Experience all that Colorado has to offer at The Limelight Hotel – part of the Lifestyle collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts – a chic retreat in the heart of Aspen that brilliantly combines the contemporary comfort of a boutique hotel with the casual, laid-back atmosphere of an old-fashioned ski lodge. In the summer, hiking and biking are especially popular, with themed bike rides through town and access to mountain trails. We stayed for 3 nights and our rate inc. breakfast. It was fairly expensive but was worth it. Very clean, nicely decorated and a good size room. Nice selection for breakfast too. We parked our car outside of the main door and reception gave us a permit for free parking. Parking was also available in a heated underground carpark at a cost of around $18 per night. We tried to use the hotels free shuttle service to Snowmass but missed it so we ended up taking the free bus service that Aspen provides. The bus stop was around the corner. Hotel is in a good location and just a short walk to the gondola of Aspen mountain.

Wow. What a wonderful stay. The Limelight has it all: transport to and from the airport, as well as to all 4 of the mountain ski areas; discounts on rental equipment from 4 Mountain Sports for 4+ days of rentals; a ski locker area; complementary buffet-style breakfast with many choices; comfortable rooms; complementary "inside tracks (with ski pros!)," "first tracks," and snowshoeing sessions; free cookies at 3PM daily in the hotel lounge, with live music and great pizza in the evenings; and a location conveniently in town (you can even walk to Aspen/Ajax Mountain and the bus station). But really what makes the Limelight stand out is the staff. They're friendly, unpretentious, and go above and beyond to make you happy. For example, our flight home was cancelled due to weather two nights in a row. We needed a place to stay, and despite being at capacity the second night, the Limelight somehow found us a room for the night, and charged us a very reasonable rate despite our desperate situation. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back! Thanks for a great week! General Tip: if you're flying out of Aspen airport (ASE) in the winter, consider getting trip insurance. The airport is frequently shut down for weather events.

My wife, myself and my teenage children stayed at the Limelight over the Christmas and we enjoyed our stay there. The highlight of this hotel; super friendly and accommodating staff, large and comfortable rooms and its location at the heart of Downtown Aspen. Limelight is not a luxurious hotel. Aspen is expensive so expect to pay more for the prestige!

My visit started when Jack picked us up at the airport. He was of course friendly and efficient. He also went out of his way to make us feel welcome at the Limelight and in Aspen. A real five-star experience! Nantucket’s loss is Aspen’s gain.
