Friendly staff and clean rooms in the center of Asunción. Overall, I would rate it a good three star hotel or a basic four star one. Breakfast is OK but overall food quality is pretty basic. Good for a short business trip.

This is a truly boutique hotel with personal service, excellent rooms and a staff that makes one feel very much at home. There are many different types of rooms, some even have a living room, others have also a dinning table and a kitchenette. The location is also very good and so is their restaurant.

Regrettably I stayed only one night at this lovely hotel which is a rich mix of the local Guarani culture with European influence. I was upgraded at check-in to room 205 which is a huge four room suite: a complete kitchen, a cathedral ceiling two story living room with leather seating for nine people and a big screen tv, a king size bedroom with french doors to close it off from the living room, a jacuzzi tub, a chaise lounge, two bathroom sinks and a separate room with a toilette and shower. Most of the suite is decorated in white. Both the bedroom and living room have separate air conditioning controls. Every possible accessory you may need is available: sewing kit, shoe shine, dental kit, coasters for your drinks to protect the furniture, slippers, robe, etc. There is amazing attention to detail like the lace doilies under the glasses in the bathroom and the hand crocheted curtains. I ordered a pitcher of the local cocktail, cana sol, and hosted a cocktail party for 7 in my living room. Staff was very gracious and pulled everything together in less than an hour. Laptop computers are available in the hallway of the second floor for guests. Bedding is clean, very comfortable with four pillows to chose from. There is a second tv in the king size bedroom. I would always stay in this hotel anytime I visit Asuncion. I would visit it a lot more frequently if it were located closer to my home! It's a real hidden gem.

The hotel is great, the rooms are nice, the breakfast is yummy. Yes, all that is true, but I arrived at 4 AM and through a mix-up in my office, there was no room reserved at Le Mision till that evening. But the gracious front desk went out of his way to find me a place (8 hotels later...there was a big holiday in Argentina and they had overrun the city it seems), offer me refreshments while he worked and helped me get a cab there. Wow! And when I checked in that evening, the hotel comped me to a nicer room(really just a bit bigger cause I think all the rooms I have seen are really nice) and they had a fruit plate out for me AND they arranged a free ride to the airport the following morning form my flight out. None of this was necessary but it was definitely appreciated. I do have one tiny concern and that is the rooms have a certain odor(not at all unpleasant, quite floral) that is a bit irritating to my lungs.....not sure whether this is a certain cleaning product or what but toning it down that fragrance just a bit would have been great for me......like I said, a very small thing but just enough to be noticeable to me.
