We always stop in the Hotel Jerome for a meal when we're in Aspen. We haven't stayed there for many years, though, because lodging is expensive. (But worth it, for a honeymoon or other special occasion.) Last week, we ate in the Living Room, because the Prospect was closed for renovation. We had spicy edamame, an order of tacos and a sandwich. Great food, great service, amazing atmosphere.

Hotel Jerome exceeded all expectations of a 5 star resort! Very friendly & helpful staff. Gorgeous and historic hotel within walking distance to everything Aspen has to offer. Concierges were outstanding! Hotel Jerome's restaurants served food that was so fresh and delicious, & our room was both comforting and lovely!

My husband and I visited Aspen for the first time at the beginning of August and we fell in love with the quaint, elegant charm of this town. Lodging at Hotel Jerome certainly contributed to our overall enjoyment of the trip. For starters, car service from the airport is provided by the hotel, as are drop-offs/pick-ups around town (part of the resort fee), which we appreciated since we did not have a vehicle. The hotel staff at reception were extremely welcoming upon check-in, as well as throughout our stay. We were thrilled to receive a comp upgrade to a junior suite and several extra ammenities since we booked through Amex FHR. (We've had the best run of luck with these upgrades lately!) The hotel is stylish, with western decorative nods throughout and comfortable public spaces that practically beg you to sit back and relax awhile. Our room was spacious but still felt cozy, and featured a Red Mountain view. It is unlikely I will forget our enormous bathtub any time soon either. It was so luxurious, I took a long soak all three nights we were there (Carl's Pharmacy next door has fab natural bath products!) The staff throughout the hotel were so friendly and accommodating. We had Zlatan as our server each morning at breakfast and he was quick and courteous. We also enjoyed a fun chat with Striker at the bar in the Living Room after our Maroon Bells hike. He had us in stitches with his tales of bear/human encounters in town. But the housekeeping staff is to be particularly commended. As I am prone to nosebleeds in dry, high-altitude climates, I appreciated the humidifier provided in the room and made use of it on our first evening. In addition to the impeccable cleaning of our room, the housekeepers made sure to refill the humidifier and get it ready to go each subsequent night at turndown. It's a small thing that made a huge impression. We were pleased with every aspect of Hotel Jerome, from the complimentary in-room snacks and beverages, to the quality and taste of the food and drinks in the restaurant and bar. The location is perfect—everything we wanted, from dining to shopping, was only a short walk away. Our only regret is that we didn't get the opportunity to walk sweet Rocky, the puppy concierge. Next time, Rocky, next time! Before booking our accommodations, we looked into a couple of the other luxury hotels in Aspen, but decided on Hotel Jerome because it looked more like "us." I'm so glad we made the right choice. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we return to Aspen.

All staff were friendly and on top of things! We loved the stylish touches such as the belts on the elevator walls, Western art and lights on dimmers (and Toto WC). A lady comes by in the afternoons bearing music and lemonade (with or without spirits). J-Bar food was great - see photo of spicy, grilled edamame. Old building with just enough creaks, but modern amenities - beautiful views of mountains and across the street from my favorite place, Explore Booksellers!
