For 41 years, The Hotel Jerome has been in my life in various capacities. I grew up in Aspen and, the hotel has been the Epicenter for town events and family moments. From my first wedding (mine), to a respite when my Dad passed away, the hotel has been accommodating, thoughtful, and warm-even as it changed hands between owners. As a local, one expects things to be familial and quaint. But Aspen is no longer those things. Hotel Jerome has strived to keep its family appeal but with its recent changes in ownership, it feels less Colorado and more of an interpretation of what it was. The rooms are very comfortable-I stay in the Presidential Suite so that said, I have also stayed in Junior Suites when solo and they are lovely. But dark. Decor and Room Service are the areas needed for improvement. The Staff are all transplants now, new and recent college grads or students-but that's what you get in a ski town for labor. That said, the language barrier is often frustrating when ordering Room Service (various mis-interpretations and a very spotty menu)-sometimes things show up burned or undercooked or over sauced. This is a Chef issues repeatedly. Other than that, the Auberge Staff are friendly and put up with a lot of High Maintenance Out-of Town Brat Behaviors and frankly, they do a pretty good job at putting up with the New York Nose-Job set. It's not a walk I would tolerate. So, Room Service needs some attention, the menu needs expansion, (No One wants over -spiced Five Spice on their Bacon people)-and maybe- less Pretense with the cars and the Limos and the Valet...."Are you somebody to know?" attitude is hilarious to me. It's just the Valet boys....Its not "your big break in movies"....Or is it? Haha. If you are going to stay in Aspen, the Jerome gives the last Bastion of what Aspen was thirty years ag0---steeped in history and lore, with a smooth of civility and comfort. I HEART it pretty big. Will stay there the rest of my life.

Amazing stay, we were upgraded to beautiful suite, received impeccable service, and truly treated like VIP’s. We have traveled all over the world, this was one of our favorite stays. We saw a car and driver at the airport picking up another guest, and asked about a ride, and she called the hotel to send a car for us. It was there in 10 min. We had planned on a cab. I could list a dozen ways the staff went above and beyond our expectations, and our expectations are high!

The hotel was lovely and in the heart of Aspen. You could see the ski slopes from the front door. The exercise facilities were excellent. The offerings of food are superb and the rooms are well equipped with wifi and lacking nothing that is needed.

Great location in the heart of the village. Incredible service and food. Best burgers. Marvelous decor. Feels like a private club. Staff is willing to accommodate special requests. For the skier, they can take care of all rentals and make it all easy. Love the Jerome!

Beautiful historic hotel with great ambiance, the food is the best in town in every dining option including J bar, Prospect, and the living room. The service is prompt everywhere from room service to house keeping and bellmen. The atmosphere is wonderful and the place is always buzzing. The decor is chic mixed with antique and historic. The shuttle service is good and mostly complimentary, my only suggestion is to make it all complementary and have more frequent timing especially to the ski mountains. Overall I think it is the best in Aspen.
