I normally don't have time to write reviews, but I must say what a WONDERFUL experience I had checking-in to the St. Regis in Aspen --- all thanks to Ethan! Ethan is professional, very helpful, incredibly nice and really set the tone for an amazing trip. The BEST front desk check-in ever. 5-Star Service.

My wife and I spent four nights here in 2016 and returned with our adult kids for another three nights in mid-July 2017. This a traditional upscale property with beautiful, though by my lights somewhat dated and drab, indoor public spaces and rooms. Compared to the lively, brilliant decor of, say, properties by Frimdale Hotels, the St Regis is a bit of a snooze. Compared to the Hotel Jerome in Aspen, the St Regis lacks the character that comes with having a strong thematic element. But the outdoor spaces are terrific, absolutely incomparable, and the location is superb. Putting it all together, there is no better place to stay in Aspen. As for possible improvements, I would suggest St Regis, as well as many other hotels, should follow their Las Vegas counterparts by setting up a dedicated coffee/snack/pastry bar. I am thinking of something like the Bellagio's Palio, where sandwiches, salads, pastries and the full range of coffee drinks (not to mention beer) are available at almost reasonable prices throughout the day.

This is a great hotel to stay in Aspen. It's walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in town. The staff in the hotel is very helpful. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and very luxurious. The pool is a little small but other than that the hotel is great and I highly recommend it.

This place is pricey--best to look for 'deals' or in whatever they consider to be the 'off-season'--but once you are here you will never want to leave. The St. Regis is easily the number-one spot to stay in Aspen. Aspen is a bit like the Hamptons out in Long Island, New York, but there are enough old bars and great restaurants to make it easy to enjoy. The St. Regis has a great little pool set at the bast of Aspen can just settle into a couple of chairs here, sip some rose, and while away the time in magnificent style. The rooms at this hotel and gorgeous, great bathrooms, great amenities, great towels, great snacks, great staff, and again, a fabulous setting with Aspen Mountain right out your window. If you can find a deal, then this place of wonderful...if price doesn't matter to you, then pop in and stay for a month--you will love it all!

We attended a conference at the St. Regis, and the ballroom was beautiful, huge chandeliers and modern decor. Bathrooms were clean and spacious. We heard the entire space has been recently redone by a group of Chinese investors, so the hotel looks refreshed. It's a close walk from the ruby park bus terminal up the hill, and close to everything in downtown Aspen. The rooms are more expensive than other properties including the Westin Snowmass, but that's Aspen.
