The Limelight is clean, fairly spacious and a great location. The breakfast spread is great, free and ever changing. Save you quite a bit of money for a family of 4. Any place that puts out almond milk for coffee gets my thumbs up. Lounge area great for hanging out after day on the slopes featured live music every day we were there. Highly recommend.

Having stayed at the original limelight many times back in the 80s & 90s, I was very impressed with the new Limelight Hotel. The new hotel with amenities just adds to its great location at the foot of Aspen Mountain. The lounge in the lobby had a wonderful breakfast buffet in the mornings, offered delicious oven baked pizzas in the afternoon, and featured live music in the evenings.

This is not a budget hotel, nor a luxury one, it's really a modern and casual hotel, kids and pets friendly! Rooms are pretty big and clean, beds comfortable. We were on the 3rd floor which was really quiet at night. Staff is helpful and really nice. The location in town is great too and the complimentary shuttle from the airport is a plus. Pool and jacuzzi are great after one day of ski! Happy hour at the bar from 5pm to 7pm is appreciable:-) If you have kids they propose you some s'mores kits to grill on one of their fireplaces! On the downside, here are some comments: - avoid rooms 121 to 131 on the 1st floor (street level). There are located between the busy lobby bar and the lift to the upper floors. It's noisy in the evening and there is a lot of movements all day long! - Breakfast buffet included in the room price is okay, lot of choice (smoked salmon on Sundays!) Unfortunately you are not placed at table by an hostess and there is not a lot of places to be seated. Sometimes around 8am you have to wait to get a table. - The modern deco of the hotel (a lot of pale green) is sad. The global atmosphere is indescribable in the main dining room /bar: not fun, not festive. Strange, no soul... - Music at night (bands from Tue to Sat) in the bar is too loud. you can't discuss. - This is not a ski in / ski out resort. I have to admit this is difficult to find as in Aspen you always have to take a bus/ shuttle to ski... disappointing - No place where you can store your ski boots at night: you have to take them in your bedroom. - Shuttles offered by the hotel to go on one of the 4 ski areas have to be booked in advance. They are not really useful as there is an town bus stop at the corner of the street. Anyway, we had a great ski week this winter at the limelight. We recommend it for a stay in Aspen, but don't expect too much!

We enjoyed après ski at the Limelight a few days on our family ski trip and it was not to be missed. The restaurant offered deals on pizzas and bar food, as well as drink specials and beer. It was incredibly family friendly, affordable and had live entertainment. We were able to find seats and the kids loved the food and root beer and we were happy to find a lively après ski scene that was fun, yet family appropriate. Would even consider staying at the hotel next year.

wonderful ski lodge we went over christmas with friends. 2 other families with children and we all enjoyed it. the rooms are very large. beds super comfy and large bedrooms. all have views and super close to town ski transport to mountains works like a treat and the drivers are so lovely. the staff in itself is what makes this hotel and special thanks to robert and marty!!! they have a nice pool, 2 spa pools and a lovely gym. restaurant was busy, breakfast enormous ! wthe only bad thing is the rooms are not sound proof, which in the winter it does not matter as everybody comes home tired from a day at the mountain, but it might matter in the summer. Anyway we definitely will be back and booking soon!!! can highly recommend.
