerome every time!

We had never been to Aspen before, and, in looking online, all the hotels seemed fairly much the same: new, modern, and lacking in any kind of personality. Then I clicked on the Hotel Jerome site, and realised I'd found precisely what I wanted: a hotel that looks and feels like a rich, eccentric friend's home. Our hats off to whoever designed the interior; each area has something of beauty to rest your eyes upon, whether it's the cowboy painting over the fireplace, the silver birdcages hanging from the ceiling, or the beautiful pears in the Prospect room. We drove up to the hotel and were greeted by Stetson-wearing car valets, who whisked our car away to the garage as we checked in. On the reception desk, we were offered as a drink of ChlorOxygen Tonic, which is supposed to help with Aspen's high altitude. As someone who lives at sea level, I was chugging this tonic like it was my new best friend. I like to think it helped! We were escorted to our room, which was everything we love in a hotel room: a big bed with crisp linens, a toilet with two sinks, Hermes bath products, a sofa that begs one to sit down and get comfortable, a Nespresso machine and plenty of coffee pods to go with it, plus a generous mini-bar. At that point, I was 100% sure we'd made the right booking. The hotel is from the late 1800s, and blends antique with modern exquisitely. The bar downstairs is where we wanted to spend all our time, and I could see we weren't the only ones who felt that way. The place was comfortably full, and casual. No need to dress up here - jeans are most definitely acceptable, with either fur coats or Canada Goose jackets. It's one thing to be a beautiful hotel, but without the right service staff, it means nothing. Luckily for the Jerome, they've put together a great team of professional people, who engage with their guests, anticipate questions, and genuinely want to help make your stay the best you've ever had. In my opinion, they succeeded. We felt well-taken care of, weren't treated like one sheep in a herd of 1,000s, and that feeling, together with great meals, comfort, and warm ambience, make the Jerome a hotel we will recommend and return to, time and again.
